Seasonal steak and succotash, steak sandwich, sea bass

Fresh and flavorful!! Our server who sadly didn't tell us his name was absolutely fantastic!! Super friendly and very attentive!! Now let's get down to the food!! All the flavors were delectable!! Compliments to the chef.. Couple all of the above with a fun heated enclosed patio and I was sold!! Great ambiance when dining inside as well!! Choosing here to eat you truly can't go wrong!!!

Did a quick lunch date with the husband and literally ordered the happy hour wings and a crème brûlée. 10/10. Worth every penny. We've done dinner here and that has never disappointed either. Service is great. Ambiance is semi casual.

As much as I love Coyne's happy hour, especially the curry lettuce wraps, dinner was just average. I liked the clever name of my mocktail more than the drink itself--"Where did my mango." Husband's garlic tenderloin didn't have the garlic flavor he expected. My pesto sandwich was tasty, but upgraded Caesar salad had very stale croutons (matching the rock hard rolls). Our meal picked up a bit with huckleberry cheesecake, though crust was soggy. Net/net: as I look at my photos, I am struck by the fact that everything looks really good, but the taste falls short.

My husband and I came here for a date at lunchtime. We enjoyed the fancy environment and soft playing music. Very nice atmosphere for family and friends to gather. Our server was nice and he was attentive as well. All our food was a solid 4/5 Stars across the board. We enjoyed our date and time together. Thanks Coyne's!

This restaurant is a tucked away but such a gem! Great ambiance. We sat in patio area and had heating which made it comfy. Got the roasted chicken and got quite a big piece! The chicken was juicy and flavorful and yummy mashed potatoes. My friend bought a birthday cake and they were nice to allow it. Would definitely come back.

We hit up Coyne's for my sister's and cousin's birthday tonight. They were the only ones that can cater 18 people on a Sunday. That sounds perfect to me! The last time I was at Coyne's, the food and service was great. My husband and I showed up a little late. We had to finish our Niners game! Our party was sat towards the back. I appreciate that they had a nice amount of tables set up for us! Nothing like being crammed with a big group. We had plenty of space and arm room. Fresh rolls were placed on each end of the table for us! Of course they were being devoured. The rolls were crusty on the outside and soft in the middle. And watch out Texas Roadhouse, the butter here was mind blowing! It was sweet and creamy. The bread was the perfect vessel for that butter! All I want is that butter with 1 roll please! After we all got settled, orders were taken. All I wanted was the gumbo cause it was so good the last time I had it! My husband wanted the fish and chips for dinner. I also snagged a side of sweet potato fries. I'm a sucker for sweet potatoes! Food came out in spurts. It's to be expected with such a large group. My gumbo game out in a huge bowl. My husband's fish and chips looked killer! I was kinda jealous I didn't order the same thing as him. My side of fries came out shortly after everything a dropped off. My gumbo was delicious! It was savory and rich. There was a slight heat that added a nice kick. My waffle fries were crispy and tasty! I love love love the sweetness of the sweet potato and the saltiness of the fry sauce, so good! The fry sauce did have a punch to it, I like it! Now, the fish and chips! It looked killer on my husband's plate but tasting it..... wow! The batter they used on the fish was light and airy. The fish was thick and fresh. The batter was fried perfectly and had a perfect crunch. You add lemon juice and the tarter sauce, out of this world. I made my husband share and he was only willing to share two small bites. I don't blame him, it was fantastic! Our friend ordered the churro waffle for dessert. Can we give the chef who created this masterpiece a good medal? This creation was one of the best desserts I have ever had! It's crispy, sweet, chocolatey, warm. And you get a huge scoop of ice cream on top of this heavenly dessert. I'm salivating just thinking about it! You must get this dessert if you come here! I'm so happy we got to celebrate my family's birthday here. The food was great! Dessert was killer! The venue is stunning. We all had such a fabulous time here. I'm looking forward to coming back for that churro waffle! Even if i come by myself.

My family found Coynes a couple years ago and we've been going consistently ever since. It's the sister restaurant to Bardenay, and I'd argue Coynes feels like the elevated version. Service has always been very good. The bar turns out unique, well-crafted drinks, and the wine list is solid. The space is comfortable inside, and the patio is a big plus -- fully covered, enclosed, and heated in winter so you can use it year-round. The food is where Coynes really shines. The kitchen is consistent, and the menu shifts just enough over time to keep things fresh with new and interesting options. Overall, this is a go-to spot in Eagle for a great meal, excellent drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We went for happy hour and it was our first time trying Coyne's! We were happy with everything! The food was all amazing, the server was phenomenal and made great suggestions, and the price was great! I got to try all of the drinks and all of the food and I liked every single one of them! The restaurant itself looks high end and and is enjoyable. Not too loud, not too quiet.

