Lobster Volcano Special Roll

Some of the best sushi that I've had in the Cedar Hill area. I normally have to venture to Mansfield or somewhere in North Dallas to get good sushi. The service was good and the dining room was not loud or had a bunch of kids lacking noise. Will definitely be back.

My Sister requested Sushi one day for lunch, we were out and about running errands and saw BN Sushi & Grill; the time of day we went there was no crowd. We were seated promptly with menus. The place is cozy with a couple of TV. The food was delicious, we will definitely be back.

Decided I wanted sushi for dinner and ordered from this location. When placing an order over the phone the employee was not helpful when asked questions about their sushi rolls leaving me to quickly decide on the Dragon Roll. The roll itself was not good at all. It was made hastily and fell apart while eating. Coupled along with the terrible customer service (even when picking up the food) I won't return to this sushi restaurant.

Alaskan was so nasty and they would not let me change order so I won't be going back there ever again.

Alaskan was not good and people were rude when I said it was nasty so I won't be back

Uhhhh...... why is there glass in my sushi is a sentence I never thought I'd have to say. This coulda been serious, but literally the first bite I took into my salmon roll I felt a crunch and stopped... I was like... wait is there a bone in here? Nope.. it's not plastic either, it's glass. Maybe glass got into the rice cause that's what the glass was covered in... all in all, if you don't want cuts in your mouth or down your throat and intestines/stomach, maybe find another place. I called them and they were nice and apologized and gave me a refund, but well... there was glass in my sushi so I gotta leave this here for other people's safety.

The sushi was great here. The service kinda lacking but it may be them trying to recover from Covid and not having enough staff. They are "checking temperatures" but the guy with the thermometer wasn't even looking at the temps most of the time. I don't know, the guy greeting people upon entry was rather lacking in personality or manners. They had a busy dinner crowd so it took a little bit for our waitress to catch up and get our order, and then it looked like an owner or someone came in to help get food to tables. Overall great place to get some great sushi. Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. They were spacing tables so we were social distancing. Check it out!

Everyone is so pleasant! I really enjoy the modern Asian decor and lighting inside. Every time I come I'm greeted right away and served. They offer both booths and tables for dining in as well as the take out option. There's a nice sushi menu with a plethora of options to choose from. Everything is freshly made and served in a enticingly delicious visual manner. They have a small bar (seats 4-6) and offer a nice selection of liquor and beer. I recommend trying the chicken roll for those that aren't really "in to sushi " and the shrimp tempura roll for the shrimp lovers.

This will definitely be a new regular place to come to for me and my family :)) Its hard to find good sushi around here, but this place hit the spot. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls and had some of the miso soup, along with edamame and tempura shrimp/veggies as our appetizer. So good! Our server was also very kind and helpful even though they were clearly busy. Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Very displeased with the food on this visit. Have been ordering here for a couple of years now and this is the first time I've had a bad experience with my food and service. Stopped in for lunch and ordered a spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll along with a few others and nothing tasted fresh. The salmon and tuna was not tasteful at all. When we sent it back we were then told that because of the added sesame seeds that we would be charged for the full meal (mind you, we did not eat any of it). When asked if this was listed anywhere, I was told that this expectation was not listed on the menu and the current menu is being updated as we were told that prices were also increasing. Just a heads up to whom ever reads this, if you place an order and add any "customization" to your meal and it's not to your liking, you will still be charged for the full meal, regardless if you want to return it on not.

I don't remember the name. But it was different and delicious.

This restaurant has the potential to be an amazing establishment, but they have to get the inside smell under control. When you walk in the restaurant it smells like mildew pipes. Which makes me never want to eat in there. That's why I always get it to go. However, The food is always fresh. The customer service is very good. The prices increased but that's not surprising.

The view from my little corner table booth.

It's strange when one of your favorite places closes and reopens with virtually everyone still there except the original owners. The restaurant is BN Sushi and Grill, now, but the menu is pretty much the same, although revised and improved and so is the food. We don't make too many menu departures off the beaten path of our favorites. I nearly always order the Lunch Special Sashimi Bento Box. (Tuna, Salmon and White tuna with 4 piece California roll, salad, 2 Crab Rangoon, plain white rice, miso soup and an orange). My husband loves the giant bowl of Tom Kha Gai or the Thai Green Curry. We usually share a well stuffed spicy tuna roll. Occasionally we'll spring for Tempura. It all makes us happy. The service is fine. The sushi chef is doing a beautiful job. They still have moderate pricing and are always friendly. We still love this place.

Ask the Community - BN Sushi & Grill

Do they still have the lunch menu like before? Or did all of their menu/prices change?

