Combination lo Mein, shrimp fried rice , broccoli and beef & egg drop soup
    Myesha M.

I've been coming for years . On top of the fact that they tend to be just a little bit cheaper to other restaurants that serve a lot what they serve , they have the BEST egg drop soup. We placed an order for Togo, everything was nicely packaged, and fresh and hot when we got home. This will forever be a Go to for us when we want some fresh and authentic Chinese food . I highly recommend this place/location .

    Gravy for egg foo jung???

This is the Worst Chinese food I've ever seen or tasted! My husband and I decided to try a new place so we went in and despite my better judgment by just looking at the interior of the place, we went ahead and ordered combination fried rice and shrimp egg foo jungle. Both was horrible, no seasoning and the gravy for the egg foo jungle was a greasy, nasty, tasteless mess! NEVER AGAIN! Oh yeah, and no public bathrooms which is against the law!

Mongolian beef, beef was tender and tasty. The dish had just the right amount of spice. The onions paired well giving the dish a great crunch factor. Would definitely recommend to support this local restaurant. Beef & Broccoli, this was picky daughter approved. Again the beef was tender & the broccoli was cooked perfect.

    Four Seasons with "brown sauce?"
    Ollie M.

What remained of the "Four Seasons" dish with "brown sauce". More like puddle of oil. Not even "hot oil". Removed food from tray to drip drain this "goop" from food. Flavor 5/10. Was hungry. Disappointing. Also got small order of Special Lo Mien. NOTHING SPECIAL ABIUT IT. Also disappointing. Not missing anything. $24 later & a side of white rice. The only thing they didn't mess up. Can you say RIPP-OFF?!?

The front disk where you order the food.

Food is always amazing and is generally ready when they say it will be. I've been ordering here for years and never disappointed.

They canceled my Uber Eats order after waiting an hour. If they can't fulfill an order, they shouldn't accept it. ‍

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

We ate egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and soup, followed up by orange beef and beef fried rice. The crab Rangoon could have used more stuffings, but what was there was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the orange beef. The tenderness of the beef and the taste of the sauce was on point. Definitely don't pass on this one if you are craving Chinese food. Note: they do serve peanuts before the meal, so watch for that with allergies!

The people are the exact same. It was truly a feeling of nostalgia that's hard to describe. My favorite dish has always been, and still is, the bamboo shoots with pork. It is so fragrant, umami, and simply delicious. The west lake soup is also a classic done so well - pro tip to add white pepper to give it a little kick. The steamed pork belly was okay - sauce is flavorful (a touch salty) along with the preserved greens but the pork wasn't as tender as I had remembered it. The fish filets are fried to perfection, full of salt/pepper flavor, and pairs well with the jalapeños. If you don't like fish, you can get the same flavor with the pork version of this dish, which I also really like. The service can be a little slow because it's just 1 chef and 1 waitress who own the restaurant - same people that have run the show since I first came here probably almost 30 years ago! Incredible to see them still working so hard and serving delicious food. They'll never know how much their restaurant and food means to me!

**This review is based on a Sunday evening to-go order.**…read more While these folks were polite on the phone and in-person -- and the restaurant was bright and clean when I came in to pick up my order -- I cannot recommend this place. First, I ordered the Chinese Fried Chicken (half), which is supposed to be brined in soy and hoisin, then deep fried in a light batter. This chicken was no more brined than a rock in the desert, and it was just as dry, even the dark meat pieces. The steamed rice was fine, as was the beautiful bok choy. The dish, overall was a huge disappointment. The chicken lo mein was also a letdown, as it had an underlying sweetness that I've never experienced with this dish. Two bites were taken and it (along with the chicken) ended up in the hotel trash can. A couple of positives: I enjoyed the hot & sour soup, and the egg rolls tasted as if they were rolled in-house, which is a rarity these days. I live a few hundred miles down the road and don't get to downtown Dallas very often, so the odds of me patronizing this place again is already slim. But, in the event I find myself here in the future, I will avoid this restaurant.
