Charcuterie Board

An absolute gem in downtown Ennis! We stopped in after a day of exploring the bluebonnet trails. Even though we were a large group of 12, the staff greeted us so warmly. They allowed us to sit in the lounge section by moving the chairs so we could all face each other and talk. The wine and drinks were excellent. Try the smoked old fashioned! And the food was just as good. We had a mix of flatbreads and dips, charcuterie boards, and a couple of desserts to share. It couldn't have been a better experience. We can't wait to come back!

This is an amazing little spot! They have a good selection of wines, whiskeys and a few beers from local breweries too. Small bites that serve for a meal if you get a few. Excellent quality all around. Ask the owners and staff about the menu, they are very knowledgeable as to the science behind the drinks. Ambience is amazing... like stepping into a different cozy little world. They often have live music performers, too. Best bar in town!!!

Roasted garlic chicken flatbread! Phone did not eat first (sorry).

If I'm being completely honest, I would go hear and get a piece of Whiskey Cake EVERYDAY if I…read morewasn't worried about my sugar intake. The restaurant is named after it for a reason. This visit we didn't get any entrees or drinks we were there for the cake. We don't have one in our state so we were ECSTATIC to find out there were a few in the metroplex area. We did go 2 out of our 4 days there. Just get the cake, ask for a middle piece. Everything is locally sourced and the whipped cream is made fresh and you can tell. Every bite is heaven. The slices are pretty big so 2 of us share one. The service is fantastic and fast. Zero complaints. We also learned on our last visit that they ship the whiskey cake.. not sure they should've told me this lmao because I will be ordering.

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar - Comfort, Cocktails, and a Sweet Finish…read more A quick stop in Fort Worth to visit friends during our six-week road trip led us here, and it turned into one of those "glad we chose this place" kind of nights. The space is large, comfortable, and full of life, even on a Wednesday evening. There are cozy sofa corners if you want something a little more intimate, plus an outdoor area that's "outside"... but not too outside, which honestly feels like a win. Drinks were a highlight. My boulevardier was spot on, and then I shared a smoked Old Fashioned with my friend that was just... exquisite. Smooth, balanced, and a little dramatic in the best way. Food held its own. The chicken and waffles were delicious, the chopped chicken salad was fresh and satisfying, and my friend's Reuben got a lot of love from her side of the table. And then came dessert. We shared the Whiskey Cake with praline ice cream, and let's just say, it lives up to the name. Decadent, rich, and absolutely worth it. Service was really good. Attentive without hovering, and thoughtful in those small ways that stand out. At one point, our server split the Old Fashioned for us without us even asking. That kind of anticipation earns points. This is the kind of place you return to when you're back in town. Comfortable, reliable, and just indulgent enough to feel like a treat.

I was trying several places this day, so I just got a Garlic, Cheese, Sour Cream & Bacon Lángos. I've never had this dish before and it was fantastic! It came with a delicious sauce too. His name was Carlos and watching him make the drinks was like watching alchemy. The care he took to make everyone's drink was amazing. I don't drink but I bet he would make an amazing concoction! Chino and Carlos kept checking in on me and made sure I was taken care of. Even though it was a Sunday night it was a little slower and idk why because the food is amazing. I asked for the chefs name (Grace) because the plating was gorgeous and everything was delicious! I got the fried flatbread- I would consider it more like a cheesy garlicky savory sopapilla to be honest and it was so good! I also had a cup of the goulash and it was amazing. The beef was so tender and so yummy. I thought it was very much like Bo Kho from Vietnam. They even served the goulash with bread! I will be coming back to Dallas and I will absolutely be coming back here! Amazing service, kind people, great food and bartenders that look like they know what they are doing!
