I know what good service is supposed to look like, so I'll give credit where it's due. The service by Brendan was actually really good friendly, attentive, and everything came out smoothly. I came in expecting to find something to complain about, but unfortunately they made that pretty difficult. The Manager Ken was especially nice and accommodating. He made sure everything was taken care of and was genuinely great to deal with. Only problem I had was with the quirky host with the anime outfit interesting guy. Recently, DGS ate at a different cracker barrel and was blown away by pancakes. I forgot to finish my review! We were there on Saturday, 8/29/26 and it's now 9/3. Oops! I haven't been to any CB for years, and never to this one as it isn't close to home. There was plenty of free parking and although it looked really busy, we were seated right away. Menus given, drink order taken, all within 5 minutes of arrival. The service was friendly and our hot food came out in less than 10 minutes. All tasty, and DGS was delighted by the pancakes. I must say, they were indeed superior to IHOP's. He decided he doesn't like sausage patties but I enjoyed their smoky flavor. The bacon was slightly undercooked for me but standard for restaurant and I didn't specify crispy so that was my bad. I had one kind of sad moment when I realized I should have brought my own pure maple syrup. Theirs is better than some, at 50% maple syrup and 50% "restaurant syrup", which is largely high fructose corn syrup. But still. The only slight hitch was when our server kind of vanished ... and never came back. DGS said he heard someone saying their name near the restrooms when he went, so maybe they were summoned by management, who knows? Regardless, the helpful cashier was able to pull up my order when I told her the server's name and where we sat, so I could pay the check. I'm OK with it costing slightly more for our monthly dates, because the food quality was much better. And I guess it isn't too far to go since it makes DGS so happy! read more

