We came here last Sunday for brunch and had a great experience. We made reservations which I would highly recommend because last weekend this place was packed on Sunday afternoon. We were sat outside on their very spacious patio and loved the outdoor vibe of the area. The food was absolutely fantastic and everyone loved what they decided on. My breakfast chimichanga was absolutely delicious! Stuffed full scrambled eggs, spicy black beans, chorizo, pepperjack cheese and hash browns rolled in a flour tortilla, flash-fried and finished with sour cream, green onions and pickled jalapenos - sauced with salsa verde. This spin of a typical dinner item was absolutely fantastic. Plus what made this all that more special was the 5 star service and we all left knowing we will be back for sure. read more

This place is incredible. Love coming here for brunch (I swear by the Bourbon Caramel French toast) and they have a killer happy hour. Everyone always provides stellar service and it's noticeable how well everyone works together. If you're looking for a relaxing nighttime ambiance definitely check out their beautiful patio setup. Truly one of the best spots in Eagle. As far as the drinks go, I've always been impressed not only with the creativity but the freshness of flavors. Will be back! read more

Food was delicious. Service excellent. Cocktails were nice. The environment was loud so depending on your preferences that may be fine...

Hot damn! Gorgeous interior, server was bright, friendly, and on point! Extra points for no side-eye cause we just drink water. This is upper end dining, drinks and wine. We arrived in the tiny window between lunch and dinner. Order happy hour apps. Flautas - excellent, I could've eaten that sauce with a spoon! Lettuce wraps - excellent, tiny bit of spice on the crunchy noodles. Brisket tacos - excellent, a real meal. Those had quite the bite according to the hubs. I personally do NOT do spicy. Would definitely return. read more

We tipped generously as we paid the bill because while the food may have been poor and the service processes may have been constipated the individual server deserved a 30% gratuity for her genuine care about the lousy dining experience when she apologized and offered to reduce the bill (we declined her offer but nice of her to do) then asked for and listened to (in an interactive way of Q&A dialogue) to constructive feedback. We said we were surprised to have her reach out to ask as we didn't offer our criticisms but we also didn't finish the food and she observed it seemed we had not enjoyed it. No, we did not. She said, "I want to share with the kitchen so they can learn from this.". She said she hoped we would come back and give Coyne's another try because, "We CAN do better." We won't rush back but we will go back sometime because of the server's guest recovery, as it's known in the business, efforts. Brava to her! She worked like she owned the business and that diner satisfaction was her highest priority. I mean both of those observations as high praise. And she used the word "WE" in describing how the restaurant could do better. She did not use "THEY" to throw the kitchen under the bus. (Although, it was mediocrity there at root of the poor meal.) I worked in this industry a long time ago and were I still doing that I'd hire this young woman and use her as team building training model. If I owned a local restaurant I would "poach" her and pay her a hiring bonus. FOOD ISSUES: As for the food, nope, not a single thing to emulate. Then again, this 2020 opened eatery (owned by the same people as Bardenay) has had something of a revolving door of Chef in its' year plus of existence and it might even be as I share about our six'ish weeks old experience that things with food have improved even now. Staff instability in kitchens is a big quality problem and a poor chef the biggest problem. The low end of mediocre food and long delays from kitchen need attention and a good chef should be able to do that and and train staff. Not to mention fix things like starter items with Denny's league errors that should never have made it past the kitchen quality check. PROCESS SNAFU: But so does the process of using runners to deliver food resulting in the wrong items delivered when the kitchen fills the main dish order incorrectly need attention. The runner ought to catch it if they're filling in for server. Then in everything thing being connected in poor process, it should not take a very long time for kitchen to produce the right replacement dish which looks nothing like described on menu when it reaches the table. Given experienced restaurant ownership the process problems here are puzzling. NEW BUILDING / FAMILIAR MENU / HIGH SIDE PRICE: Yet the new building with a sort of "Bardenay meets Country Club set" interior (well tended for being spotless) with big patio (where we would have sat were it not a 100 degree scorcher day) and early Happy Hour specials (for those of us like us who sometimes do HH as dinner) and a familiar food menu (example; burgers, tacos, sandwiches, salads, rotisserie chicken, salmon, shellfish, steak...) seem to have made this popular with locals even at these price points ($8-$16 starters and salads, $14 - $19 burgers and sandwiches, $17 - $48 mains). So we may be the minority but we expect better quality at these price points. Different strokes... LIBATIONS: Full bar. LOCATION: Convenient location accessible off of State Street or Eagle Road and just across the parking lot of the relatively newly built Homewood Suites in Eagle. (My husband has a theory that restaurants sharing lots with chain hotels are typically marginal for food and he observed our experience here supported his view.) ACCESSIBILITY: ADA parking in lot. All on one level. Standard height tables in dining room and on patio. But for a restaurant opened in 2020, 30 years post ADA as law of the land, it is unacceptable that they fail ADA compliance for seating in the bar. All bar seating is high perch tables and the ADA requires IF seating is provided in bar space THEN some seating in in the bar space must be accessible height, AKA standard table height or else it segregates out disabled people from equal access to participate there with others. There were four disabled persons (walkers, crutches, cane) on the evening we were there dining with groups of able bodied others. None of us could use the bar because of the lack of accessible seating. read more

