Fantastic experience for my birthday night out on a weekday. The ambiance and decor is perfectly arranged and the food was even better. Raw Oysters were fantastic, I had the Wet aged ribeye, wife had the dry aged. Had mine seared to medium rare perfection, and the service was spectacular. Very fortunate to have found this gem up here in northeast metro Atlanta. I will have no hesitation to hold business dinner or just a nice date night out. The garlic butter chicken I ordered was very flavorful; however, the steak the other guests had tasted a bit spoiled. Dan and I went for our first dinner out post-shelter-in-place orders to celebrate his promotion. It's a new era of dining right now- you call from the car when you arrive to check if your table is ready, have your temperature taken when you walk in, everyone working is in masks and gloves, only seating every other table, paper menus, all the silverware heat sealed in plastic, even the salt and pepper shakers (if you ask for them) are sterilized and sealed. The steak was cooked fitting to our order and we could cut the filet mignon with a spoon because it was so tender. The flavor was subpar, however, the potato was lacking in flavor. Excellent! Friday night date night. We had reservations for 7:30pm and got there about 20 min early, but really didn't need them. I don't know if they are just not that busy on a Friday night, but place wasn't packed. Our server was Prayton and he was very accommodating and knowledgable of the menu and how we should structure our time there. We had 4 courses with sides. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops and they were like butter. Then my husband and I shared the Lobster Bisque, it was devine. A little cold at first on the edges, which was odd, but it warmed up. For my main I had the petit ribeye (medium) with squash casserole. It was cooked perfectly and the seasoning on the steak was very good. Dessert we split the Black Out cake and it made me dance!!! It was warm and gooey inside with ice cream and choc/caramel drizzle. The food was delicious and the service was EXTRAORDINARY. Thankfully we had reservations as they were only accommodating those - no walks in due to the popularity that night. We were greeted and sat quickly, so issues from start to finish. Table 20 will be our pick going forward - loved the view of the line. My wife and I had high expectations for this place but it failed. First we both had oyster Rockefeller. There were only 5 on the plate and for the price it could have been half dozen. They looked ok but when you eat them it's like eating a spoonful of bread crumbs. Then the steaks were ordered ( prime rib and filet mignon) they arrived at our table, dry and over cooked. Staying at the disappointing Chateau Elan, my wife and I needed a good steakhouse to go to for our anniversary celebration! We found Cotton Calf Kitchen which is less than 10 min away! According to the pictures everything looked like it was going to be great. But when we got there, the pictures did not do this place justice. This restaurant has an absolute wonderful ambience. We were immediately seated and our server, Matt, happened to be one of the best servers I have encountered. He had great attention to detail and his recommendations were on point! We got the Bacon and the Cauliflower Parmesan Soup to start. Shared the Ribeye, which was perfectly cooked! For our sides we got the Truffle Wedges, which were HUGE! And the creamed corn was one of the most delicious creamed corn dishes you will ever eat! We finished the night with the Key Lime Pie. We honestly could have gotten a better steak at longhorns. Extremely disappointed (for the second time). Do yourself a favor and go across the street and eat at local station! Whereas some fine dining offer small serving sizes, the portions here are very generous and I was stuffed wobbling out. AMBIANCE: (10/10) The interior decor was very nice and simple yet elegant. Overall very clean and definitely get appropriate for the mood. Great for celebrating big milestones with good food to complement. CUSTOMER SERVICE: (10/10) Our waitstaff was very attentive and gave us incredible service. They gave us great recommendations for pairing foods and were very professional and polite. FOOD: (9.5/10) $100 We spent $500 for a party of five for a 3 course meal, including the tip. We ordered the bacon strips, calamari, and tuna poké for the appetizers and they were amazing. Bacon was very meaty with a sweet glaze, calamari is always a classic but this one had a fine balance between the batter and the three different sauces it came with (best is the sweet chili sauce). Tuna poké felt like a twist on guacamole and had a great texture and taste. Additionally we were provided