This place been open for a bit and I'm just now getting a chance to visit it on Father's Day. I checked in online and then checked in with the hosts after and the wait said 20-35 min and I think we waited 10 min. Definitely loved that we didn't wait long (it was only a party of two as well). The place is cute. Kinda like the whole sitting with family in the kitchen vibe. Wasn't too crammed. Place was clean even if it was busy. I ordered the Tri-fecta. Which I wanted the waffle, eggs, pork sausage. It also came with jam for the waffle And warm syrup! My husband ordered the works which he enjoyed since he's on a low carb diet. He felt full and satisfied. We also wanted to try the million dollar bacon which weren't too bad but I felt like for us we would have liked it a little more crunchy but overall not too bad. If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. We had one of the worst customer service experiences here. We made a reservation at the front and were told the wait would be about 40 minutes, which we were completely fine with. After waiting over an hour, we checked on our reservation only to find out the employee had misspelled my husband's name so we couldn't find the reservation and entered the wrong number of guests. We were then told we would have to wait an additional hour to be seated. Not once did anyone apologize or show any effort to resolve the issue. Extremely disappointing experience. read more

I love First Watch and I'm always willing to try the seasonal items to see what the flavor profiles are like. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by three servers and taken to our table. They gave us a booth as requested. This time they had this banana brittle French toast. I prefer pancakes most but French toast is cool. Our son ordered immediately after sitting so his food came first. He got the kids chocolate chip pancake which takes up an entire plate. Once we ordered our regular entrees we only waited a few minutes and the food began to come to our table. The berries are juicy and fresh and the thinly sliced almonds add crunch. Because of a drizzle of almond butter crème anglaise, caramelized bananas and lemon whipped cream I decided not to add the warm syrup they always bring to the table with your entrees. So the food was giving a more semi-sweet healthy (granola-esque) vibe rather than super sweet. I made it through a bout a third and I was done. Very filling and unique in flavor. I'd definitely go back this season to try more of the seasonal menu while my husband sticks to the Trifecta again and again and again. read more

I am SO glad First Watch is in town! Went this morning and had a great experience. We pulled in to the parking lot and it was full but we were seated immediately! We were warmly greeted at the door, hostess table, and our server came quickly to our table. We ordered the Avacado toast, scrambled eggs, a side of seasoned potatoes (regular) and the Turkey Sausage and Biscuit with scrambled eggs and seasoned potatoes. The food was amazing, so flavorful and cooked perfectly. I was actually shocked at how much avocado was on the avocado toast! The restaurant was clean, spacious, not too loud. The women's restroom was also clean and well stocked with supplies. There is a changing table in the handicap stall. We will definitely be back!! read more

Came here on the grand opening for my mom's birthday and had a blast! It was beautiful inside, well lit and nicely decorated with "real dinning room tables" as my mom said. The gladly accommodated our balloons and flowers and served with excellence! The place was packed, just like the Grand Prairie location usually is! Food was great, even though they didn't make me or my aunts eggs how I asked. She sent them back but I didn't feel like hassling with waiting ... only thing I would NOT recommend is the sangria pitcher, it wasn't as tasty or promising as the regular mimosas might have been! This was our first experience at a First Watch restaurant. They are open for breakfast, brunch and lunch. We had breakfast. We were seated immediately and once we got around to looking over the menu and ordering the food came out quickly. The eggs were cooked to order and so was the bacon and the banger sausages were like I remembered when we had a full Irish breakfast in Westport, Ireland. I asked for a taste of their turkey sausage gravy. It was ok but not nearly as good as pork sausage. I also tried their multi grain pancakes. They were just ok. I've had much better but I've also had a lot worse. All in all we will go back again and check out the lunch menu. Our waitress was very attentive. read more

This was my first visit and I accompanied my wife who had been once before to another location. The place was packed both inside and on the patio. I knew then I was in for a treat. Business like this means the food must be good. My wife told me on the way that I was in for some deliciousness and she was right. The food came out hot and fresh within about 20 mins which was extremely quick for a packed place. The food arrived hot and everything looked wonderful. I had the carne asada tacos and they were absolutely amazing and it tasted so fresh.My wife had the Lemon ricotta pancakes and said they were amazing. I'm not big on lemon except in my tea and I must say I was surprisingly shocked at how good they were. There was something about that lemon that tasted like it was made with fresh squeeze lemon juice. I really don't know what to say other than I would order that for myself next time we visit maybe. The mint mocha coffee was just as amazing as the food. The service was just as good as the food. This is really good food ya'll and if you haven't tried it you are missing out. Starting off me and my wife ordered coffee . I got the cinnamon toast cereal milk which was a first watch version of espresso martini. 10 out of 10!!! Need it again is all that needed to be said my friends! My wife ordered the honey caramel crunch that was a little too sweet and honey kind of overpowered the caramel but it was decent 5/10 from me. Service was also amazing , we sat at the bar and were attended to immediately and frequently! The scenery wasn't too much had spacious seating and also outdoor seating needless to say it met our "vibe " needs. Now for the food.....i ordered the biscuits and turkey gravy with million dollar potatoes and i must say those biscuits and gravy were like night and day compared to some gravy I've had with PORK SAUSAGE! The biscuits and gravy was a 9.8/10‍ EASY MONEY. Now the million dollar potatoes were also very good but had a hint of sweetness i personally could've done with out that either came from the bacon or a cream sauce they had either way very good 9/10. My wife ordered the skillet hash that was i. My opinion one of the best breakfast options ! Savory, balanced and filling! Everything you could ask for in a hash ! Delicious food and amazing service! I was excited to try Waxahachie's newest breakfast and brunch spot, and First Watch did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming host. Our waitress was just as kind and accommodating, making the experience even better. I ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, and she thoughtfully came back to let me know it was taking a little longer since it was being squeezed right then--such a nice touch! I went with the traditional breakfast and upgraded the potatoes, which came out hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The crispy bacon was the cherry on top. Yes, First Watch is busy (a good sign!), but the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. It was absolutely worth the wait, and I can see myself coming back many times. read more

