We loved this little find! We came early-- before karaoke-- (so we were told) and enjoyed delightful service and delicious food! We shared bites between us--crostini with jam and prosciutto and meatballs! So delicious!! We also shared a cinnamon roll cheesecake which was insanely yummy. Loved our experience there! read more

We loved our first visit to Ashleigh's Downtown Kitchen & Bar. It was a Saturday evening and there was live music and a full house! We got it before the music started and ordered a pepperoni pizza which was delish! The 1 Waitress that was on duty was very busy so we didnt get to get anything else but are looking forward to going back and trying some other things on the menu. They had charcuterie on the menu and a gouda dip that sounded really good. Street Parking. Clean Bathroom. Clean Dining Room. Nice Bar and Selections. read more

On our way to Houston and wanted better than drive through. Though a limited menu, the food here is delicious. The service was very friendly, but the lone server was too busy for much follow up. For instance, we ordered 2 apps; one (the loaded kettle chips--DO TRY) came quickly, while the crostini, also delicious , took a while longer. She never got our entree order in the interim and we knew we had to leave for time concerns. That said, I'll gladly return if I find myself in Ennis at dinner time. read more

Parker greeted us at the door! Suzi & I had just stopped for a quick but not fast food lunch! Pizza was on our list so Ashleigh's Downtown Kitchen + Bar was the prize! Nice quiet atmosphere and pleasant quiet music. We will return and YES a to-go box was needed! read more

The pizza? Perfectly cooked. Not "pretty good." Not "solid." PERFECT. And then you find out the sausage is made in house and suddenly everything makes sense. This menu is all from scratch by someone who knows what they're doing and is not messing around. The Gouda dip is an absolute menace. So much bacon. So much flavor. Zero regrets. If you're sharing it, you're stronger than I am. Now let's talk about the strawberry cheesecake. I don't like cheesecake. I avoid cheesecake. I order literally anything else, but she was out of key lime pie. And yet here I was, quietly reevaluating my personality after one bite. The atmosphere seals the deal. Warm, welcoming, cozy, and actually feels like a real wine bar. Not loud. Not pretentious. Just the kind of place you want to linger, order another glass, and pretend you're a local. This is a go out of your way, take the exit, cancel your plans kind of spot. Ashleigh's is a hidden gem and I will be thinking about that food for an unreasonable amount of time. 10/10. Would detour again just to try the key lime pie this time. read more

For starters there isn't enough space or seating inside so we had sat outside and did not get service or drinks for 20 mins. After waiting that long to just order two pizzas and one appetizer we proceeded to wait another 20 mins to finally be seated inside. While sitting inside i noticed the kitchen staff preparing and making the food weren't wearing gloves making our pizzas or anyones food for that matter. After sitting inside we waited another 15 mins for our appetizer which was only 4 deviled eggs which were cold and lukewarm as if they had been sitting out. Then after another 10 min we finally asked to just pay for our app and leave which were then told it was too late because "ONE" of our two pizzas we ordered were in the oven?! So after being forced to pay for two pizzas that we hadn't even received and appetizers we didn't touch we waited another 25 mins for the second pizza before leaving final after all that time to not even eat while being seated! unless you want to just get drunk and eat trash food without being served don't come here!! read more

We happened upon this place by accident and didn't even realize it was a new place in town! Glad we did. It was great! We had the smoked Gouda dip, Volcano pizza and ended the meal with Bourbon Pecan Cheesecake. Our bartender/ server Vic knew what he was doing and kept the whole place running smoothly. Our pizza was the special but there are many creative ones we will be back to try. They are a small restaurant so once word gets out it might be hard to get in. They have specialty drinks and cocktails as well. Glad they are in Ennis! read more

We're in Ennis for the Bluebonnet Festival and stopped at Ashleigh's for dinner. The burrata salad was absolutely delicious. We had a supreme pizza and garlic butter mushrooms. Couldn't ask for better service. It was all delightful. Highly recommend Ashleigh's and Ennis. read more

Janie was our highly welcoming and attentive server. The place is small but very cozy and clean. The crab and shrimp cakes were good and the house made remoulade was awesome. Buttered mushrooms and Caesar salads were very good as well. Ashleigh came to our table to greet us and shared that their sauces, dressings, and desserts are made in-house. Great! We ordered a supreme pizza. The house made crust was perfect and the pizza was delicious. Had to get the key lime pie to go but snuck a taste before we left and OMG it's divine! Well be back soon! Thanks for a great experience! read more

Ashleigh's was a pleasant surprise! I'm not usually a huge fan of pizza, but this was one of the best I've eaten. The meal deal was an excellent value. The smoked Gouda cheese dip was out of this world delicious, the Caesar salads were large with lots of chicken and the volcano pizza was fantastic if you like a spicy pizza. The service was excellent as well! What a great find!!! I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be going back! read more

Where to start: given a menu that must have been wet at one time and now dried out as it was all wobbly. Had to ask for napkins and cutlery. Bartender still left used napkins in front of us. Gross. Music so loud we had to speak up and this was 2 pm and we were only patrons in the place on a Sunday. The avocado BLT was the worse. The two pieces of bacon tasted OLD and as if refried in fat. How can you ruin bacon? Hard a a rock. The sourdough must have been toasted earlier in the day. The lettuce was not leafy but had the spine that's in the middle of a piece of romaine. Not tomato slices but halved grape tomatoes. What? Did they put leftover salad on the BLT? Horrible. The only thing that tasted fresh was the avocado itself. The chips were good so ate those and left the rest. We sat at the bar. Again, no one else in the place. The bartender/wait staff person decided that was a good time to use the commercial lemon extractor in front of my husband as we ate and tried to talk. Like the music wasn't already loud. Awful experience. read more

We, a group of 6, walked in at 5:40pm. Only one other table was occupied. We ordered drinks. Three new tables were sat within the next 30 minutes. We received one appetizer that was not ours- then finally had to ask if we could place our order. we all got pieces of our order one at a time. Never got the actual appetizers we placed. We will NOT be back read more
