Great smash burger - usually get the spicy bacon jam and my husband gets the dirty girl (basically the dirty burger on top a salad). Every burger comes with a starter - usually two options that changes depends on what's in season but haven't had a bad one yet. Last week had an elote potato salad. Staff is super sweet and accommodating - didn't try it but the family next to us had a kid in their party and they made them a grilled cheese with bacon jam since they didn't want a burger. First you need to understand this is a food place at a golf course so seating is limited. Second you need to respect the chefs. There are no to go orders for a very good reason. If you worked that hard to make something that yummy you don't want it to sit in a container for god knows how long and get all soggy and not as good as when the man made it. So come and enjoy a burger for a minute it's so good it won't take you that long to eat cause it's really good. Respect the magical process and trust your chef. I had the Dirty burger and it was perfect. Very juicy nice bread no need for ketchup or anything. The chocolate chip cookies are soft and delicious. It's honestly a very good burger. This review is based on the fact that I have tried 2 times to eat here only to be told no. I visited on Sunday. The first time. There was a table of people and I wanted to walk in, but he said sorry I am closed. Okay, next Sunday. Sitting at the course, called and asked this time. He said " I don't take phone orders, I don't do to go orders and I am closed for a private event". Hmmmm, as I see people walking in. Note to person on the phone...why bother? So, no burger, no problem. I heard it was good and I was able to try a bite from a friend who ordered a burger a few weeks before. The place seemed SUPER UNFRIENDLY. I WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER EAT THERE. AND I AM SURE THE OWNER IS HAPPY. THE VIBE WAS DEF NOT FOR ALL. Unfortunately some people have been entitled for too long. One of the best burgers you will ever have. The white chicken chillinside or potatoe salad is also exceptional. If the owner isn't working, then Inwould turn around and leave. I had a burger made from one of his workers when he left early, and they screwed up grinding the meat. It came out with littlenpoeces of hard grizzle that almos chipped my teeth. Maybe some people don't understand this and the owner refuses to sell a burger that you take home that's not going to be great so he doesn't want that. The burgers are good and made on the spot. It is dog friendly. You can get sodas and water at Crack. The rootbeer is served in a chilled frozen glass. You can get beer and hard seltzer at the golf course cashier. The customer service needs work. We would go back to bring friends. We got the hatch Chile burger and I got the bacon jam burger with tomato and lettuce. We both got a corn asparagus salad that was crisp and refreshing. I previously avoided reviewing this place because I didn't want to deal with the low intelligence bully of an Owner. See his previous replies to bad reviews for examples. Ask yourself; do you really want to deal with that to get a burger? But, standing by and doing nothing won't help this situation, so here is the review: I went there and ordered two burgers, sides, which was some soup, and drinks. When my wife ordered a bacon jamb burger with no sauce, he made some crude joke about "how could I be with someone that likes dry bj's". While this was incredibly out of line, I don't get hurt feelings over ignorant words, so we both just kind of ignored it. He then couldn't read the room and repeated the statement a few times louder as if we didn't hear him the first time. He even shouted about it to another table of seemingly regulars nearby. He then proceeded to banter with that table for quite a while before I asked about our food, at which point he had his employee start making it. Eventually we got our burgers, but, not the soup or beverages. The burger was pretty good, but, there's far better in Long Beach. We ate quickly, since we had already had to be there quite a while, and then went to pay and leave. At this point the Owner realized we didn't get the soup or drinks. It was weird he just realized, since I had already asked about it and was rudely told to stop worrying and let them handle everything. He offered a dollar off each meal, which didn't really feel like fair compensation, but, at that point we just wanted out of this place. When paying I told the Owner to keep the change, which was only $2; far more than was deserved for what was received. The Owner made some comment about how it was a bad tip, but, then asked that we come back so he can get us soup next time and that would make it all better. I would never come back to this place though. The burgers could be 10 times better and I still wouldn't come back to deal with this guy. What an absolute nightmare of a business Owner; I feel really bad for anyone that has to spend significant time around this guy. This Owner can reply all he likes or message me or whatever bully tactics he's tried with others on here; I will never reply to him, I will never come back to this business. read more

Lives up to its name!!! I was already thinking about ordering my second burger before I finished half of my first. Truly The best burger I have had in I don't know how long! I ordered the dirty burger with the lettuce and tomato. Juicy, incredibly spiced, and the bacon jam just took the whole thing over the top. Service was great, I felt like I was in my friends backyard as Dave stood by the grill, talking to me while cooking up the burgers. I also had an amazing craft brewed root beer. Definitely one of the top 10 root beers I've had across the country. We ate on the back porch overlooking the golf course, and quickly became friends with all the other patrons. Best smash burgers in town! I had the bacon jam burger, while my friend had the Ortega burger. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the flavors all came together in perfect harmony. Recently, my friends and I went to @heavyhanded.la for some delicious ass burgers but they both said they preferred CRACK! So my other friend and I went to give it a try and it blew my mind. This place is so underrated and this burger might be one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It is located in a golf course and doesn't look very promising... but trust me it is worth a visit! We both got the bacon jam burger with pineapple coleslaw. The bacon jam added the perfect amount of sweetness to the burger, the buns were so buttery and toasted so nicely. The burger patty was also delicious, all the other components on the burger just went together so well. It was just so well balanced and insanely flavorful. In comparison to @heavyhanded.la , I prefer crack, but heavy handed's patty has a nicer crisp and higher quality of meat. The potato buns on the heavy handed burger were just insanely delicious and buttery. But overall, the bacon jam on Crack's burger truly WOWed me and I will be going back to try their other burgers as well. I CRACK !!! My family and I went to Crack for Father's Day dinner and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by David, who said we had "the most complicated order he had ever heard." The highlight of the order was my brother who ordered two burgers: just the patty, no bun, no toppings. David responded to this order by asking if my brother was a dog and wanted the two patties served in a bowl with a side bowl of water. But we're so glad we gave this place a shot because Dave made the best burgers we've ever had.