This review is a hard and sad one to type. Wife and I love First Watch so we were very excited to get one in Waxahachie. As you tell from the pics the food came out looking extremely delicious. The coffee was very good but could have been hotter from the carafe. Water was served with no ice. Now the food. I had the Chimichanga breakfast and the wife had the chocolate chip pancake. I was surprised that there was minimal hollandaise sauce on the changa. Took my first bite and utter disappointment. Cold. Not warm. Not luke warm but literally cold. Like out of the fridge. The potatoes were slightly hard. Needed about 3 more minutes of cooking. The manager was kind and had a new plate fired up for me. It came out steaming and with plenty of Hollandaise sauce. The flavor was awesome. Even on the first one the flavor was awesome. Unfortunately this time around the grilled onions in the potatoes and the changa were burnt and they cooked the outer husk of the onion and both items were loaded with it. I just ate it all. Now my wife's pancake was excellent she stated but was served with a little dollop of butter for a huge 10 inch pancake. Our waitress was sweet and obviously a greenhorn but she did what she could do to make it better. We paid and checked out as the manager checked us out. Note: not one asking if the meal was pleasant or good. But, he obviously recognized us as he handed me a "Buy One Get One Free" card for our next visit. Food was okay, but the management is failing the staff. We were told 45 min to 1 hour wait for 8 people. At the 1 hour 30 minute mark we had to go inside and ask. They suggested we sit at a booth clearly not made for 8 or it would be another 30 min to 1 hr wait. The food was average and not worth the 2 hours we waited to get it. I understand they were busy and it was a Sunday afternoon. This is why I said their management is failing. Accurate wait times need to be given so guests aren't sitting for double the time told. They sat several other large parties at tables to accommodate their size, and several other parties that were there after us, which was a chip as well. The food-we got a 1/4 filled coffee pot for 3 people having coffee and had to flag down a waiter to get more after they passed our table several times. The works omelette I got was okay, but not seasoned and lukewarm when it arrived. The accompanying potatoes were seasoned, but some were clearly not cooked all the way through and had a slight hard almost crunch to them. read more

This visit was different from the usual First Watch experience I enjoy. The service was wonderful, but a few details fell short. The atmosphere at this newer location didn't quite have the same fresh and warm feel I've experienced elsewhere. My meal was served with the wrong condiment, which threw the dish off, and the seasonal flavors--one of my favorite parts of First Watch's farm-to-table style--weren't mentioned or offered. I hope these are just early growing pains for this location, because with a few adjustments, it could match the high standards I've come to appreciate at First Watch. read more

I was seated on the patio quickly, but the service NEVER came. I walked in solo right behind a couple who also sat on the patio. A SERVER NEVER CAME TO ME, but went to their table with coffee , water and took their order. HE LOOKED ME DEAD IN MY FACE AS HE WALKED BY AND SAID NOTHING!! I sat there at least 5 minutes with NOTHING. No water, no coffee, no server. I went to the host stand to let them know and they were visibly shocked that a server had not come to my table. The young lady went to speak to him and he literally shrugged. They said I could sit at the bar. Why do I have to move from where I'm sitting to get service? It may not be what it was, but I can't help to feel because of my skin color. What else could it be? I'm highly DISAPPOINTED and OFFENDED that I was treated with such disregard. Staff were very attentive, and checked on us frequently even after we received our order. My daughter ordered coffee with her meal, and Cheyenne brought a carafe of coffee for her, and a carafe of water for those of us drinking that. Food was really good. This is very nice addition to the breakfast scene in Waxahachia Texas! I had a frittata with mushrooms, onion, bacon , kale and cheese! It was cooked to perfection! I could not eat it all the portion was substantial. It came with a dressed spring mix salad lightly dressed with oil and lemon. There could have been a more aggressive dressing with perhaps some ginger and lemongrass with some lime. The server was attentive and helpful. The food came out from the kitchen quickly and was hot and looked inviting to eat! I khan a pomegranate cocktail with tequila which was . I do not normally gravitate to tequila but it was good with pomegranates! The coffee was bitter and hard to sweeten. I had to use at least 8 packets to make it sweet enough to drink. The disappointment was there was no splendor on stevia! it leaves a very bad aftertaste in my mouth! The appearance of this restaurant is very clean and farm like cafe! I liked the aesthetics of this place! First Watch is a pleasing place to have breakfast. Whether you are in a rush or not! Give them a try for yourself .
