All of the food was so amazing and fresh. The service and atmosphere was quite nice. The restaurant is small with a really nice vibe

Friday night, September 5th, 9pm ish: Sushi and Ramen was excellent as usual. My favorite place to get sushi in the waxahachie area, and their Tan Tan Ramen is excellent. Never have any problems here--usually. Friday night I took my wife out on the first date night we've been able to have without the kids in months. During our dinner I noticed that there was a second source of music competing with the overhead music. It was pretty loud and it was super annoying to have both in competition because it wasn't music at that point just very loud noise. Also, we were sitting on the very periphery of the dining room next to the outside wall. I asked our waitress if there was music or something coming from the kitchen. She said, "yeah. It's pretty loud huh?" And then told us don't worry she'll take care of it, which she did. A+ for her customer service. I tipped her very well for that. She had turned the music in the kitchen off. But this is the problem, the ignorant and obstinate staff, in the kitchen turned it back on after about 10 minutes. I was very disappointed in their indifference to the customers dining experience. I could go on and on about how this wouldn't be in their own best interests, but i have a feeling that any rational and intelligent person out there would be able to come to those conclusions in their own, unlike the kitchen staff whom thought it was appropriate to be defiant to customer satisfaction. So in summation: -Food was amazing -wait staff etiquette was top tier -kitchen staff professionalism was shit -overall enjoyment dining there this time D-

Japanese Cherry Blossom Roll

We usually come here at least once every 1-2 months. Usually service isn't too bad. Today was questionable. Sunday 12:00 pm Mother's Day. It was slightly busy but we still didn't have to wait long for service. We sat down and they didn't even give us a menu. We ordered their steamed dumplings since my kids love them. They came out kinda cold. My husband ordered combination fried rice, cherry blossom rolls, and another roll he couldn't remember. I ordered the miso ramen soup. Today the miso soup didn't even have corn in it, which it should, but I just didn't feel like bothering to ask for it because our waitress wouldn't check up on us. My husband said his rolls and rice were ok, weren't too bad. Today was kinda busy but it seemed the staff struggled to keep up with their tables. Our waitress only checked on us once and when we asked to pay our bill she brought us our check and took soo long to come get it so we could leave . When my husband asked another server if they could help they all ignored him. I've noticed that this restaurant staff don't bother to help each other out. Overall today was like a 3 usually they are a little better.

Not from the area but was wanting Asian food. Walked in with very low expectations! But ohemgee was we wrong! Salmon belly 10/10 The spring-roll roll forgot the name of it 10/10 the sauce was amazing and light, not over powering Tonkatsu garlic ramen - 8/10 flavorful and pork was tender Passion fruit martini was perfect sweetness Thank you to sushi chef Ren for the recommendations! Will definitely be back if we are ever in the area!

This place hit the spot! We were craving ramen and sushi and could not have been more satisfied leaving this place. I wanted to come back a few hours later and eat it all again. We started with appetizers (house salad, pan seared gyoza, and a Umami Roll). The umami roll was topped with crispy garlic flakes and added the most unique flare to the roll. My fiancé and I both talked about how good the flavor was. As for the ramen, we both got spicy level 2 which would be equivalent to a mild Jalapeño so it complimented the dish perfectly. The service was absolutely wonderful and our waiter was super attentive! Can't wait to come back here

Shellfish poke bowl $14

Updated to add their shellfish poke bowl is good but I am disappointed that the bowl is $14 and they only fill it up halfway. Also they did not add a lot of sauce so ask for extra on the side!

Took the WHOLE family here. One of the owners came to our table to check on us personally. Our waiter was the greatest. (Sorry I forgot his name) but was very amazing. No problems at all. One thing I HIGHLY recommend is the fried rice, specifically the crab fried rice. The environment felt very comfortable and it wasn't too dark or too bright. 10 out of 10!!!

I was surprised to find an asian spot in this area. I didn't really have high hopes and they dropped even more as soon as I walked in. This place is such a meme, there were no asians in here and they were playing the most country of country playlist despite the beautiful asian style interior. However the food was not bad! I think if you are looking for high quality sushi this is not the place. They use a lot of cream cheese and ground tuna in their rolls. We got a roll (mike miyagi something), salmon poke bowl and the squid karaage. The squid was surprisingly very good! Poke salmon was solid and the mangos were good but threw me off. The roll was just okay. Relatively fast service!

Anyone know the owner that owned golden spice? I want some sesame chicken!

you can probably get something similar from ohana but it will taste 10x better. I know they have orange chicken but not sure about sesame

Are these the same owners of Golden Spice? What I really want to know is... are they the same egg rolls? Golden Spice egg rolls are my first love and I'm pretty thoroughly devastated that they closed...

I have no idea but, I know the food they have is fresh!

As soon as I walked in, I had a feeling that this was going to be much better than I would expect for a strip mall restaurant. We ordered the pork pot stickers, lamb dry hotpot, and the karage ramen. The pot stickers were perfectly cooked, crispy on the bottom, good chew, and great flavor. The lamb dry hotpot was a kingly meal. The presentation was impressive and the exquisite variety of ingredients made this a meal to remember. The karage ramen was lackluster, I would wager their other ramen options are better. The atmosphere was pretty good and the service was excellent. Overall, if I lived in Waxahachie, I would be a regular here.

It's that type of hole in the wall place that has you knowing it's going to be something. It served a wide variety of Asian dishes from Vietnamese to Japanese to Chinese to Thai, but I wager at its core it's Chinese. We started with the pork potstickers, and they were fantastic. It's hard to find places that cook the outside correctly with crisp on the bottom and chew on top, but Fun did it perfectly. My bf got the lamb dry hot pot, and it looked stellar. He got a lot of food for the money and really enjoyed it. I would recommend if you could handle spice. I tried the Chicken Karaage Ramen, and found it lacking. It tasted like eating pure grease, and though the Karaage was alright, it was weighed down heavily by the broth. The noodles were noticeably homemade, though. Overall, we would recommend coming here.

The space feels intimate and welcoming, the kind of spot where the steam from the bowls fogs up the windows and time slows down just enough to enjoy your meal. The ramen is where Kintaro really shines. The broth is deeply flavored and comforting, rich without feeling heavy, and clearly simmered with care. Every sip feels intentional. The noodles have that perfect bite, springy and substantial, soaking up the broth without going soft. Toppings are generous and well balanced, especially the pork, which is tender and savory and melts into the broth in the best way. What really sells the experience is how everything works together. The warmth of the space, the aroma of the kitchen, and the layered flavors in the bowl create something that feels less like a quick meal and more like a small ritual. It's the kind of place you want to linger, finishing the last drops of broth even when you're already full. Kintaro isn't flashy or overhyped. Not a problem since we enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our drinks. The bartenders were great, fast and very friendly. I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!