No spoons ever given had to request water. Eggs cold thrown on the plate with the 2 hard bacon thrown on top.Worst breakfast I have ever ordered in any restaurant in my entire life. No milkshakes one ice cream floats. The decorations hanging on the are an attempt to recreate the original Cracker Barrel all the pictures in frames or pretending to old metal pictures and "old plow" came right from factory box probably from China brand new. Guess the old CEO threw everything away but getting her big parachute bonus for ruining Cracker Barrel. The supposed store was not the same just an attempt to push cheap junk. The staff looked rushed and tried to be pleasant management just walking around watching the staff. The restaurant was so noisy and cramped seating arrangements- must have known people are not returning to their restaurants after the rebranding. Table behind jammed right into our chairs you were afraid to move your chair because you would hit the person's chair less 6 inches behind you. Not family friendly at all Tried to push the rewards program I said no Never returning to any Cracker Barrel again!! When your friend calls Saturday morning for a girl time brunch, you drop everything and go. That's exactly what happened on a quick impromptu trip to Annapolis. We had a few spots already on the list, but a pit stop at the mall led us straight to the new Cracker Barrel instead. None of us had been to any location in a while, so the detour felt right. Putting our names on the list was easy, especially with a front porch full of rocking chairs to wait in. The wait was short, and half the party got whisked to the table before I did, traffic held me up, but the ladies kept me posted by phone on the experience and new menu items while the appetizers made their way out. By the time I walked in, the most decadent cinnamon rolls were already on the table, served in a warm skillet. I grabbed a plate right as I sat down. Our waiter showed up not long after with my mimosa, a glass of water, and a few laughs, easy about giving us more time to decide. The menu hasn't changed much since my last visit, but I wasn't looking past my usual favorites anyway. Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast, with smoked sausage, eggs with American cheese, and hashbrown casserole added on. My partners went with Homestyle Chicken, pancakes, and hashbrown casserole swapped in for biscuits. While we waited, we took in the space that was bright, airy, packed with people, but tucked into our booth we never felt overwhelmed. We came for girl talk and got it, laughing, joking, working through some real conversations, and even with the manager and our waiter checking in a few times, we never felt interrupted. Food arrived quickly. The chicken arrived steaming hot and cooked well, which isn't always a guarantee, and the pancakes had just the right crust to make them the real stars of the table. My eggs were a miss, cooked so hard I had to send them back, and the sausage wasn't much better, dry, with a smoky flavor that overpowered everything else. Everyone at the table tried it and agreed. The hashbrown casserole and pancakes honestly could have been the entire meal, and I would have left satisfied. Where's the pictures of the food you might ask? Impromptu girl time comes with NO phones at the table!!! NO EXCEPTIONS We ordered another round of mimosas, and the check came out on a QR code you can pay right from your phone, one catch, you can't split it, so someone eats the rewards points while everyone else Apple Cashes their share. Win Win either way. We boxed up leftovers and made a beeline for the shop, old-time candies and knickknacks that brought back real memories. I used to stop at Cracker Barrel for my grandma, God rest her soul, right before Mother's Day, since she loved their salt and pepper shakers. We finished with a quick photo on the rocking chairs before heading back to the mall for Zara and Lush. Cracker Barrel delivered old favorites, a few new additions, and that mimosa might be one of the best I've had. A random mall pit stop turned into a real memory. Okay here's the rub: I am a lifetime CB stan (Cracker Barrel crew rise up!!!) and so when I heard there was one under construction by my house, I was GAGGED. Now, I've gotten food delivered from this new location in the last couple months since it opened, but seeing as I had an open afternoon, I chose to have a dine-in experience. Strap in -- this review has a lot to talk about. First let's talk decor: I love the OG CB design with the warm lighting, random things on the walls... you know: CHARACTER. The decor of this newer location is screaming "Live, Laugh, Love" by way of AI. It's minimalist brunch eleganza. Like... is this a Cracker Barrel or is this a Bath and Body Works? Sorry if I'm being harsh, but this new aesthetic just isn't it. On to the food... it was pretty good. I had been wanting to try the Shepherds Pie with the hashbrown casserole on top and it was *fine." The pot roast was flavorful and moist and decadent, the mashed potatoes were simple, and the hashbrown casserole topping was certainly crispy -- akin moreso to a chip than the shredded cheesy potatoes I've loved for years. I also sampled the new onion petals and hush puppies. The hush puppies are a yes all day; the onion petals were deep fried and salty, so good by default, but I prefer the coating at Outback to be honest and they felt a little simple, so I won't be ordering these again. The biscuits are GOAT as far as restaurant bread goes and I will be dying on that hill. Today was no exception. On to the service... I don't know if it's because this location is relatively new, but it felt like they haven't ironed out all the jitters. My server, bless her heart, did a great job considering the circumstances, but it did feel a tad understaffed today. As such, I didn't get a refill check or anything during the course of my meal. Not the end of the world, but still a tad unexpected for a company known for their hospitality. Similarly, it seemed like the restaurant in general was behind: overheard something about running out of fresh brewed tea at a neighboring table. All in all, I may not be coming back here on a weekend if this is the experience. Some coworkers and I went in last week for lunch for the first time. Our server was super attentive and kept on top of everything even though our party was rather large. My friend and I could not decide between the original or the grilled tenders so we got one of each and split the tenders. The original tenders were good and came with a choice of three different dipping sauces. The grilled tenders had so much flavor and I would definitely get them again in the future. As sides I had the carrots, dumplins and hash brown casserole. I really enjoyed my meal. I highly recommend this new Cracker Barrel location. read more

