Family talked me into trying this place out for Mother's Day I wish to God I had of follow my first mind instead of driving all the way across town to try this place out. First off the they have all you can eat snow crab. The first thing I'm told by my brothers gf Is the people that work there keep giving her kids nasty looks everytime they go up to the buffet to get snow crab. I requested a special butter or oil they make but they intentionally kept being me the wrong thing. As the kids went to get more crab legs the wait came back and slammed my drinks down on the table as if he was frustrated his kids were getting more crab. As we attempted to ask for refills he just walked off in the middle of us talking to him. Another person that was dinning with us tried to get his attention 3 times he just ignored him and kept going. Then about 15 minutes after I arrived he stood in front of my table asking okay is this all one ticket? I'm looking crazy like what is he doing here? I politely told the man we were not ready for the ticket, about 5 minutes later he returned and gave the ticket to another family member. When he brought the ticket he took it upon himself to tip himself $10. After the service I received I told him I don't think so! Then he says he's going to get the manager, I told him cool. He comes back with the manager and he starts asking me why didn't I ask for him? I told him that I didn't feel like going through the trouble ( I know how to just don't come back when the service is horrible)! He tells me that everythings good because he been working for him for 3 yrs, I tell him that it don't matter if he been working for you for 25yrs bad service is bad service. Just because he work for you 3 yrs that doesn't make the service good! I then told him about all the bad service the waiter provided HE DIDN'T CARE. He kept trying to insist we tip the waiter, I asked him again why would I tip for bad service? The manager reluctantly agreed to remove the tip and then made the statement that he would pay the waiter himself. After paying the bill the waiter walks over and gives my brothers gf a trinket for Mother's Day as if he was trying to rub it in my face. So she told me there's a sign up saying all the mother's are supposed to get one. I ask them to check on that on the way out, they came back and told me they told them "No Tip, No Gift". ....not to mention the food was mediocre for 18.00, needless to say I will never return to this place EVER! I have been to Bamboo Palace so much, I literally lived by hear and worked by it. The lever is really cool and isn't strict on the to go buffet. I usually go to the buffet at 5, it's about $8 a pound and it costs me $15 total. I'll get food for me and my daughter and it'll be so good. They simply just aren't the same since having to make changes after and due to the pandemic. It's a hit or miss thing with them now days . Some days you'll get some really good food , and then there's other days where you regret eating there. Theres A few things that they use to offer (one example being the steamed crab legs) that they are no longer offer, their fried salt and pepper shrimp are soooo much smaller these days. Lack of items or quality but they increased the admission. Currently this restaurant is still serving everything on Togo/paper plates. Which I'm sure that helps with disposing food . They usually have really really good fried soft shell crabs , only this time I'm assuming they were spoiled because they had a strong ammonia smell and taste to them. We decided on getting an all you can eat Togo order , where basically you stuff your plate/s up with all the food you want and then they weigh it to determine your price . We left with 4 large plates Togo and a small cup of of egg drop soup , which came to a total of $56. Again, it's really a hit or miss type of place . It's really hard to give a fair review because I've been a regular at this establishment for over 11 years now , but again the food and even the service isn't the same any more . The food is delicious and it's all a reasonable price (two people for a lunch dine in was $21) If you've never been here I do recommend coming more around dinner than lunch because there's more food options. Friday- August2, 2024 PART#1: My family, a-party-of-three, arrived for dinner, with coupons; one of the individuals was a family member that was visiting from another state; the problem started immediately, when the (short) male cashier, wearing thick black-rimmed glasses, indicated that more than one coupon couldn't be used within the party; the cashier had to be quickly made aware that one person, with a ( 10%-off-coupon), was visiting from another state, and the other coupon was for the other two, in the party- that (1) coupon indicated- (one meal at regular price, with two beverages/a second meal for half-off). Quick history, two individuals in the party, has been to this establishment, in the recent past, one of the first times, the food was cold, and inedible, which was made known to a female staff member, who at the time, was courteous, so a few subsequent visits were made; however, we noticed that a particular female waitress behaved extremely indifferent towards us, (i.e) no greetings during the visits, as well as, she never made inquiry, as to how things were going/if we needed anything/saw our plates that were pushed to the edge of the table, but repeatedly ignored us, and marched right by them- this foul behavior occurred more than one subsequent visit, when seated in her section; this display of pathetic customer service, couldn't be personal, because she doesn't know us; however, in situations such as this, it's instructive to presume that the foul behavior is racially-motivated; fast-forward/back to the incident that occurred 8-2-24, with the male cashier; when my party approached the register, we knew that the out-of-state-visitor's receipt was itemized, with specificity; however, regarding the second coupon, we were handed two-separate receipts, and we wondered about the ambiguity, so inquiry was made, previously, with a waiter, who had very broken english/appeared to be confused about the questions; after this matter was explained to the male cashier, he said that the amount was correct, and he noticed that one of the individuals took out a calculator, and he blew-his-stack, and immediately, with excessive insolence, started stating "YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME "/"YOU COME HERE ALL THE TIME"; ** which , we've only been there, approximately five times- spread-out, over numerous months apart; **centuries-past, a certain demographic was forbidden to learn to read, so here this person is, exhibiting that dark-centuries-old-mindset, that a certain demographic doesn't have the right to count/check him or his mathematical-accuracy; I believe that he maliciously split the second ticket into two, which should have only been one, because he was all-too-ready, to commence his verbal/ other tirade; he completely disregarded that we were repeat customers, and blatantly disrespected us, openly, in the presence of the other patrons....., what a display of bad business. This insolent male cashier has exhibited nasty behavior, in the past, however, this incident needed to be handled, so it was, but with tact and diplomacy; he was told to never speak to persons, who patronize that establishment, in the manner in which he attempted to castigate us; and that it was our inalienable-right, to check his math; he was also told that we are educated people, that he doesn't know who we are, and that he never knows, who he's offending; also, he was told that he was an embarrassment, in the presence of our out of state family member, and that he should be ashamed of himself; he apologized, however he was reminded again, to never speak to us that way! because of his nefarious behavior against us, in the past, he was directly asked, if he was a racist ....., he didn't answer!! It's more than obvious, what his, and the waitress, that was mentioned above, problems are; he displayed such a gross-err of superiority, and tried to vilify us, for inquiring about the double-receipts; perhaps he's been taught that a certain demographic in humanity, either cannot do basic-arithmetic, and/or doesn't have the right/liberty to question his math, to get clarification as to why he split the second coupon, into two separate receipts, when he was informed up-front, that only the visitor was separate/ the restaurant receipt was self-explanatory, and he should have had the good common-business sense, to itemize the second (1)receipt, with the same specificity, that he did with the visitor's receipt; his loud antagonism, and lack of professionalism, which is a gross-understatement, was completely uncalled for!! It's more than obvious, why he didn't answer, when he was questioned as to whether he was a racist...even that silence, answered with a crescendo!! He needs to be reported to the owner of the establishment. read more

A friend suggested this place for an early dinner. The buffet has lots of variety and the food was fresh and inviting with no signs of old or stale items since the food was replenished regularly. I was too busy eating to take pictures. The venue was clean and staff was available to replenish drinks and provide napkins etc. I would definitely go back. read more

I really enjoy dining here! The first time I had ate here everything was looking delicious and ready to be eaten, I quickly began to see the different food items from amazing Coconut shrimp to decked out oysters which was only my second time but I enjoyed with lemon and string green beans. Also I would like to mention that here they very good costumer friendly service being quick with refills and keeping the food hot and ready for those dining and walking in !
