The food was good. We ordered the Chris fried rice, it was like a combination rice. It was delish we also got beef and broccoli, it was a tad bit spicy for me, but not too bad. We ordered medium spice with everything, but the beef and broccoli seemed to have a few more peppers in it. I was still able to eat it, but I'll get a lower level of spicy for that one next time. Overall the food was tasty. I'll eat there again. I think it's worth a try, just know what your spice level is. read more

It could be a hit and miss, especially when it comes to the amount of salt last week I ordered Chris fried vegetable rice couldn't even eat it too salty also wings taste like they were dropped back hot grease and taste burnt 24$ wasted read more

I order via DoorDash but their St. Louis Fried Rice hits the spot! I have lived in the DFW for over 20 plus years and I really dislike the fried rice. I was searching and I found the fried rice I needed! It took me back to my days in the Midwest and thank you. The Homemade Cream Wontons were too chewy for me. I have had better. The curry rice and sesame chicken hit the spot! If you are looking for St. Louis style fried rice this is the place! read more

I usually have nothing but good things to say but this last experience was just awful! Not only was I missing 2 containers of rice but there was no chicken in my broccoli and chicken. I mean I love broccoli but I wanted some chicken in there too! They used to be so good, I don't know what's happened in the past few months. Correct this or yall will loose long time clients! read more

First time having them tonight (ordered through DoorDash) everything was so good and hot!!! Will definitely order from them again!

Horrible service. Refused to accommodate a request for LESS beef in an entree due to dietary restrictions. Placed order through DoorDash where the red does not all you to add special requess - you must call, which I did. He argued with me about substituting and said they can't add beef. I'm not asking to add, I'm asking to reduce the meat. He put me on hold multiple times and stalled me until he came back and said the kitchen already made the entree. Absolutely ridiculous. For a $30 order - a simple Request of less beef should not be an issue. Beyond unacceptable. read more

Egg rolls are always on point, however this is the third time I've gone there and gotten burnt food. I'm disappointed and done

Rice House is by far my favorite take out in Glenn Heights. I cook nearly everyday and I treat myself to Rice House almost biweekly or when I'm feeling too lazy to cook. The beef flat noodles are chefs kiss and don't get me started on the Chris Fried Rice and chicken egg rolls. Highly recommend. read more

Great food and generous portions. The staff was friendly and provided fast service. I will definitely return and recommend to others.

1TxGal Posted a review yesterday about our dinner Friday night. The manager responded and offered to remake our dinner. I took him up on it this afternoon. Now that is what we are accustomed to! Tasty, not burnt, yummy! Thank you for making it right with us. We will continue to be customers. read more

The Chris fried rice is really delicious! I got mine with chicken and shrimp only & they were generous on the amount of meat they put in the rice box. I would definitely recommend this place. Plenty of parking in the front. read more

Absolutely the worst at getting orders correct. Both my receipt AND the top of my order specify no carrots. I am allergic to them. Yet my order is chalked FULL of carrots. Their back of house staff continue to get this ABSOLUTELY WRONG! This will be the LAST time ever ordering form this place. They can not process refunds unless you return to the store. Ridiculous. If there was a rating of 0 stars, this would get 0. read more

Food is pretty good, pricey but fair for the amount of food you eat. Only thing.. is my order was incorrect so maybe just working on checking that aspect of it. read more

Some of the best fried rice I've had in a long time. I ordered the combination meat Chris fried rice with no spice. When my food arrived I was a little skeptical, because nothing about what was sitting In front of me looked anything like fried rice. It lacked a lot of color in my opinion.. However, fried or not .. The flavor was everything. There was a nice amount of the different meats (chicken , beef, pork, shrimp, etc ) . I probably could have requested more veggies just because I like veggies, but overall I was satisfied to the Max. I also ordered a large egg drop soup. I'm sure like at other restaurants the soups are pre made so requesting extra eggs in the egg drop soup is unlikely . , I still enjoyed the egg drop soup. I highly recommend this place. I'm not too big on left over foods, especially leftover take out . Only this was pretty good the next day when I ate it for breakfast .. #ChrisFriedRice read more

