I dont even know where to start. First, we went here last Saturday. The main reasons we came here were bc it's new to the neighborhood and we wanted to try it and it has gluten free buns and American cheese. I have allergies. Waiter was nice enough. We ordered drinks no problem. That was the last of no problems. When it came to ordering is when it all started going down hill. I asked the waiter to check on an items ingredients bc of my allergy. He took the others orders and said he'd be right back with an answer. He put their order in and didn't get back with my answer for approx 10mins. I never saw him or I would have waved him over. Needless to say, the other were half way thru their meals before I got mine. I ordered a burger which looked great until I cut into it. It was as rare as rare can be. They did not ask me how I wanted it cooked and I did not offer. I did not realize my burger would come like that. It was gross! I would have asked them to recook it but my family would have been done eating by then. I ended up taking it home and cooking it more. The other meals were meh. Fast forward to today. I was craving a burger and thought I'd give them another chance. Bad idea. I ordered via phone. The gal repeated the correct order back to me which included "well done". We go to pick it up and find out they tried calling me once to tell me they were out of gluten free buns. Idk about you but I don't answer my phone to unrecognizable numbers unless I'm expecting a call. They did not leave a message. We get there to find out no buns. I didn't want the burger without the bun but they covered their asses by saying they tried calling. Leave a message next time! I would have called back and saved myself time, money and having to cook. You'd think that'd be the end of this mess ha! I bet you can figure out what happens next. We get home I cut into the burger that's supposed to be "well done" and it's rare again. I had to cook the meal again I just paid $40 for and requested well done. I was excited to try this new burger place but left disappointed. The staff greeted us immediately as we entered and then continued their conversation before showing us to a table. We were first offered a table by the door, which we declined. The second table was mildly better. The waitress was timid, hesitant, and didn't seem to hear well (place wasn't loud). The loaded fries we ordered as an appetizer were tasty. The chili was bland and served in an enormous bowl which made me cringe thinking about the big vat of slop in the kitchen. The burgers were bland, not seasoned. I had the garlic burger but didn't taste much of anything other than the brioche bun. The kids sliders were smothered in ketchup so neither one ate. In fact, no one at the table ate more than a few bites of the burgers. I am not sure how this place is getting 5 star reviews. The rat running across the dining room is the nail in the coffin for me. Disappointing. Was really looking forward to trying this new place. I really liked Meat Up which was the restaurant previously at this location, and was hoping the burgers here were as good given the similarity between their menus. We ordered 2 burgers, sweet potato fries and some chicken wings for take-out. The burgers and fries were very soggy, and the wings looked and tasted like they had been sitting under a lamp all day. If I got this at a cafeteria I would be happy but for these prices I don't feel like our expectations were met. This will probably be our last time there. read more

Disappointing. When we arrived just after 2 p.m., we were told the kitchen was backed up, so there would be a 10-15 minute wait (tables were open, they just weren't filling them). No problem, it happens. The wait ended up being closer to 30 minutes. Just before we were called in, another couple literally walked in off the street, spoke to the hostess, and walked directly out to the patio - the same seating we had been waiting 30 minutes to occupy. Our table was dirty, as were others nearby, and although the server cleaned it, when our silverware was brought out, it was sitting on top of a dirty napkin. The aforementioned couple got their food before we did. All of these things might be overlooked as an off day (short-staffed, maybe?) if the food was good. It wasn't. I ordered the garlic burger, which was surprisingly lacking in flavor. See the pic of what it looked like on the menu vs. on my plate. You'll pay at least $6.50 more if you want fries with your burger, as they are not included. Sorry, but this meal was not worth the $40 (not including tip) price tag for two burgers, one order of fries, and a soda. Wish we had heeded the warning of the disgruntled customers at the adjacent table when we were first seated. Lesson learned. read more

I'm going to say it is not worth the price. I bought the garlic burger. It had no flavor at all and the couple of onion rings on it were the size of a silver dollar. Not kidding. Also the description of the burger and the photo they show is nothing like the burger they served me. The one thing I can say is the burger bun was amazingly soft and on point! My burger patty was about 20% smaller than the bun. Call yourself a "Craft Burger" then serve a craft burger for the price you ask for. I'm sure I will get a lot of grief from Placentia Buzzers but they didn't have the experience I had. I'd rather pay the price at Bigs in Fullerton for their ABC burger that comes with a side (I choose their fruit bowl which is amazing) also the Clubhouse prime rib melt that comes with a side. I rarely slam a business but this one is very overrated. Maybe because of the rent you have to pay. I know others