The dish, overall was a huge disappointment. The chicken lo mein was also a letdown, as it had an underlying sweetness that I've never experienced with this dish. Two bites were taken and it (along with the chicken) ended up in the hotel trash can. A couple of positives: I enjoyed the hot & sour soup, and the egg rolls tasted as if they were rolled in-house, which is a rarity these days. I live a few hundred miles down the road and don't get to downtown Dallas very often, so the odds of me patronizing this place again is already slim. But, in the event I find myself here in the future, I will avoid this restaurant.

This is the best Chinese currently in Dallas. Please do not take this statement lightly, I am Chinese and have eaten a lot of Chinese and will continue to do so. If you have similar tastes in food then you will most definitely agree with me. Hands down the best egg rolls I have ever tasted. They are hand made, not frozen and just thrown into a deep fry like 99 percent of the other take out chinese restaurants. I had the Orange Chicken, a really nice update on the traditional chicken dish which is usually tough, overfried chewy hunks of unrecognizable chicken in a gloppy sauce. This was all white breast meat with very little batter, flash fried and served with a very nice sauce. Awesome! Only downside is the restaurant is located in Oak Cliff (the ghetto) which is in the south part of Dallas. read more

I've been a faithful customer of Chinese Kitchen for a number of years and will remain that way as long as they continue to serve up quick, inexpensive, delicious food. Since I work for DirectTV, I eat lunch at different locations daily and I have been to many Chinese restaurants and Chinese Kitchen is by far the best one.