Service was the highlight of this spot. Appetizers were a close second. Had the ahi tuna napoleon. Came piled high with top quality ahi tuna, cucumber, avocado and pineapple. Also tried the guacamole, which was great. Came with potato crisps, which were crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Main course was a big disappointment. Beef tenderloin was small and very tough. Broccoli that came with it was charted to the point of it being not edible. Pretty sad Huckleberry cheesecake was decent for dessert read more

Coyne's Restaurant & Bar - Fish and chips, minus chips and salad instead. - Seafood Near Me - Eagle, Idaho

Service was decent and good was ok but not exceptional or noteworthy enough to return. Husband got the fried chicken Benedict and I got the salmon Benedict. Both were fine but not worth coming from Boise to Eagle to dine for. Coyne is supposed to be an upscale version of Bardenay but I've had better breakfast dishes at the Bardenay downtown Boise and off Eagle Rd. It took well over 30 minutes for the food to come out after our order. read more

This restaurant was recommended to me by a local realtor after looking at some properties in the area. She has become my favorite friend in Idaho! No joke. The establishment is elegant and professional. I could see many business meetings here in my future. The service was top notch and the food was delectable. We started with the guacamole which is served with scoop style potato fries. This was a first for me and quite delicious. We also ordered the sweet potato fries because, well... I wanted to try some of my go-to sides to order. I've found that if they can get the simple things right, we're off to a promising experience. I was right! The starters were tasty and so my hope was growing. For our entrees we ordered the shrimp tacos and chicken flautas. Both were mouthwatering! The shrimp were plump, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. I was impressed with the amount of shrimp in each taco and how perfectly cooked they were. The flautas were great as well. The sauce for dipping was the best! We are looking forward to making this one of our regular eateries in Idaho. The menu looks appetizing! read more

Love the food go all the time, but the service from our waiter was insulting, beyond everything, had to find him to take our order, he said our fish tacos were fish they were not he lied, then we had to get some one to find him to bring our check, when we tipped him ten percent he was rude and asked us why we tipped only 10% we started to say he never came to out table to see if we needed or wanted anything. He became very rude upset all 3 of us ladies and said to the other ladies heliked us but not the person who tipped the 10%. We will not come back thanks to mr. D the waiter, it ruined our plans for the rest of our evening we were so angry with our treat.ent there. read more

I recently visited Coyne's for an early dinner. I relied on Krysti K for recommendations throughout my meal and she did not disappoint. Her suggestions were spot on! I started with the seasonal cocktail I Would Rum 5000 Miles and the Lobster Fritters. My plan was to sample 2-3 fritters as an appetizer, but I cleaned the plate. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut was absolutely delicious and it's easy to see why it's a customer favorite. The Huckleberry Cheesecake was a lovely way to end the meal. Krysti enhanced my experience by providing great service. Coyne's has a contemporary vibe and while I sat inside the large patio was clearly a popular spot. All in all it was a memorable meal that I would happily order again - it was really that good! Kudos to all! read more

