    Fajita street tacos
    David G.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service, food and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had 2 street tacos (fajita steak) w/chips & queso. Food is above-average w/fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. Service is impeccable, w/constant refills.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The location is great and the inside is nice and spacious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fantastic, we had some chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. We got some queso dip, it was probably the highlight of the visit. Piping hot and super flavorful. The rest of the meal was a little lacking. I had the Chile Rellenos and it was unique to say the least. The flavors were unlike any rellenos I've had before. They were cooked well, and they weren't bad, it was just middle of the road. If I was to go back I'd get the tacos. They had some good seasoning and had more flavor than any of the other dishes. Great service, good food!

Pipian chicken with "tiny, tiny" serving of Spanish rice with salad
    Marco R.

We arrived for lunch during the week, the place looks inviting and we were seated right away. We got our drinks right away, with warm chips and red medium heat salsa. We didn't get an appetizer but the menu looks appealing, may try some next time. I ordered the Pipian Chicken, it wasn't great, the pipian sauce is served over chicken filet, but the flavor was lacking salt and the plate and food was not hot, not even warm. I do have to give you a star for the salad, it's a cabbage salad with crunchy tortillas thin strips, the rice is tasty but the portion of rice was "tiny", you could easily give double that amount on each plate. I would ask that your server tells you that you are getting a vinegar dressing for your salad, and provided other options. My other 3 coworkers had the beef filet that comes with sweet fried plantains. Hope to come back and try other choices.

Adobo and one of the tacos. We were busy eating!

The flavors are sooooo good! Pastor tacos and adobo were fantastic! 85 characters for this is too much

My new favorite restaurant in Midlothian. I got the fajitas and the steak was so thick and juicy, it can easily feed two people.

One of two places it looks like to eat in Founders Row. Came with a group of 7. We stood around the bar height tables and had drinks for about an hour before finally sitting down. The bartender took great care of us despite the size of the group and ensured we had everything we needed. Once we sat down, the real magic happened. We ordered a few apps for the table, calamari, spinach and artichoke dip and alligator bites. I only had some of the artichoke dip and some of the complementary smoked salmon dip they brought out. Didn't want to be too full for the catfish plate I ordered. The artichoke dip was made with smoked Gouda and was great. The other apps got great comments from other people in the party. I ordered a fried catfish plate that came with grilled shrimp, coleslaw and fries. Catfish was cooked perfectly and the grilled shrimp were delicious, great seasoning. The coleslaw is made with cabbage, green bell pepper and apple cider vinegar. Really great combo that worked well. Service was great especially for our large party. Our server who was also the bartender because we sat in the bar area kept a fresh soda water in front of me the entire time, never had to ask. The manager/owner? even stopped over to check in on us a couple of times. Stop in for a great meal, I wish I could return to try the crawfish etoufee.

Seating consist of boots tables, and a little bit of a sushi bar seating. SERVICE Huge deductions for service and my party was not happy. Initially service was good, and they were attentive to us, but gradually it declined. It took around almost an hour for us to get our food. Parties that were seated before us, and around the same size got their food before us and left before we even got our food. I hadn't familiarized myself with their expansive menu before we went. Our waiter, Jesse, was terrific and quided us through the appetizer descriptions as we settled in. I wanted to try their fish and chose the Japanese Mackerel, a Grilled Saba, for $7.50 from their rotating appetizer list. My spouse loves Chicken Karaage and just had to have that from the permanent app list. The Chicken Karaage was $7 for Fried-marinated boneless thigh meat with kewpie mayo, and bonito flakes. Itadaki also has a spicy mayo that is delicious. So we noshed and perused the amazing menu that had Bento boxes, sushi, dinner entrees, their Hokkaido-Style ramen and more. The Mackerel was lovely. It was a perfect small filet with charred skin and I shared it with my husband only to realize later that after the chicken, I had stopped taking photos. We just sat and ate our way to the end of a wonderful meal. The Chicken Karaage was terrific. So my Husband ordered the Chicken Katsu Bento. The Bentos come with salad, miso soup, a large portion of rice - he chose fried rice - steamed broccoli, gyoza, and fruit. ($20 + $2) The Bento portion is a lot of food, especially if you have appetizers. I ordered Jesse's recommended Ramen, the Nigori Chicken Broth. It's their signature creamy broth with lots of curly egg noodles and I chose the pork chase and light sodium. It came with egg, corn, scallions and mushrooms and there was no way that I could finish it. Definitely Delicious. The leftovers rode well. We had a lovely time and I definitely want to return. Parking can be a little tight directly in front as this strip center contains some very popular places, but there is a large parking lot at one end that will suffice.