Visiting from out of state this weekend, and since this Cracker Barrel was right next to our hotel, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, after this experience, I think a McDonald's and an Egg McMuffin would have been the better choice. For 9:30 on a Saturday morning, the restaurant was fairly quiet. Our experience got off to an odd start when the hostess tried to seat the two of us at a table for six that was literally two steps inside the dining room, right in the entryway where everyone walking in would pass by us. I'm not sure why that table would have been considered appropriate for two people. We asked for a smaller table away from the entrance, and thankfully, she was able to accommodate us. We then sat for more than 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us, while other tables around us were being seated and attended to. There was an employee near the fireplace who appeared to be "keeping an eye on the tables," but she never seemed to notice that we were sitting there without service. The manager was also standing nearby. At that point, I finally approached the manager and asked if we had somehow been seated in a "dead zone," because no one had stopped by our table. Meanwhile, tables that had been seated after us had already received drinks, and some had even received their food. Fortunately, the hostess who had seated us was standing there and was able to confirm that she had seated us. It was then discovered that we had been placed in the section of a new server, who apparently didn't realize we had been seated in her area. I will give our server credit where it's due--she was very friendly and polite. She explained that she simply hadn't known we were in her section. We placed our order, and surprisingly, our food came out very quickly. Of course, bacon and eggs don't exactly take a long time to prepare. The manager later made her rounds, and when I explained what had happened, she seemed genuinely surprised that we had been sitting there without service because the server didn't know we were in her section. I'm not really sure where the breakdown occurred, but regardless of who was ultimately responsible, someone should have noticed. When employees are repeatedly walking through the dining room and a table has been sitting unattended for more than 10 minutes--especially when other tables seated after them are already being served--that should be a red flag. Unfortunately, it also seemed as though some of the staff were spending too much time in the back rather than keeping an eye on the sections they were responsible for. I've been a Cracker Barrel customer for years in North Carolina, and at the locations I've visited, I've often seen servers stand near the kitchen entrance--out of the way, but in a position where they can easily see and monitor their tables. That might be something this location should consider. Our server apparently spoke with the manager, who offered us a complimentary meal card for a future visit. I politely declined and told her that we would not be returning. And I meant it. Even when we're back in Annapolis, we'll eat breakfast at the hotel instead. It's unfortunate because this was supposed to be a convenient breakfast stop while we were visiting from out of state. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. My friend and I arrived last night around 9:30 PM, and although the posted closing time was 10:00 PM, we were told we couldn't be served. From the moment we walked in, the staff gave us uncomfortable looks and seemed to communicate with each other to avoid attending us. I understand that arriving close to closing time can be inconvenient, but as customers, we expected at least a professional and respectful response. The attitude we received felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. Decided to try out this new location for the 2 entrees for $19.99 deal. What an amazing experience! We decided to go with their beignets to start, we got the chicken fingers and 2 fried chicken breasts meals with green beans, fried okra, Mac and cheese, and more frie okra. And it even came with their oh so buttery and flakey buttermilk biscuits that came out nice and warm. The chicken breasts and strips were cooked to perfection!! Moist and juicy with just the right amount of breading. We tried our best to finish everything, but I had to take home half of our food because the portions were just so generous. Our server was super friendly and attentive, too! If you are looking for a great value and a nice relaxing time having excellent food, this is it!! We got there, and were seated immediately. It took no more than a minute or two for a waiter and his trainer to show up (new location). We had our coffee quickly, and it was hot and fresh. By the time the came back, we were ready to order, which we did. The food took a grand total of 3-4 minutes to get. It was fresh, hot and wonderfully tasty! Thru the whole visit there were servers and managers circulating, making sure water glass and coffee mugs, and other drinks were full, and making sure the food was satisfactory. Cracker Barrel has that old timey feel I do love, and I was so glad to see they didn't change when they said they were going to eliminate the guy on their logo, and make it less "redneck". I just love that country atmosphere. I think My buddy Sam and I will be visiting here a lot more often. This review is for takeout weekend fried chicken only: We could not get the online ordering system to work so we phoned the order in. The staff we talked to were most friendly understanding and helpful. The pick up room is great but could use more chairs. (Also a warning that the doors to the ordering window will smack you in the face if you don't stand back) I loved the computer on the wall that let you know the status of your order. Again, the person who helped me at the window was terrific. I am old and easily confused and he was super understanding. The chicken is excellent-even after being in transit for an hour (in an ice bag), it was crispy outside and the meat was juicy. The flavor of the batter was delicious. Sides were good too with the Mac & Cheese being one of the best we've had in this area. Mashed potatoes w/gravy was decent, corn nothing special but ok and the cole slaw could use more dressing. The bisquits won't compete with Julep but, then they are free rather than 10 bucks or so... We are fans! read more

Unfortunately, they obviously had put bacon bits on the salad and, when they saw their mistake, rather than remake the salad, they just scooped out the bits they saw (leaving other pieces of bacon scattered through the salad). Fortunately, I saw one and then found others before I started to eat. Oh, and they omitted the salad dressing (which the carryout slip said was included). In one sense, that didn't matter, since I had to throw out the salad. If you have food sensitivities, religious issues, or allergies, I would avoid this place - they clearly don't care about customer needs and you'll end up paying the price. read more