that feel the same. We went on a recommendation of two different people. We went New Years Eve afternoon. It was pretty quiet. Many local beers on tap as well as big name ones. Very good service and quick food delivery. We tried a lot of food. My custom burger was very big and juicy. They have many bun options at no extra charge. Bacon was very thick and crispy. We ordered the fork stand up chili (award winning) . Very beefy, some beans, little veggies. It is served in a HUGE bowl topped with Fritos, green onions, cheese and drizzled with a thin sour cream type sauce. Mac and cheese was great. I'm pretty picky as most are dry and flavorless. I added salt and pepper and enjoyed it very much! Hubble got the caesar salad. pretty presentation. It's literally a half of Romain head sticking up out of a bowl. We loved the tater tots. They could have been a tad bit crispier but now I'm just nit picking. The food was amazing! I am not a burger person but the best burger I have ever had. I ordered the pastrami burger and i loved the way it was cooked and how cheese melted in my mouth. The wings were so good I preferred there Buffalo ones but we also had the sriracha honey wings (just the right amount of spicy). I also enjoyed the house blonde bear. Great food, beer, and service at this new spot! I got the Cali burger and my husband got the garlic burger, both were absolutely delicious and I can't decide which one I liked more. We got some regular fries to share and those were good too. They made some improvements with the interior, which was nice, but it still looks pretty similar from the last place that was here. So happy with this new local spot! Can't wait to try more of their food! Craft Burger Company is a "boutique"-styled sit-down burger restaurant established last year (2022) in an area with few competitors. There just.....aren't many options for fancy burger joints in the suburbs where fast food and hype restaurants reign supreme , so I'll be referencing other boutique burger experiences I've had throughout the years and throughout California, while considering this is a young restaurant that may be finding its feet. The decor is modern and hip. The layout is considerate and thoughtful with fine use of space conveying a well-proportioned sports bar / casual dining atmosphere that's proud to be not only American, but Californian. Industrial steel bell lamps overhang generously-populated wooden table arrangement and a lush, impressive selection of craft beer studies a lacquered, wood bar top with a present yet tasteful distressing. Do I think they could have differentiated the bar seating from the table seating more? Yes. Does it matter? No. Grunge and Alternative beats speak to me from up on high, and I could not be happier with the playlist. It's as though they aped my Spotify selection. What defines a "boutique" burger is an explosion of flavor, layers of complexity, a rich, juicy patty cooked to your specification and a thoughtful presentation that oozes a physical sense of "quality" that mass distribution burgers attempt to market to you but are always destined to fall short. The patty itself should present as a hand-moulded piece. It should be Rich and Thick. It can come with herbs and spices massaged into the cranulations of the meat. You are expecting to Gain Weight. Most boutique-tier burgers I've had are priced at an average of $22 for a menu item that includes the burger and a choice of fries or salad. Craft Burger Company prices their burgers ranging from $11 - $16, with a side of fries, tater tots, and the like fetching an additional $6. Dining here for lunch gets you the side complementary. Outside of the lunch special, you are expecting a boutique burger and fries at a slight discount relative to, say, the best burger houses in the Central Valley. I ordered the Garlic Burger at a modest $13 with a side of tater tots, ordered crispy. I was not given an option for how I wanted the patty cooked. The burger itself was in a presentation class slotting between Above Average and Excellent. They took care to group the grilled onions in the center of an onion ring, which I found cute and tasteful. The garlic-mayo was a ganache-like puck that offered the sensory satisfaction I was looking for, but just barely fell short on butteriness. It should be oozing sensually and alluringly over the patty, and it was not. The patty was a firmly Medium-Well affair, that opted to sacrifice some natural flavor for the flash of a crispy exterior in a culinary neighborhood of sub-par Orange County eateries. I ordered an additional patty by itself just to be sure and demanded it be done Medium-Rare (this is $4 if you wish to do so yourself). What came out was the right amount of bloody, and more or less what I expected. It was tastier, it was juicier, it was delightfully imperfect and had some of the character that was missing and I wish Craft Burger Company had the confidence to offer their patrons upfront the option to choose for themselves. Perhaps they will in the future. The patty, however, was still a little on the slim side. Would I recommend this place? I believe it is a committed-enough establishment to offer their patrons something convincingly different for their money in a sea of local mediocrity. Give it a shot, bring a friend, don't take it too seriously and I'm confident you'll have a great time patronizing a local business with a recipe that offers a hint of greatness. My mom is disabled and they are always so so sweet to her. The servers will stop what they're doing to get the door for her, they make sure a close table is clean, and one server even offered to help her up when she was struggling.
