I really hate writing negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience. When my pho was served, I noticed visible bugs on the fresh basil plate. As uncomfortable as it was, I politely pointed it out to the staff. They took the plate back but then returned with the exact same herbs, bugs still on them. Nothing had been replaced or addressed. After that, the atmosphere shifted and the staff acted noticeably uncomfortable, which made the situation even more awkward. To make matters worse, I later learned from someone who previously worked there that unused pho vegetables from other tables are reportedly reused. Whether that practice is consistent or not, combined with what I personally experienced, it raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. I can't in good conscience return, and I hope the restaurant takes these issues seriously. Cleanliness and proper food handling are non-negotiable. read more

I visited Pho One Sushi in Cedar Hill, TX and had a mixed experience. I ordered a deep-fried sushi roll. The fish itself tasted fresh, but the batter wasn't fully cooked, leaving the inside gummy, including the rice. It was just okay overall and not what I was expecting from a fried roll. On a more positive note, the ramen was hot, fresh, and flavorful. That dish was definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the restroom situation really took away from the experience. There was old, crusted yellow urine on the back of the toilet seats, and the soap dispenser was missing its spout, making it difficult to wash hands properly. Cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, is very important and needs immediate attention. With better consistency in food preparation and improved cleanliness, this place could be much better. read more

So I was just in the area and googled a good place for sushi. A few other places came up, but this one had some pretty good reviews. I was not disappointed. My friend and I got a couple things to share. We got the JB roll that was deep fried. It was salmon, with eel sauce and a little spicy mayo. So Yummy. We also got egg rolls and wonton soup. I wanted miso soup, but they did not have it. Let me tell you I was very pleased with the wonton soup. I ordered one too go as well. I can't wait to go back and try the Pho. read more

First time customer here and I am so pleased with the veggie and tofu pho. Pho isn't good unless the broth is made right. They got it right! I ordered to go and I was happy with how the toppings were packaged. It also came with everything I needed to increase the spice and other seasonings. The food wasn't the greatest, but my main concern is the fact that there was a roach code on my leg and the server have the nerve to say that it's that time of year when in reality the type of roach that was crawling is a house indoor roach, so this is based off of cleanliness. The food here is pretty good, I got the combination pad Thai (chicken, beef, and shrimp) it was good. The flavor was really great and it wasn't too spicy. My only critique would be that the protein was really chewy, like it had been overcooked or something. The shrimp spring rolls were tasty. The prices are pretty high, I guess everything is in this economy lol. But I'll definitely be back to try more items off the menu. read more

I shouldn't have gone in after seeing the noticeable dark stain around the front door entrance. There was a lady at the front barely spoke English. I asked for a chicken pho to go with fresh ginger. Wanted a warming soup so I came here to try their pho and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered their egg rolls which were fried crispy and came out hot. The fish dipping sauce really set the egg rolls off. I would definitely order them again. For the pho, I chose the shrimp pho (medium). The pho came out with all of the side fixings (cilantro, basil, and bean sprouts) and I added extra sliced onions. The broth was delicious, noodles cooked perfectly, and the shrimp was not overcooked. Next time, I will try the seafood pho (a various collection of seafood). It was not great. The pho was bland. My husband got the beef pho and I got the chicken pho. We each got a roll-- the the seaweed was so tough you could barely chew through it. Worst sushi I've ever had. Kroger sushi is better than this. We each had a boba tea and that was the best of the whole meal. Save yourself and don't come here. Tucked away spot with really good Vietnamese food. When I come to town, my dad likes to go here so we go. I've had the vermicelli and combination pho and both are so good. I hate being so negative in a review but this place was not it at all. I wanted pho and wanted to try a new spot so we decided to go to Pho One Sushi. The name intrigued me, knowing sushi would be served as well. When first walking in there was a man who didn't greet my mom and I and just pointed to a table. We then got a young girl that helped us order, she was very nice but I didn't really see her again. I placed an appetizer order with her, the crispy rice spicy tuna, which I absolutely love and got excited when I saw it on the menu. I saw they also had boba and Thai tea and I couldn't pass. My mom got the chicken rice plate. The server asked if we wanted plates since we were sharing, which was a nice gesture. He came back with our share plates for them just to be dirty... I received my boba and crispy rice spicy tuna. The boba was terrible (the texture was off), but the thai tea was decent. Then they brought me a spicy tuna roll, just wasn't what I ordered so I sent it back and got no apology. The chicken plate got to the table and it looked tasty. The chicken was good but it was covered in oil. It was pretty gross just to look at. I still ate it and decided not to complain. Finally the crispy rice spicy tuna arrived and it was just tempura rice. Definitely not what I expected but I tried it. It was bad, I actually liked it but not worth the price at all. $12 for 3, I can get better quality and more quantity and pay the same at a sushi restaurant. The food was overall over priced for the quality. Boba was $7.50, I don't think I've ever paid that much for a boba drink. $15 for a below average chicken plate. SPOILED VEGETABLES AND RUDE SERVICE!!!!!! I have come here multiple times and every time has been either okay or disgusting. What keeps me coming back? It's the only pho restaurant in this area. I sometimes order the shrimp spring rolls and 9 times out of 10, the lettuce tastes sour. I ordered them again today, just to give them another chance, and the lettuce was so sour I nearly spat it out. At the end of my meal, I asked if the spring rolls could be taken off my check because I didn't eat them due to the lettuce being spoiled. The lady at the front quickly responded telling me that they don't return food and showed me where on the menu it says "Food no return". However, I was not trying to return the food back to the kitchen because I didn't like it, I was trying to refund it because the vegetables were sour. I told the woman this three separate times and most of her responses were "Mhm, mhm" and repetitively telling me that food cannot be *returned*, which again, I was not trying to do. May I also add, something is off with their boba and drinks. I do not know what, but something is off. I have tried to give this disappointment of a restaurant multiple chances, but I see I had to learn the hard way. This will be my LAST time here. Just horrible. read more