To Go parking could be put at the side. I would give 5 stars but I have encountered new wait staff each time visiting and unfortunately our orders usually aren't totally correct. I'm hoping that improves with time as this location is still fairly new. We drove 30 mins just to get there and ended up leaving. We waited 1 hour and 20 mins we arrived 7:40 on Sunday night and left at 9 pm and did not get our steaks. Our waiter came to 3 times to let us know they were back up on the fourth timed he said they were out of shrimp. Why did it took them that long to let us know know they were out of shrimp? I firmly believe they did not want to serve us they did this on purpose.We got up and left only an apology was given and biscuits lol. We have eaten at Cracker Barrel for literelly decades all over the country. We live near the new Cracker Barrel in Annapolis. After a day worth of shopping my wife suggested we try the new restaurant. I have never been more disappointed in my life! We ordered the Thursday special, "The Smokehouse Grilled Chicken." It is advertised as "one juicy grilled chicken breast seasoned with our smoky Southern-style with seasoning, bla, bla,bla." Sadly I should have taken a picture of it, but just labored though eating it. Jiucy it was not. It was 3/16 of an inch thick. Clearly it was only a chicken slice. Further, we were served rolls and corn muffins. The rolls were fine, the corn muffin was so hard I could, and did bang it on the table. I told the server it was a hard as a rock. Her response was they were trying to get rid of them so more fresh ones could be made. That is a good way to get rid of customers. We shall not return. read more

We didn't get all our food but didn't ask for it because it was already slow. Pancakes were great. We were a fairly large party and were accomodated with no problem. Our server, "Lady", was truly exceptional, handling everything, and requests for seperate checks, with efficiency and grace. She checked on us often enough to feel well tended to, but not so much as to feel intruded upon. Our food arrived correctly, hot, and plentiful, and everyone in the party said they enjoyed the experience. Our food was exactly what we each expected; tasty and satidfying. They haven't been open for very long so I'll cut them a little slack but the issues I had are just common sense and management 101. It's smaller than other Cracker Barrels so waiting 30 minutes to be seated wasn't a big deal. After being seated our waiter came by fairly quickly and did the usual drink order and biscuits and cornbread (cornbread was stale and inedible ). After 20 minutes we were told our order was missing from their system and they were starting it over. A little irritating but the waiter was very apologetic. He stopped by a few more times over the next ten minutes to say the food was almost done. Then a different person appears at our table to inform us they had just started cooking our food and it would be another 15-16 minutes. At that point I was done. I asked for the bill for our drinks so we could leave. This is where management failed. If you have a customer who has invested over an hour at your restaurant and all they've been served was a few drinks and stale cornbread, you should comp the $20 for the sake of good will. That didn't happen. And that's fine, I don't have a problem paying for what I received but in a service industry, if your service is poor, you find some way to try to make it up. I might try again in a few months but I'm steering clear for a while. read more

I have fond memories of traveling in the South and visiting different Cracker Barrel restaurants, always with a positive outcome. Oh how I wish I could say the same about the new one in Annapolis. I will state that they have only been open for a week or two so there is time for them to straighten things out but the food was horribly disappointing for four of us and the service inconsistent. I had chicken fried steak which was cooked properly but tasteless. One of us had the trout which was also lacking in seasoning. A third had pancakes which were disappointing. I'll give of it one more try and hope my memories are not just memories but otherwise, hasta la vista. read more

Okay, so I was excited to see a Cracker Barrel open up. I had not been to one for a while because the woke garbage that went on, sign change and all, it I remember I liked going to the restaurant in the past, so I decided to give it a try. The menu was slightly different, but I wanted something basic, so I went for the Pot Roast. The food came out quick enough, but the flavor tasted no better than those precooked meals you get at the grocery store that you put in a microwave. For all I know that's how they did this meal. It was not bad and not good either, very average. When ordering my meal I asked for a Coke Zero, and the waiter asked if I wanted bisket's, which I thought were standard, but I said yes. They came out, and they tasted like they were frozen and reheated. The crumbled, not fresh at all. I think they don't make them fresh anymore, or at least these were bad. The other 3 biskets were partially there, it looks like they maybe stuck to the whatever in back because they were just the top side of the bisket. They were crumbling. I ate 1.5 and just decided to stop, they were below avg to bad. I asked for soda and water, only the soda came out. I asked what the soup of the day was, and he said chicken noodle and chili, but he wasn't sure. I called him to check, and he said he would but never came back. He also said, I don't think you should be charged for soup, so if you had to choose between chili and chicken noodle which would you want, I said chicken noodle, he said he was going to get me a cup, but never did, which is fine because I wasn't charged for it, also, giving away food for free because he didn't think it was right to charge me seemed dishonest, and I actually didn't know how to answer such a question. When the server (different person) came out and asked if I needed anything, I asked for the waiter, she said okay, and he never came. At the very end I pointed out the crumbled Bosleys and he asked if I wanted some fresh ones to go, I said yes, and he asked about a refill of the soda, I said, sure, to go. He said okay. I waited for like 10 minutes and he never came back so I left. The waiter was friendly, but never followed through and forgot what I asked for and was not available when I asked for him. The inside was painted ( new style) which I don't like. I liked to old style with the wood. This was a new restaurant, so the woke idiots must still have some sway. Anyway, I'll probably go back, but maybe not for a while. Perhaps they are still breaking things in. But if they keep this up, they may close. Poor service will chase people away, they need to fix it. I'd also say, check your staff and make sure they are not giving away food for free, or promising it. I'm not sure if that was a ploy for a larger tip, but it's not ethical. I noticed this was averaging 3 stars, I understand why. read more

