First time trying Thai food! A bit disappointed though because they were out of glass noodles and the only reason I was trying this was for the glass noodles. Overall though they were good and would get it again (if they're not out of glass noodles). Service was great also! Ordered online and got it quick!

So excited to have Thai food in Midlothian! Love the enchanted forest ambiance within the restaurant. Menu has a lot of options and decent prices. Kinda sad there is no type of lunch specials. Service is good as well. Would return!

So glad we tried Tie Thai! Everything was great. It's so nice inside. Service was excellent.

Well placed plants, screens and decor throughout to mask doors, beverage machines and various carts.

I was sure that I had written a review for TIE Thai Restaurant. After all, I am still amazed that we even have a Thai restaurant within 20 minutes of my house! We have been driving two or three times that far for over 30 years for Thai curry or a bowl of Tom Kha Gai and we somehow stumbled upon TIE Thai on our back doorstep in Midlothian. The unassuming little strip center that houses TIE Thai is not all that easy to see from the street on South 9th. Parking is a little tight in the lot, too. Once inside, you know you're in a Southeast Asia themed restaurant, though, and large plants and screens are used to good effect to disguise intrusive beverage machines or doorways and create a very comfortable setting. We were first there in late afternoon on a weekday and virtually one person was keeping this place together out front. Nothing ruffled her; but I mean she was BUSY. She graciously helped us with our order and then the food started coming. It was all well prepared, too. We shared a large bowl of absolutely delicious Tom Kha Gai and an order of Crispy Chicken Egg Rolls. My husband ordered the Green Curry with Chicken and the heat level was a perfect 3. I had the Pad Kee Mao. The dish needed more heat and salt for me. I had specified a 3, too; but it's always easier to add than delete heat! We were pleasantly surprised with our experience and I'm sure we'll return as our enthusiasm for good Thai food is boundless!

This was our first time eating here and we are never coming back. The food was HORRIBLE and not edible. At first we were extremely excited to know there was a Thai restaurant here in the area, only to be let down. Pictures for reference. The papaya salad was probably the worst papaya salad I've ever had; the flavor was over powered by the papaya. Secondly, the Sweet Mango Sticky rice. I HAVE NEVER seen a mango look like this

Over pricing menu, Food is average at best, Portion quantity is small not worth the amount they charge.

WIth a name like Tie Thai, I'll be the first to admit I wasn't ready to take this place seriously. Being situated behind an Exxon gas station in the middle of nowhere (#1) wasn't helping its cause but I couldn't be happier to be wrong because the food was actually on point. The restaurant brings a modern interior with lots of seating options and a really nice open layout. They're bringing a semi-big city feel of an establishment, to an otherwise desolate area. Things are changing quickly though at the Southside Center: numerous businesses (#2) have opened up nearby and gentrification is happening as we speak. South 9th Street is clearly on the up and up. As previously noted, the Thai offerings seems pretty legit. I enjoyed their basil fried rice, spicy grilled beef salad, green curry, pad see yu, and pad thai. I think their tom yum / tom kha soup, fried tofu, and spring rolls are also solid choices and the spice levels are definitely no joke. What is laughable is their take on Vietnamese pho and yakisoba, but no one is perfect. Some other things to note: they'll charge a small fee for credit card usage, service is good for the most part, and they have a picture menu. Their much more well known sister location in downtown Fort Worth (#3) is now closed. ___________ (#1) Midlothian, TX. Hello. This is a hidden GEM! We had the Thai wings which were very yummy - 2 flats and 2 drums. The Pad See Ew with chicken was fantastic! My 20-year old daughter cleared her plate. I got the Oanang Curry with Chicken and added extra coconut milk - fantastic! We will be back and no longer have to drive to Arlington for solid Thai! The store is clean and neatly decorated. Our server was so polite and attentive. We got a See Ew to go because it was so good!

Had a delicious Panang Chicken Curry lunch, the servings were big and plenty, fair enough for the price ($13.95). Plenty of vegetables and a large portion of rice, and the most delicious coconut creamy sauce. Yummy!! Service was attentive and friendly. For Drinks we all had water with lemon. I could not give this restaurant a five star, all four of us agreed that the water was from the tap. We could not swallow.

Still delicious! Order the chicken satay, you will not be disappointed. If I was you I would order two chicken satays. The cucumber salad is so tasty! I don't think you can go wrong with anything from here. I ordered my four year old twins the chicken pad Thai, mild, and they gobbled it up. I'm looking forward to the next time I come here. Yum!

Ok for Midlothian, needs spice and freshness-seemed more like well seasoned Chinese food. I've been 2 times, the tom yum Kai was good!

I ordered the fried cauliflower appetizers and garlic noodles with a level one spice. The flavor was bursting and the spice was there. The food was made to order and the service was fantastic. I liked it so much that I came back two days later and order the fried mushroom appetizer and garlic rice with full veggies. It was soo tasty and the portion size was two meals. There is so much I want to try on the menu. Oh, their lemonade with beet and ginger was refreshing.

ThaiBinh's totally vegan menu looks delicious. Every item has a photo and although I only have appetizer photos, our entrees were just as tasty looking. My favorite edible, though, was the battered and fried eggplant half moons with garlic and green onion ($8). The creamy interior in juxtaposition to the crunchy exterior was dynamite! I could order that again and again. Equally pleasing was the crunchy rice paper wrapped Spring Roll ($8). I'm sure the protein choice makes a little difference from roll to roll. We had the vegan chick'n. It was a good flavor component. We noticed that there are a number of new items (for us). I ordered the spaghetti noodles in garlic sauce with cilantro and I picked Oyster Mushroom as my protein ($16). In retrospect, this is a dish I would take home and add more veggies to. Which is what I did do with the leftover. The portion is generous and delicious; it's just a lot of pasta to mushroom. My husband ordered a side of broccoli ($8) and somehow he also ordered this enormous mound of seasoned brown rice with it. It was too much even for two people. We took most of that home as well. And still, exactly as I remember him, Chef/Owner ThaiBinh Ho is friendly and unassuming. He actually remembered me from the first time I wrote a review and asked permission to take his photo. His food reflects his spiritual philosophy and his joy in sharing it with customers at the Desoto Marketplace. There's oodles of parking here with food trucks outside and the food kiosks inside. There are two areas with tables and chairs if you want to dine in and there's picnic tables outside. Since there are other non-restaurant businesses here, too, you can browse while you wait. Restrooms are in the back. There's even a playground if you have small children. Hours are weekday only, Tuesday through Friday with a break in the afternoon.

Instead, one came sickeningly sweet with an unlisted cinnamon syrup, and the other still had a strong cinnamon taste. When we questioned this, the server casually mentioned the cinnamon syrup--something not disclosed on the menu. I had to specifically ask her to take one back rather than her responding promptly. Next, they brought our sushi rolls, but no plates, no soy sauce, and not even dishes for dipping. We had to ask for all those basics. I specifically chose two rolls without cream cheese--because I don't want cream cheese in my sushi--and yet one still had it. The server's response was to chat with a manager but not to offer any solution, compensation, or correction. Overall, if a menu lists certain ingredients, that's what should arrive. Adding things like cinnamon in a drink or cream cheese in a roll--especially when people might have dietary needs--is careless. They need to be more attentive to both the menu and the customer's feedback.