Stopped by yesterday at Coyne's in Eagle. It is right next to the new Homewood Suites hotel that is still under construction. The patio was a great place to enjoy their Happy Hour that is 2-5 pm daily. One of the photos I posted has the food menu and the drinks are BOGO. Included in the photos is a shot of the bill so you can see the value. The brisket taco plate was the star of the show. We would order two or more of those on any return visit. Lovely smoked brisket, fresh avocado and the cotija cheese really sets it apart from the Happy Hour taco options at other Treasure Valley places. We loved the tap beer choices and indulged in Stella Artois, Guinness and Schilling Cider. Service from Clara was impeccable and the cleanliness & spacing made us comfortable with all the BS about COVID. The Ahi Nachos were quite interesting. Nice cubes of fresh ahi siting on triangular wontons. The Tobiko (flying fish roe) was a great touch. It is a little challenging to eat neatly, but the flavors were terrific. Nice departure from sushi and sashimi which seem to be on a lot of HH menus. We could not recommend the Curry Lettuce wraps. Curried chicken was nice, the butter lettuce was better than the hearts of Romaine that typically accompany wraps. The addition of sriracha is a mistake. Its flavor fights with the curry and the two don't merge well together. Too much spice and going in opposite directions. We can eat really hot foods like Thai Chili and habaneros, but this was just unbalanced spice. It did not complement the butter lettuce, just overpowered it. This experiment leaves us wanting to go back, soon, to try the other items on the HH menu. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. Just left brunch there and out of our 4 top party, all plates were less than warm bordering cold, and one breakfast came with a large gray hair in her food. Let's be real, that spoiled her appetite. We brought it to the waitresses attention and she replaced the food (without being asked), but unfortunately what was done was done and we were charged for her uneaten plate. To top it off, the table next to us was allowed to have a large snake wrapped around the patrons neck. To the point that he is giving the snake water from his glass. Disappointing and felt extremely unsanitary. Will not be back and urge any to rethink eating there. read more

I'm a fan of Coyne's! I have only been here twice but we are 2/2 and it's a place I want to keep returning to! The first time I came for lunch and had the brisket sandwich. Brisket sandwich was delicious! I devoured the whole thing. Second time we can on a Sunday and it was still brunch. I was kind of bummed out the brunch menu goes so late - until 3pm and I wasn't a big fan of the options but I went with the burger and my husband had the chicken sandwich. We also enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails. I had 2 here and now drinks and my husband tried 2 different whiskey drinks. Delicious! The burger was bomb as was the chicken sandwich. The story: Went for dinner then the next day for brunch because we had such a fabulous time. It was my fiancés birthday and they allowed me to place flowers at the table ahead of time without question. The players: Angel lived up to her name at brunch. Spot on recommendations with a side of flawless menu knowledge. The gentleman the night before was tall, quirky, and an absolute gem. He was enthusiastic and left the table spotless. As a former restaurant opening manager for 5 years--I was blown away. The main course: The Peruvian chicken was a touch dry but the seasoning was on point and portion size was large. The sauce that came with it made my head spin. The potatoes are Idaho boy approved with a beautiful texture gushing with large tater chunks with creamy butter delight. The green beans were cooked to perfection. Brunch--holy shit--blueberry avocado toast with the most. Chimichanga made me go bonkers. Flavors were forming and flipping and flying and fulfilling this famished families' restless hunger. The recommendation: Go here for great service, unique menu items done well, and a charming ambiance in the Eagle Idaho area. Well done Coyne's, well done. read more

We really enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was bustling with people and our server was spectacular. The bread rolls were fresh and the accompanying the butter was delicious. We also had the Flautas Poblano and those were delectable. The right blend of crunch and delicate flour tortilla with a savory sauce. The Peruvian chicken was EVERYTHING. Absolutely delicious - they run out though so be sure to get there in good timing. We also had the Coconut Ginger pasta with chicken - it was ok. There was a bit of a snafu with the dish, but they fixed it and brought a fresh serving out quickly. read more

Food is always great. Service today was not. Server spilled my wine on me and my daughter. Did bring another glass, but should have been compensated for that. My husband had ice tea that was warm. Wife and I had dinner here. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Great atmosphere for dinner and conversation. Drinks were make with care, tasted great, but little pricey for the size. Waitress staff worked together well, and remembered requests. Menu has lots of great choices. I would recommend the fish tacos for appetizers, either the Rib Ragu, Glazed Pork Chop, or the 14oz Rib-eye. Now dessert was a toss up and we decided on the Churro Waffle with Ice Cream. Price was expected. We will try again. read more