Dinner last night with my son. Portions were large. Food was good, although I had to send back the meatloaf part of the combo because it was actually cold. Our waiter was very apologetic. Do yourself a favor and order the cheese curds appetizer. The main reason I'm writing is because our waiter, MANUEL C., was fantastic! You just can't train someone to be nice AND efficient. Lifetime Cracker Barrel lover but my experience in Annapolis was not good. I was a solo diner. After I had eaten less than a third of my meal, I got up to use the restroom and when I came back my table had been cleared. There was a lot of food left so it should not have been cleared and I was not gone long. I told servers who looked embarrassed and giggled but no one got a manager. Finally I got the manager who apologized and brought me a replacement meal. But no silverware or napkin. So I asked the waitress for silverware and a napkin and she came back with only silverware and disappeared around the corner so I asked another waitress for a napkin. No one ever offered to refill my drink or asked me how my food was. I asked the waitress for my bill half expected to be comped at least partially for the mixup but no I was not. Tried to pay with a QR code but the Wi-Fi was not working properly. Went to the cashier and she was busy joking around with somebody off to the side behind a wall I couldn't see something about wearing a crown just laughing and joking barely paying attention to me tried to upsell me chocolate sticks twice. Also called me "hon" and "love" which I'm sure she does not call younger people and is not appreciated. Ma'am is just fine if you must call me something. I won't be back. read more

Seated right away, takes awhile to find a server. But the servers are really sweet. Tried the Pick two meal for breakfast, the Momma's pancake breakfast with coffees. Really cold in the dining area with the ceiling fans blowing. Bring a coat and a hat. Biscuits were lukewarm, butter frozen. Skip them, they taste horrible. Pancakes were good but lukewarm. Eggs were also cold. Not the Cracker Barrel that it used to be, probably won't return to this one at least. read more

I don't think they are ready for prime time yet. While you are greeted like a long lost friend, we found the servers to be slow and confused, both times that we tried it since their opening. Food came out slowly, in various stages of cooked and burned, or not at all. Coffee was taken away to be reheated and never returned. After going through this excruciating process twice, we decided to hold off before give back, and give them a chance to get their sea legs. read more

My boyfriend and I love Cracker Barrel and live right by this one. We finally got a chance to go and it was terrible; we will never be going back there. None of the food was good it came out wrong twice and my boyfriend's meal came with biscuits and gravy and the waitress insisted that was an add on when the menu clearly says served with biscuits and gravy. She never refilled our drinks until my boyfriend tracked her down and insisted on it. Then we were going to get dessert but in the middle of us eating the waitress brought the receipt left it and we never saw her again. We would have 100% spent more money if we weren't rushed out. Then after this terrible dinning experience we were trying to pay the bill and their whole system crashed and we had to wait about 5-10 minutes for this to be fixed while we were already irritated from the food and service that we were mad we had to wait so long to get out of the awful place. The only reason I'm writing this review is that Corporate needs to fire the management bozo that decided that this building was big enough to be a CRACKER BARREL in ANNAPOLIS!‍ We were told the wait on a Sunday would be 1:10 minutes, we've been scrunched up in the corner of the store for over an hour and told 30 minutes more. No benches, no place to stand, and the "aisles" are single file with people standing in them. The smallest Cracker Barrel I've ever been to in the worst experience. read more

Food was terrible, he ordered lunch catfish, turnips , coleslaw, hush puppies , fish would of been good if not left under warmer, turnips.. terribly seasoned, over salted & low end food service product as well as coleslaw .. too much vinegar & to mask low end food service ingredients.