While there have been some small changes to the menu as a whole, we do still have the same lunch specials available.

I know they have a bar, but does any one know if there is a happy hour?

The staff were friendly and always had a smile. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen with soy broth, pork belly, scallions, bamboo, diced onions, and an egg. The broth was the star for me. It had this deep, savory flavor with a little sweetness underneath, almost like the soy had been cooked down into something richer. Warm, comforting, and full of umami without tasting too salty. Every sip had that roasted, almost earthy depth that made me want to keep drinking it. The pork belly was ridiculously tender. Soft, juicy, and rich, with just enough fat to make it melt in my mouth. The egg was creamy and silky in the middle, and the bamboo and onions added some crunch and freshness to break everything up. Simple, warm, and really satisfying. This was exactly what I wanted from a bowl of ramen.

Instead, one came sickeningly sweet with an unlisted cinnamon syrup, and the other still had a strong cinnamon taste. When we questioned this, the server casually mentioned the cinnamon syrup--something not disclosed on the menu. I had to specifically ask her to take one back rather than her responding promptly. Next, they brought our sushi rolls, but no plates, no soy sauce, and not even dishes for dipping. We had to ask for all those basics. I specifically chose two rolls without cream cheese--because I don't want cream cheese in my sushi--and yet one still had it. The server's response was to chat with a manager but not to offer any solution, compensation, or correction. Overall, if a menu lists certain ingredients, that's what should arrive. Adding things like cinnamon in a drink or cream cheese in a roll--especially when people might have dietary needs--is careless. They need to be more attentive to both the menu and the customer's feedback.

The lunch comes with egg roll & soup (if you dine in; plus, you can…read moreget those fried won ton chips to put in the soups- delicious) and the portion is good for the price (around $6). The dinner only comes with rice, but the entrée portion is about 2x that of the lunch. Everything is cooked after you order (except egg rolls & the egg drop/ hot & sour soups- sometimes they are made ahead of time). Love almost every item on the menu. The sushis are a bit expensive in my opinion. I love veggies, so I like that a lot of their dishes have a good amount of veggies in them, but if you only eat meat, these are good: General Tso's chicken Sweet & sour chicken or pork Orange chicken Just FYI- the free fried rice that comes with the entrees is not really fried rice- it only has a tiny bit of eggs & soy sauce. So don't think you shouldn't get the fried rice entrée b/c that will be real fried rice. If you want to be healthier, you can request brown rice & they'll only charge a bit extra for it. Also, someone complained about the credit card charges- that's happened to me before, but I called my bank to complain & they said that Moon Wok didn't charge me extra, it's that the banks sometimes place a hold on the card with the extra amount (I'm not sure why the heck they do that), but that the charges are PENDING, so when the charges FINALIZE, it'll be the correct amount. This has happened to me at several retail places, too, so don't freak out unless the amount is higher when it's FINALIZED. Delivery is usually really quick, but when they are really busy, then it can take a bit of time. The décor consists of a few lanterns & TVs (you can request them to change the channel & they are usually nice about it) so you don't really want to eat here for the atmosphere. For the price & the quality of the food, you can't get better than Moon Wok in Cedar Hill. I'd recommend giving it a try.

I haven't been here in at least 3 years, so I didn't know that other reviews had mentioned hair in the food. Anyways, I prayed over my food several times (thank you Jesus), then inspected it thoroughly. With that being said, it tasted okay, not great, and for the price, it's not worth it. Also, the restaurant was EMPTY at 6:30 pm, like 3 people dining-in, which should tell you that something is not right. However, there were 100 people at Cici's next door. I don't want to give this place a bad rating, but there are several reviews about hair being in the food on Yelp and Google. I would find a better place to get Chinese food, although the best Chinese spots are in North Dallas in my opinion.

I was pumped because not many places around Mansfield/Arlington seem to offer it and it really enhanced the experience of sushi. Unfortunately, I paid 1.99 for the fresh wasabi and received the regular wasabi paste.. which was fine, but usually that's standard at sushi places and not extra. I really was set to enjoy the rougher cut wasabi. Otherwise, I did order two California rolls for my kid and I, garlic Cajun edamame, pork gyoza and another roll (it had shrimp tempura and eel, but I can't remember the name). It was my first time trying the eel roll and I thought it was good. The California rolls were solid and my son enjoyed the gyoza potstickers. We came in on a Saturday around 3pm and the place was totally empty, but the staff was very nice and courteous when we entered to pick up our order. It took no time to put together and we enjoyed our sushi at home minus the fresh wasabi. It was also very clean in there. The quest is still on to find a place with the wasabi, but this was a nice place to stop! Thank you to the staff for the kindness.
