The food was not the best. I ordered the grilled mushroom patty melt. It was slathered in some type of sauce that had an unusual tangy taste. Unlike any patty melt I've ever experienced. The fries were just blah. I was quickly greeted and seated. My server was rather annoying going overboard on wanting to take my order. It took a long time to get my food and the gentleman who ordered several minutes after me had his food before I did. The restaurant reeked of body odor which made for an unpleasant experience. Also the lights and decorative bracket they are in could use a good cleaning. While the location is close to my hotel, I would be hard pressed to return. I ate here a couple of years ago and said I wouldn't return....guess I didn't learn my lesson.

We visited the Cotton Patch Cafe in mid July and it didn't disappoint. The food was PHENOMENAL! We didn't wait long at all. The service was amazing and our server, Maria Vega, was fantastic. Food was hot and fresh. The ambience was relaxing. And we left very satisfied with more than enough leftovers. It's a shame we were just visiting the area! Great experience all around!

    Best house rolls!!!

We went here randomly and were pleasantly surprised!!! I don't know why the reviews on here aren't higher. Maria served us. She was amazing, providing the best service! I had the salmon with rice, and baked potato and my fiance got the chicken fried chicken. Both entrees were delicious! Portions were great and very fairly priced. Wish we had photos (we honestly just dug right in!). The house rolls were so good we couldn't stop eating them, paired with the cinnamon butter... yum!!! We will be back here again when we're in the area and to hopefully see Maria again.

This was our first time at this cotton patch. The staff were very welcoming. The older lady who was the host was great (her and my mother in law almost became bffs). We came on a Friday around lunch time (1:30 pm). Wasn't too busy. I had two kids meals. Both my kids had the chicken tenders and it came with two sides (that's a plus). I did appreciate them bringing those out first. I ordered the avocado chicken sandwich. It wasn't too bad. I did ask for the bun to have mayo and it didn't. The waitress did bring that on the side. Fries were on the dry side for me though. My mother in law ordered the triple cheeseburger with mustard and again they didn't put it on. In my opinion I feel someone in the kitchen just wasn't paying attention to the modifications. She said it was ok. My husband had the potato with brisket. He said he'll give it like a 3/5. Since it wasn't smoked and tasted like it's premade. Filling but lacked a little flavor. Overall, the place was clean and the staff were very welcoming. Food lacked a little flavor.

This was already a make-up from a missing meal on a previous order. When I think country cooking, I think hearty portions like the pictures on their website show. Ordered meatloaf and chicken fried chicken the dinner portion, both seemed like very small portions. The meatloaf looks like they left the bottom half in the pan and the chicken fried chicken was tiny little pieces. And they forgot my Mac and cheese. Second chance disappointment!

Disappointed order a steak and look how little and a little crispy. Not sure how someone could serve this. So sad.

Probably one of the most horrible places I've ever eaten. We got takeout, which is a mistake. May be taken out to the trash. Should be a better description. Tiny portions of food almost tasteless, very irritated from my visit and the fact that this place is crazy expensive for what it is. I believe we were one of two people there these folks were sitting at a table. I believe they may have been employees and we just came in to pick up an order we had called in. They weren't gonna be there to complain, so why not just serve them terrible food and small portions and then overcharged them! Mission accomplished

Service was awful, orders were wrong, food was not great. Highly don't recommend. This was at 1:30 on a Sunday with light business.

One of my favorite places to eat, but don't order fries. Never had a good experience with the fries. Other than that, delicious food.

I order literally anything else, but she was out of key lime pie. And yet here I was, quietly reevaluating my personality after one bite. The atmosphere seals the deal. Warm, welcoming, cozy, and actually feels like a real wine bar. Not loud. Not pretentious. Just the kind of place you want to linger, order another glass, and pretend you're a local. This is a go out of your way, take the exit, cancel your plans kind of spot. Ashleigh's is a hidden gem and I will be thinking about that food for an unreasonable amount of time. 10/10. Would detour again just to try the key lime pie this time.

I had the carbonara, and honestly, it was almost too pretty to eat. The service was a little slow, but it actually gave us time to soak in the atmosphere and admire how beautiful the restaurant is inside. The vibe? Absolutely check. The cocktails were not our favorite, but that definitely won't stop us from coming back to try other drinks on the menu. What makes this place even more special is that it's a true mom-and-pop restaurant sourcing food locally. You really can't beat that. Supporting local while getting an amazing meal is always a win.

Pink and honest in the middle, warm and willing, bread holding it all together like a good road holding a long drive. Nothing flashy, nothing trying too hard just flavor that knew where it came from and didn't apologize. The arugula salad came sharp and clean, green with intent, that bitter edge that wakes you up a little and reminds you you're still alive. It wasn't there to impress you. It was there to balance things out, like a deep breath between sentences. I drank Earl Grey tea, steam rising slow, bergamot drifting up like memory, like train smoke somewhere far off. It felt right. The kind of tea you drink when you're not rushing anywhere, when the world can spin without you for a moment and that's okay. Fern in the Wild isn't trying to reinvent eating.
