We've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant for years. this place in tiny Ferris, Tx was so Good. Broccoli was cooked just perfect. The breading on the gen chicken was fresh. Not soggy or old oil tasting. Staff was super polite. We were the only ones seated, but their takeout business was bustling. No ambiance but the food and the price were great. steamed rice was perfect. My only complaint was the fried rice that came with the special. It was Very bland and plain, but I noticed on the menu you could add a variety of vegetables or meat to jazz it up. read more

Got one of their plates I chose garlic beef and it came with fried rice, sweet and sour chicken , and an eggroll. I also got an order of the cream cheese wontons lots of cream cheese and fried perfectly. Everything I got was delicious and had flavor and they don't skimp on portions. Food came out quick and I got all this plus a bottled water for $18 definitely left full. Workers were also nice and friendly. read more

It's always a great sign when I'm welcomed by friendly staff. They're taking great measures to keep their customers safe & provide an enjoyable dining experience. The food was hot, fresh, & made to order. The prices were very reasonable with large portions. We had egg drop, egg rolls, cream cheese wontons, garlic chicken, & orange chicken. It was all delicious. I find it especially difficult to find good egg drop soup & egg rolls but these yummy! I look forward to coming back soon. read more

We've been coming here for quite some time and love this place! Friendly staff and great food. Until they opened, we've had to travel to Dallas, Waxahachie, or Red Oak for Chinese food. I got the Vegetarian D'Lite, egg roll and egg drop soup. My husband got the Shrimp with mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh and hot. The egg roll had pork which was a slight put off for me but the pork was not overpowering. And the egg drop soup was very good also. And the snow peas were amazing. Great service, too! I absolutely love this place for Ferris. Good restaurants are hard to come by here and other than La Zacatecana and recently closed Metro Grill, the rest is either not good or gross fast food. Whenever wanting Chinese food, I would either travel to Red Oak or Waxahachie. Star Chinese Cafe is worth the wait time and not only is the food good but the staff is very friendly as well! read more