So ... we heard that this place delivered into parts of Midlothian and judging from the address, we thought perhaps it did to our house. Sure enough - BAM - another option in a somewhat desolate food delivery area! 1st time to try it tonight, we ordered the Chris Fried Rice-Shrimp-Spicy, Lo-Mein-Chicken-Mild, and the Orange Chicken-Mild. Arrived at house about 15minutes prior to the stated time ... took about 25 minutes from order to delivery. Waaaay cool. Food was great! The Chris Fried Rice really is excellent, good value and was delivered hot. The noodle expert in the family pronounced the Lo-Mein was spot on and the Orange Chicken lover - loved it. Like indicated, this was our 1st time and it was for delivery. I think our next time we will go to the restaurant so we can see the atmosphere, cleanliness etc. Plus perhaps see some of the appetizer options - the pot stickers and wings sound good - as do the cream cheese filled wontons. read more

Best!!!!!!Chris Fried Rice!!!!! Highly recommend this rice!!!! It's fresh and hot every time

Forgetting orders in Door Dash bags, and do not want to fix it! Your customer service is horrible.

The Glenn Heights location USED to be my favorite place to get fried rice but not anymore. The last 3 visits over the last 3-4 months have been terrible. I even called to complain about the rice. The rice is so over cooked, it's very very smushy...It wasn't like this in the past. I'm not sure if it's a new cook or a new way of cooking the rice or is it all thogether new because of the name change..Rice Box to Rice House. Whatever caused this change, t's a NO for my family & I. We may try the other location... read more

I was really surprised with this place. Their special fried rice is the best, hands down! Egg rolls are good as are the spring rolls. Its easy to miss, just a small store front in a small strip mall but well worth finding and ordering. I'll be back. read more

Call this place ahead of time and you will find they have increased the prices exponentially. I just called to order shrimp fried rice w extra shrimp. I ordered $1 worth soy sauce packets. They only give one soy sauce packet per order. The grand total was $18+! I had to ask the guy to repeat himself. That's a $6 increase! I cancelled and wont order there again. read more

BEWARE - FRAUDULENT CHARGES Came here often until I received fraudulent charges on my card. After disputing it with my bank I called the establishment multiple times before I was able to get ahold of a manager. Once I got ahold of them, they were nonchalant and denying it; I didn't want anything free, I was notifying them about the charges placed on my card. Manager didn't care about the charges nor the loss of business. read more

I tried the chicken and broccoli. Sauce too dark and salty tasting. Almost a teriyaki flavor. I don't like teriyaki sauce or salty foods. I will try another dish if I go back again. Very Good Rice Box... Very good! I am so happy this place is here and judging by the hype, atmosphere when you go in the store and my tummy... they will be here for a long time. We ordered the following; Chris fried rice shrimp mild Chris fried rice ck mild Sesame ck General tso ck Pork egg rolls The chris fried rice is the way to go. The hype is real people this rice is tha bomb. I love cabbage and is delicious in this fried rice. Full of flavors and big cuts of all ingredients that really stand out. No like other places where you can count the veggies in your fried rice. Here... they are in your face like bam! The ck fried rice was fantastic as well. They are a great meal by itself but ofcourse we needed to try all our favorites so let's chat about the other stuff. Egg rolls... nice flavors and delicious. Sesame ck yum yum sweet and tangy and general tso was good also. Both made with big chunks of ck and they look and taste fresh too. Food was hot, fresh and full of flavor. Walking in to this spot was a joy. I guess because of no so many options to eat around here. I am happy. My husband is happy that I am happy. We love Chinese food and this place is what we needed in the hood. I will try everything else in the menu. Oh by the way they are good sauce people too. Sauces everywhere for you to add to your meal. Good size helpings of it enough to share with your peeps. Friendly people behind the counter and overall a good experience. Glad they are here. Great Fresh food!! Omg I pig out every time lol.. Chris fried rice , lo mein and Orange chicken is the best!

Rice Box is losing their touch. I ordered the egg drop soup & it was soooo salty I couldn't eat it. I called Rice Box and the guy who answered. He didn't offer anything to me. I gave a big tip for the delivery. He just say "sorry" and blamed it on different morning cooks. I won't be returning to buy their food. I normally order the Chris Rice and the meat is half cooked and we have cook it over. I had to give a review as a warning for people who have high blood pressure. read more