Unfortunately had a real off experience tonight... I reported on Resy but hadn't heard bk fr mgr, so decided I unfortunately need to update my review... after multi fantastic meals with big & small groups, solo, all on their fab patio... in all types of weather... tonight's melon drink was ick (flavorless) my guests salad was drenched so badly in dressing that he chose not to eat most of it nor take hm, my spasta was ok, but the worst was the untoasted "crustini" app... we had requested 1/2 or all on gf bread... came out very sloppy on untoasted gf buns... the olives were oddly flavorless & dumped arbitrarily on... w/a slice of mushroom included? & raw cherry tomatoes (vs tomato slices, making eating the app ridiculously hard to eat...), minimal greens & small flavorless dollop of again flavorless cheese... now I'm a trooper & my guest was gracious & waitress was ok... but I was so embarrassed as I'd raved about this restaurant ... & I had to call attention to my water multi times (& I'm a slow drinker!) & had to ask for the check... I'm just u sure if I'm willing to go back... thankfully I didn't notice others complaining, so hopefully it was just our prep chef or something? read more

The staff, the atmosphere and the food were all top notch. We loved this beautiful restaurant! 10 out of 10.

Living in Eagle we are happy to have more dinning options than 10 years ago. Coynes is on our rotation (along with Crave, Bacquet's, Davinci's, Bardenay, Rembrants, Stuffed Olive, and new comer Spitfire). Food - My favorites are the fish tacos, chicken flautas with poblano sauce, and the gumbo. My wife enjoys the chicken curry chop salad but I am not a big fan. Angel's bar and grill had the best so I compare it to that one. Steaks are good too. Happy hour - one of the best in Eagle. Ambiance is upscale and the patio is always warm since they have heaters and side protection. Service- usually spot on. Prices- Competitive so no complaints read more

Great service. Great food. I started with the Into the Mountains cocktail which was a perfect mix of sweet and tart. The starter bread was delightful and warm and I loved the honey rosemary butter. For dinner, I had the Citrus Salmon and we shared three desserts - the Crème Brûlée, Vanilla Ice cream with bourbon caramel glaze, and the Bacon Pound Cake. Good prices especially for the sizable portions. The service was quick and the staff was kind. We had a great time. read more

Visited from SoCal and was so happy to have eaten at Coyne's. It reminded me of one of our favorite places back home called Houston's. We started with the guacamole which I thought would include tortilla chips but instead it was served with potato slices that were slightly thick but yet crispy enough to scoop up the guacamole. The amount of cracked salt and pepper on the slices made them extra delicious. We ate there two different times and both times were equally as good. Great service, ambiance, beautiful night setting with a big fireplace out on the covered patio and a beautiful bar. Classy place. Will visit again if we get the chance to travel to Idaho again. read more

The good: great servers and friendly staff. We enjoyed the ambiance and the waterfall. We ordered Two appetizers we were surprised and enjoyed the twist of chips with the avocado dip and the bone marrow was tasty. Two cocktails ordered, voodoo lady was spot on, Into the mountains was pretty good as well. The bad: is out of five dishes ordered only one dish was liked by everyone the steak risotto was very good. Fish and chips, the fish was overly fried not moist the fries were good. The scallops, well okay the tamale cakes/corn fritter? disappointing, this doesn't go with the dish. The Peruvian chicken not what we expected, the mashed potatoes tasted like butter, the broccolini was soggy, not crispy and butter drowned. The steak was good, the mashed potatoes were heavy on butter, and the broccolini, soggy and too much butter. A hefty charge for food that was sub par. We all wanted to like you Coynes, we are disappointed! read more

Coyne's has some fabulous and inventive dishes. I had the Fig & Truffle Burger for lunch (8 oz. Then I went back for happy hour and had the brisket tacos and Basil Ruth. Great prices and perfect for the hot summer weather. Seating on the patio is completely shaded. On a recent stay in Eagle we ate here twice. First night we got take out of Beet salad, fig and truffle burger, chicken avocado club. Our sides were sweet potato waffle fries and chicken gumbo. The burger and sandwich were just OK but the fries and beet salad excellent. The next night we had reservations for dinner. Be aware there is no social distancing of tables in this place and it was packed. The staff all wore masks. In our party of three we had Charcuterie Board appetizer, Halibut, Scallops, and Jerk Chicken. Everyone was very pleased with their main course. The charcuterie board was not impressive at all - so much so that the server really didn't bother to explain what was on the board. It was really not a good value at all. I do recommend this place.
