We have been trying to explore our city more. Pandan was on our try list and we were not disappointed. When we walked in we were greeted. Logan helped us with our order since it was our first time there. I chose the Tom Kha soup, I got extra veggies since I don't eat meat. It was sooo good and flavorful. I also got the loaded basil fries, I learned they came with chicken...I didn't know that but I ate around the chicken. They were still tasty and I love the aioli sauce it comes with. I also got their thai tea. It was really good and I loved that it comes in a sturdy plastic cup. My husband kept it simple the the fried rice but he thought it was seasoned really well. The septic smell was awful when I picked up my order tonight. I honestly would have walked out if I hadn't already paid. It was overwhelming and completely unacceptable. Pandan Thai in Burleson is what I expected for Downtown Burleson. The food was decent enough, but it wasn't spiced nearly as aggressively as other Thai spots. The service was very friendly and the upstairs dining area is very nice (they have board and card games available to play). Overall, I probably won't go back, but they weren't terrible, just basic. I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing. I get the pandan pad Thai with chicken spice level 1 and it's perfect even if I need it a bit more spicy they have sriracha so I can adjust it myself. The service is good and always friendly/helpful. They have easy ordering which I love either in person, over the phone, or on the chow now app which I use to order ahead. They also have curbside pickup which is convenient. The ambiance of the restaurant is relaxed and clean. They have a downstairs and an upstairs. They are in a good location in downtown Burleson next to other popular spots. read more