Chilean Seabass with pesto
Joe M.

Tried this restaurant for the first time while visiting the Eagle area and really enjoyed everything we had! My wife ordered the Chilean seabass with pesto--absolutely delicious. I went with the ribeye served with mashed potatoes and broccolini. The steak was cooked a bit more than I asked for, but still flavorful and satisfying. Service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is clean and modern. I had hoped to try the chicken gumbo appetizer, but the kitchen was out that evening. For dessert, we shared the churro waffle--definitely on the sweet side, but a fun and tasty way to end the meal. Overall, a great first experience. We'll definitely be back!

I was in town for work so I stopped by here for a second time. Service was attentive and friendly, good was delicious and it wasn't too crowded either.

Service was good. Food was great. The crème brûlée was delicious. A lot of open tables but we got seated in a chilly one near the patio door. Probably bc it was my HS daughter and I . That was the only bummer. Seating could have been a bit more thoughtful. We ate quick, tipped well & out within an hour.

Coyne's has been on my must try list for quite a while. Finally for my daughter's graduation, we decided to book a reservation for a small dinner party. We had high hopes and generally were happy with the visit. The ambience was perfect. It's definitely a little fancier, but still casual enough for regular dining. Making a reservation was very easy to do online, but because our party was bigger than six I needed to call in this reservation. That was also a very easy process. I really like that they confirm the reservation via text. Upon arrival we were seated immediately although we were about 10 minutes early. Our table for seven just had a chair added to the end of a six person table. It would've been nicer to have an eight person table then to squeeze the seventh person on the end, but we made it work. Now onto the food...We ordered -the sea bass - I did not try it, but it got high reviews from my father-in-law -fish and chips - my son liked it, but left all the fries -Wagyu taco salad - this was my order and it was blah... The salad and dressing was nothing to rave about and the Wagyu beef was the best thing about it. -scallops and a side of mashed potatoes - the scallops were fabulous and the corn cakes that they sat upon were yummy but the mashed potatoes were dry and tasteless. - chicken dinner - the chicken was cooked to perfection but the sides were just blah. - pesto chicken sandwich - not much to it, my 12-year-old didn't even eat ate half and tried to give away the rest. It was pretty bland. -falafel sandwich- this was pretty good and the sauce that they served it with it was tasty. Overall, we were happy with the celebratory meal as the consensus of the group was that the food was good. As the main decider of where I will take guests for dining, I don't know if I would be back. It seems like the fish meals were the best out of everything we ordered. This may be a place I would go for a date night or a girls lunch, but not a celebratory meal.

Theresa S.

Staying at the hotel close by we ordered to go. Ordering from the bar, surprisingly there were many locals enjoying HH. The pictures are the halibut fish and chips. More fish than breading. Amazing dill tartar. Gumbo was delicious as well (not pictured) Aaannnnnddddd the wagyu risotto was fabulous!!!

Ambiance is kind of like a dive bar. Food was not the best and a bit overpriced. I tried the beef barbacoa tacos and pulled pork sandwich. I always judge a bar by how they make the traditional drinks like Old Fashioned, mojitos, and Long Island ice tea to name a few. It was bad. Not sure how they got it bad. Too much bitters? Cheap alcohol? I don't know. The "highlight" of my night was an interaction with the bartender lady. After all the eating, my friends and I stuck around outside to chat. I decided to go back in to grab a beer. The Yakima Blend IPA caught my attention so I asked for that. I pay $13 for it. Bartender gives me my cash change. I leave a $5 bill as tip (on a $13 beer!). And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! They really lean into the whole "bringing California brunch culture to Idaho" thing, so maybe my expectations were too high going in. But honestly... this was a pretty rough experience for me. I ordered the huevos rancheros because what feels more California brunch than that? When my plate came out, it looked weirdly plain and honestly kind of sad. Then my friend's huevos rancheros arrived and hers had all the toppings, sauces, avocado, etc. So apparently mine was missing half the dish. When I politely asked about it, I got a surprisingly snarky response that immediately made the whole thing uncomfortable. I really don't think I was rude about it at all. But the part that genuinely grossed me out was the mimosa tower situation. Two of the four glasses at our table literally had lipstick stains on them, and the others were cloudy/smudgy enough that we noticed immediately. That's the kind of thing you can't unsee once it's sitting at your table. I honestly don't really understand the hype because this place is constantly packed. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but between the mediocre food, awkward service interaction, and dirty glassware, I don't think I'll be back. I'd personally rather wait for a table at The Griddle or have a calmer breakfast at Rembrandt's instead.
