My husband said this place has been around for years, so we tried it. Lacked in flavor in the chicken fried rice, orange chicken was way too sweet and my husband liked his combination fried rice. Online pick up with Uber eats. The worst shrimp fried rice I ever had. No flavor and small portions. I added eggs and no eggs in my fried rice. The food was fresh but I spent $20 on trash food. The wings were fresh but small. Also it's individual wings not a while wing like most places which is fine but over priced. Their over priced for the portions and the food have no flavor. I asked for certain sauces and did I get them.... ? No. I asked extra sauce and paid, didn't get it. No wonder I was the only person there. It was just a bad over all experience. This is one of the better Chinese takeout restaurants I've ordered in Dallas. The menu is priced perfectly! The portions, the food, the flavor, it's all there! I can go on about the egg rolls, the won ton chip in the lunch specials, every plate. Seems like I've had at least one of everything on the menu over the last 4 years I've visited. We were in the area so I went on Yelp to find the best Chinese Food in the area. We decided to eat there. I got the pork fried rice with an egg roll. My best friend ordered the combination fried rice & egg roll. The fried rice was ok but not the best. They gave us enough for two meals. The egg roll was ok but I have had better. Today I had a taste for pork fried rice and since my experience was ok, I decided to give them another chance. When I got home and took a bite of my food it was horrible. This has got to be by far the worst pork fried rice I have ever tasted. The rice was not fresh at all. To me the taste was like left over rice cooked with pork. Absolutely no flavor. This is a serious hole in the wall place but SO WORTH IT!!! The hot and sour soup was full of goodies; not just a broth with a few vegetables. It was homemade in every way. Took a minute to get use to but seriously good. My mangolian beef was in a sweeter sauce than what I usually get but was equally wonderful. Egg rolls are homemade and yummy. Seriously, some of the very best Chinese food we've ever eaten. Plus the owner and her son gave excellent customer service. Lots of people came in for take-out while we were there. I asked for my lomein without bean sprouts and beef to be cooked longer and paid for a side of fried rice. Well I received the lomein with bean sprouts and meat undercooked. I wish they would let you make your own combination plate so that you can enjoy both things and not have to settle for just one thing or something you don't really want. Also the chili paste at the tables was so dark it made me wonder if it was expired. This place has a been a staple of Oak Cliff almost as long as I've been born. My grandparents ordered food from here for years and now I buy food from them as well. I LOVE their egg rolls. To this day, I still have yet to find somebody else who makes those egg rolls like that with the thin crust on them. However, the food is not quite as good as it used to be (possibly different cooks) but it doesn't necessarily stop me from buying food from them. I just know what to buy and what not to buy.