Well, we did not enjoy the sushi rolls! The spicy tuna was so thin and lack any spice that we didn't really know what it was and rainbow rolls were a mixed up plate of the typical roll. It was maybe deconstructed or something but the roll was a stick of imitation crab and a bit of avocado. There was an effort but for the price nothing met a good basic standard. The edamame was over steamed or boiled so much so that we did not even eat it. It was completely mushy. We did not enjoy anything about the experience. Wow! I never write a poor review but OMG! Beginning to end I could not wait to get out of there. Brought the wrong spring rolls, told me they had soy and rice paper. (I HATE seaweed paper and would have ordered something different) Sushi came out in seaweed paper so I dismantled the roll and ate the inside. All the while the cashier and a worker were loudly arguing about money at the register. Awkward!!! Super excited to have this pho restaurant in my area now . I typically have to go further out (Arlington or Irving to cater to my pho craving). I was familiar with particular place when it was a Chinese restaurant called Tons , only I was far from a fan with the service and quality of the food. An even bigger plus , was seeing a familiar face here as well. There's a very sweet and attentive women that use to serve me when I would occasionally go to a restaurant in Duncanville that served similar foods. Only quality as well as service at this particular restaurant In Duncanville was very mediocre, and was literally a place I would only visit when I was too tired or even lazy to drive further out. Pho one sushi is very detailed with decorations and elegant looking in the side. It literally looks like a place where a wedding ceremony would be held. It's so well decorated, that one may feel like they can't afford what this restaurant has to offer just by it's physical presence. However, menu prices are very reasonable/comparable to other restaurants serving the same foods. I ordered a few things (*fried egg rolls , shrimp spring rolls , and the seafood TomYum). All were delicious, only my egg rolls were somewhat cold for them to have been freshly fried and delivered. The shrimp spring rolls were yummy but had a strong fishy smell , TomYum soup is a hot and sour type of soup, only at this location it lacked spices. The flavor was decent , pretty heavy on the sour taste which I believe is lemongrass. Which I didn't mind at all. But If having to give a level of spiciness, with 1 being no spice and 5 being very spicy. Id honestly would have to rate this soup a 1 or 2. There was no spice /heat at all and that was disappointing. I added some of the pepper chili oil that was present on the table and a little Sriracha hot sauce and doing so altered the taste of the soup and not in a good way. I thought to order a Boba tea for $7 , only I became hesitant because $7 is a lot for a drink and I was scared that I would be disappointed, so I decided not to. It's a fairly new restaurant, and I know that with continuous business/activity the minor things that I mentioned will be corrected with time. Overall , I am excited about the placement of this restaurant in this growing area And I planned to become a regular. I'll learn the wonderful servers name so that I can properly mentioned her in future post and for anyone who plans to visit they'll know who to look for. OMG, this place was a ghost town. Got the beef pho to go. Never had it looked or smell as it did. The broth had a ridiculous scent, some oil or spice. So strong. Broth was incredibly oily like they had poured oil on top and it was dividing from the actual water part of the broth. The sprouts needed to be fresh as they were on the slightly brown tone and had a smell. The spring rolls were flavorless with one shrimp per roll. Wish the rolls had some mint or cucumber. Sad thick sauce for dipping. Also host was no help in ordering drinks, seems she did not recommend any as the smoothies were not too good. Won't be coming. Large pho and two rolls for $22.