Visited a church in the area and wanted to try something new and curry. The prices are GREAT for the portions. We selected three entrees and an appetizer. (1) Pandan Pad Thai with chicken, which was hot & fresh, tasted decent (was missing bean sprouts and the sprinkle of peanuts I'm accustomed to) (2) Pork Belly Hun Lay & Rice was very tender and flavorful - no complaints (3) Yellow Curry with onions and potatoes was VERY disappointing :\ menu states mildly spicy but it lacked I think because it was so runny - expectation is for the rice to soak up the flavors of the curry and for it to STICK. Consistency was like broth rather than gravy-like and potatoes didn't taste all the way cooked. The Pad Thai rolls are MONSTROUS y'all - more like spring roll-wrapped lettuce burritos stuffed w/rice noodles with a tiny bit of shredded carrots & purple cabbage. The peanut sauce dip is decent good size and definitely needed for flavor, and there's no mint in the rolls. For drinks, we took the offer of the complimentary ice water & fresh sweet tea. All in all, our tummies were satisfied but our taste buds not so much with the disappointment of the curry. The refreshing tea and the colorful ambience was the star of the meal for me. I went here two months ago for food. The food is good. There is no silverware or actual dishes, so it feels like you are eating fast food. I looked past that part because of the yummy food. But 2 months ago when I dined in, the a/c was broken and the toilets smell like sewage waste. I thought surely they would get repairs done. 2 months later, it is still the same with fans now placed around, and the same awful smell in the restrooms. I'm going to be honest, I had very low expectations for this place since the Asian food in the burleson area is not the most authentic. Thought I'd give it a try anyways. I ordered a shrimp Thai fried rice and a beef pad see ew and both were very good!! So glad I was not let down. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because the Thai tea was very sweet and I was overcharged. Looked at my receipt when I got home and menu price for Thai fried rice was $9.75 and I was charged extra $2.50 for shrimp which the employee did tell me and I was ok with that but I was charged $11.25 for the Thai fried rice + extra $2.50 up-charge for shrimp. We bring others here often, and those guests we bring comment on the quality of the food and taste. Only negative for this business, and all in the vicinity, is the parking. I had the yellow curry one of my favorite dishes. However the yellow curry was salty. Not sure where the coconut milk was in this batch. So in that case I would not recommend the yellow curry. The loaded fries were really good per my husband enjoyed his order. I called to ask for compensation and a worker answered the phone. They gave me one name and at the end of call lied and gave another name. The most this company could offer was an apology. None of my information was taking, no offer to give me another order. I wouldn't order from here if you're looking for authentic Thai food. Originally she stated her name was April or Avery and when I advised this was a poor company policy not even offer to remake my meal she then stated her name was Lily. I have not been into the location to eat there, I ordered my food to-go so this review is based on that. Keep in mind, this is located in the middle of several other places so parking is limited. I'll start by saying I prefer this location WAY more than the previous location. Anyways, when you walk in you, Pandan Thai gives you like a coffee shop vibe. Somewhere you can grab casual/dinner/lunch to catch up with a loved one OR somewhere you can bring a laptop to work/study if you like having some mild noise in the background like most coffee shops. It wasn't loud or anything. There are huge windows and it has some tables upstairs as well. Lots of sunlight coming in, which makes it nice and refreshing. It can be a place where to stop in for dessert drinks/tea/coffee and dessert (ice cream!!). They also have other "asian snacks" as well. Menu is small, but has several different items to choose from. Appetizers, main dishes, soup, salad, noodles, ice cream, specialty drinks (THAI TEA!!! lol) Thai tea is more on the thick/condense milk side, which I thought was amazing. Very potent. If you prefer more milk/sweetener than Tea, you could probably request so. I liked the Thai Tea here, it was good! Strong! There are two sizes, regular & large. I ordered the Drunken Noodles (aka pad kee mao) to go. You can get level 1-5 spicy. I love spicy food, but since everywhere has their own "range of spice" I decided to go with a level 4. It was ok, I think I would need a level 8 before it starts getting super spicy. If prefer just a medium level I would stay in the 3-4 range. If you love love love spicy (super spicy thai food..) I would recommend stating you would like level 5+ (thai spicy). The spicy level here is based on the Americanized spice level and not the Thai Spice level.. if that makes sense. Even though I got a level 4, it was only a little/not really that spicy but it did add flavor to it. Generous amount of chicken and noodles. The other ingredients slacked a little. The chicken was a tad bit dry, but not terrible. I also tried the Basil Loaded Fries/potatoes wedges (pretty GOOD!!!!) Even though the potatoes were a little under cooked than I would prefer, it was still good. It has spicy mayo, grilled onions, basil and some chicken in it. When I order this again, I would probably ask to skip on the chicken and have extra of the spicy mayo on the side to order. As to-go order I was very impressed. Food was still really hot by the time I got home, I live about 15 minutes away. It comes in plastic container.. so I put my left over drunken noodles back in the fridge and reheated it for lunch the next day and it was still good. I have been to both the Burleson and the Crowley locations. Their pad thai is so dry that the pasta sticks together in 1 giant ball of pasta. That is not the way pad thai is supposed to be. It should have enough sauce so that the pasta is separated not stuck together. However, they have good curries and great pineapple rice. The crispy spring rolls are okay but they would be better with peanut sauce instead of the sugar water they serve them with that they call something else. Their Tom Yum is decent and so are all of their curries. So Pandan if you are listening add more sauce to your pad thai and change your sugar water sauce to peanut and you will be doing a lot better. read more

Picked up a Thai tea, which many reviews stated it was the best in town, but I was disappointed in it actually. The cup and look is very attractive, the ice is perfect (similar to Sonic's ice), but I thought it had too much milk (which they have non-dairy options by the way!), it was quite sweet, and the Thai tea flavor just wasn't there. Most likely not purchasing again. On the other hand, the Pad Thai was amazing!! I got half chicken and half tofu for my protein. The portion was great, the chicken wasn't dry, but the flavor was even better!! It was evened out throughout each noodle. The tofu seemed quickly pan fried, so the inside was sometimes mushy/moist, but I still enjoyed it. Definitely going back for the pad Thai again :) read more

I got my food to go, but if you plan to dine in ask to sit upstairs. Its uber cute and could be a perfect inexpensive date night.
