Stopped in about 5pm to have an early dinner. We have been here before and the food was great and good service. However this time, the service was bad (neglectful) and the food was not right. Every thing from the medium cold food to having to get up from our table and find someone to get the help we needed and get what we ordered. The manager was oblivious to anything going on around him, he seemed to be more interested in "talking" to the hostesses. I watched as he did not great anyone just talked and joked around. I really don't care about that but when someone can't do their job and make sure the servers under them do their job then I have a problem when I am paying for a product and service. read more

Worse service ever. They were more concerned about cleaning the place then waiting on the customers. Food was slow to come. One member of our party never waited an additional 20 minutes for his food. Waiter never came around to refill our drinks. Finally called the manager over, he did not charge for one of the meals but never offered an apology. I did file a complaint online. Have been going to this restaurant since it opened. But never again. They just lost a customer for good. read more

Tonight was my first time trying cotton patch cafe..and it will be my last. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and rice. My chicken wasn't done all the way. The mashed potatoes tasted like something out of a box and the rice was bland..I'm very disappointed. If you're seeking comfort food look elsewhere. read more

Chicken fried steak with no gravy. I'm pissed. My order from a few weeks ago never arrived and I still haven't gotten a refund for it and tonight I get chicken fried steak with the cream gravy left out. I've had it. Who eats chicken fried steak without gravy. Oh and onion rings without dip. Ruined the whole meal. My biggest complaint is from your Burleson store's infamous Black Friday fiasco of April 17. That night the store apparently took more orders than it could ever fulfill. We waited for hours before being told they couldn't finish current orders until 7am the next day. We finally cancelled the order around 10pm. Received a follow up call apologizing, sort of, for the fiasco and was assured we'd receive a refund in 3-5 days. That was April 17 and it's now May 14 and still no refund. That's 2 out of the last 3 meals ordered being failures. Maybe you should rethink delivery. It took me several days to realize your other link in the contact us portion of your website doesn't work. I'm still waiting for a reply...and an apology. read more

Cotton patch has been one of my go to restaurants for years. Every time I go I enjoy the food and how reasonable the menu is priced. At one of my recent visits, the GM Kevin, came by the table being very hospitable with my table as well as other guests seated. I definitely appreciate the service and will come back to enjoy the food and the friendly faces. read more

I yelped this place after I ordered. Saw a bad review about the burgers. Mine came out and it looked great. Coming from someone who currently has a cold and has been running fevers off and on, I didn't have much of an appetite, but this burger was juicy, well seasoned and had a nice char. Excellent! Our family eats here very often and we have never been disappointed. Food is always hot, plentiful, and delicious. My husband enjoys steak finger basket, daughter loves chicken cheese steak sandwich or dumplings, boys love chicken tenders, and I enjoy chicken-n-spaghetti or Cesar salad. Where do I begin...well the service was poor, my server wasn't pleasant, basically there to do his job and leave. Ordered broccoli rice casserole , and ran out of it right when my food was ready so I had to get another side at the last minute. Love their food, their blackberry cobbler is amazing with a sugary crust and vanilla ice cream! Chicken fried steak is better than most - Vegetables are always tasty, as well. Not a 5 star place by any means but it is better than the other "home style" chains that I have tried. The food is awesome and this was one of the best experiences ever with the waitress and manager in a restaurant. There was an issue with a customer in the next booth regarding a toddler coughing, even though the mother covered the child's mouth when coughing and the person was about to leave anyway. It upset the mother terribly as her day had been extremely stressful already. She couldn't eat her dinner so she took it all home. The staff was so kind and understanding. They were so nice to us and the baby. They even brought the baby some ice cream as well as reducing the bill!!! The restaurant hadn't done anything wrong, just wanted their customers to have a good experience there. I would definitely recommend Cotton Patch in Burleson to anyone. read more

I hate this location. For a number of reasons, cotton patch was my favorite restaurant in Waco... but coming here for the first time was HORRIFIC. not only did I see multiple staff members put food that was on the ground back onto plates and into to go bags, but when I got my food there was a hair in it, and my husbands salad had a big flying bug in it as well. Then on top of that, when I asked to speak to a manager my waitress claims she is the manager and goes on and on about how she can't help the fact that there are bugs or hairs, when she had her hair down, and NO GLOVES ON. then I come back a couple days later to pick up a to go order and out of curiosity I ask the lady behind the desk who the managers are and she DID NOT SAY THE NAME OF THE WAITRESS I HAD. I have never felt so disrespected, then I go to the bathroom and an employee is vaping right in front of the mirror. I come back about a week later to test run it one last time, and I had an amazing waitress, beautiful and friendly and a very fun bubbly personality. My food came out wrong, the power went out, employees were on their phones, nobody was wearing gloves and a NUMBER OF THEM had their masks off at one point hovering over the food. Staying the evening in area. Looked online for area restaurants and thought this one had good variety. Food was very good but customer service poor. Waiter brought food but never stopped back to ask how everything was. Also did not ask if we wanted another wine or something else to drink, never asked if we wanted any dessert or anything else. Omg I'm so excited I finally tried this place. It was awesome. Our waiter was fantastic. He helped me decide what I wanted. Never be afraid to ask the waiter which dish they like better between two or three dishes. I went kinda simple but it was perfect. I had a Cesar dinner salad. It is what you expect. Then for my meal I decided to go with a bowl of their tortilla soup. OMG best soup ever. It's a little spicy and full of vegetables that you can't tell are there. Which I love. I'm not a big veggie eater so this made me feel like I was eating super healthy. Lol. The rolls they bring out go perfect with the soup. My husband had one of their burgers and was blown away. It was pretty big and he couldn't say enough good things. My son had the Mac and cheese kid plate. It wasn't the box stuff. It was actually pretty good and he ate it well. We will definitely be back.
