The food is amazing. Service is attentive and the ambiance is very nice. Red Oak needs this!

Possibly best shrimp & grits I've eaten. Excellent, much much better than most. Large shrimp, superior sauce with perfect mushrooms and peppers in sauce on grits. Ribs were very good with above average potato crisps and homemade hush puppies. Friendly attentive staff.

Chocolate Cream Pie

I'm talking pie...if not the best in Texas, please do tell! Last night I missed out on an amazing Coconut Cream Pie, but I scored with this amazing dinner at Zucchs, Chicken Pot pie...went back to have pie and was delighted to find a rich and delicious Chocolate Cream Pie...perfect with their great coffee, locally sourced. Now open for lunches, with nicely priced lunch specials! Nightly dine in specials too! (Kids eat free on Wednesday with each adult entree!) so good!!!

Delicious food and amazing service Allen was a great waiter I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good food at a good price! The ambiance was very pleasant and relaxing I will definitely be returning for another meal soon!

Banana Pie

Zucchs is a great addition to Red Oak. The food was awesome. From the complementary zucchini bread, to the creative, flavorful entrees, we thoroughly enjoyed every part of our experience. The interior of the restaurant is in the works still, as it used to be Randy's Barbecue. I would definitely recommend the Gallus, which is oak smoked chicken. You can really taste the flavor of the smoke. Also, the banana pie was absolutely delicious. Best restaurant in Red Oak by far.

Birria Queso, so delicious!! Chips were not greasy and tasted just right! If you like queso, try this, you'll love it!

Very nice place from the people who brought Gravy to Red Oak! Great food, service and atmosphere. Looking forward to going back and telling others about it too. We were eating a late lunch and it was not too busy at the time so our server actually went over to Gravy, across the parking lot, and got some cinnamon rolls for us. We told her it wasn't necessary, but she did it anyway. Agree with the other review: Red Oak needs a place like this and Gravy too.

Gravy has made an inroad in the community primarily as a breakfast place and with good reviews, so we'll assume breakfast is good. Located in a nice strip center with lots of parking, Gravy is open until 2. Lunch is available and so 5 months ago we went for lunch since lunch is more our thing. We were given a sample of their raved about zucchini bread and it was delicious. Nice touch that. My husband ordered a Wedge salad and a Club sandwich. I ordered the Friday Fried Cod. I'll start with my fish. I used multiple layers of napkins to try and absorb the oil from my fried fish. It was not only greasy but dark brown and fried hard. It came with a paper medicine cup of Slaw and some Tater Tots for $16. I could have tried to send it back. Some days you just aren't up to it. My husband's $16 Paseo Club was an ordinary wheat bread sandwich with turkey, ham, cheddar, swiss and bacon with the obligatory extra piece of bread, lettuce and tomato. See photo below. $16! With a few slices of fried zucchini as the side. His Wedge salad was $4. And tasty, I was told. Service was friendly and helpful and the place was comfy. The lunch items ranged from not very good, though, to just plain expensive and forgettable. I am sure that breakfast must be their jam. Full menu available online. Check it out