with rolls and a pimento butter which came out nice and warm which is the best way to have rolls. Now the steaks were even better. Super juicy and tasty. I had the Delmonico Ribeye and it was HUGE, I could barely finish. I got mine medium rare and it was tender and tasty. We had Brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower and mashed potatoes. If I had to skip one, I'd skip the Brussel sprouts because it was soaked in bacon and cheese sauce which while food was slightly overpowering. For dessert I tried the New York cheesecake (desserts are on the house on your birthday!) and it was delicious albeit a bit harder than I'd prefer my cheesecakes. The fruits were a nice touch of fruit and the graham cracker base was incredible. I also had the blackout chocolate cake which was a molten lava cake with vanilla ice cream. If you are a fan of chocolate this is the cake for you. It's full of dark chocolate and can be overpowering because of how rich it is. read more

Victoria at the bar provided great recommendations (from a strong wine list), Lauren provided attentive, gracious service, and the manager, Derrick, was fantastic--recognized us immediately and treated us like royalty. Highlights of our visits: cold bar (they made a fantastic sriracha hot sauce for us!), wild mushrooms (amazing!), chopped salad (more than enough for two), the petit filet, and the cajun ribeye (wow!). There are some meals in your lifetime that are memorable because of the people you're with, or the place you are, whether or not the meal itself was that tasty. Warm, intimate, cozy, inviting, elegant, refined - a lovely dining room with a view of the polished kitchen staff making magic happen on the plates. An extremely knowledgeable server whose name I forget helped me navigate the menu as I'm not an avid meat-eater. And finally an extraordinary meal - perfect steak, cauliflower side (o m g!), and brussel sprout side (o m g X2.) I am anxious to go back again, and I had been there before, but just on the bar side for cocktails. We sat outside and ate on their large patio and enjoyed every minute of it, from our drinks, to our appetizers, to our dinner, and even the free dessert they brought out for my birthday. Drinks included a peach Moscow mule, appetizer included the shrimp cocktail that came with the tastiest cocktail sauce I've every had (it had little chinks of mango in it, I think), dinner included crab cakes and lamb chops. I don't leave reviews, but this place deserves 10 stars! The food & the service was superb. Lobster Cocktail: 10/10 - fresh quality chunks of chilled lobster. Wish I would've asked for warm butter, but the cocktail sauce had a good amount of horseradish so it was yummy. Crab cakes: 9/10 - not a lot of breading and tons of crab, just what you want. The sauce could've used a little boost but it was still good for as simple as it was. Glazed bacon: 100/10 - I've had similar dishes at fine steak houses all over the world. They got the combo just right! Not too thick, perfectly charred and the cuts had just the right amount of meat to fatty goodness. It was perfection. New York Strip: 10/10 the cut and quality of the steak was incredible. Then it was cooked to perfection(medium rare) with a crispy flavorful char, yet tender interior. Chilean seabass: 10/10 I think they just took over for my favorite seabass ever. Sorry Aquagrill in NYC, you have been surpassed. Melts like butter in your mouth. The sauce is great too! Came here tonight with my son to finally hit downtown Braselton and a good steakhouse. Not hard to find in town, we started with some blue point oysters and the bacon wrapped scallops as appetizers. Oysters were fresh and the scallops were pretty large and very tasty. Good start. We both then got the lobster bisque. Its in a shallow bowl, but full of flavor with plenty of cognac and a bit of lobster. Rich but very good. For our entrees my son had the 16oz NY Strip was cooked to perfection and really a very large steak. Trimmed perfectly, it was a great steak. He could not eat it all which was amazing, but I was able to take the last couple of bites to see how good it was I opted for the grilled lobster and settled on a 2.5.lb. It is split and is the whole lobster so if you're into eating all the good stuff, this is a good presentation. I was expecting a bit more in the presentation other than the lobster and 5 lemons wrapped in cloth but the lobster was large and tasty. The butter was on the side with a burner to keep melted. For desert we had the strawberry cheesecake- well presented with berries and nice mold. Not a NY cheesecake per say, but very good. The restaurant is split in to the entry and bar area, then some great curved booths leading past the open kitchen on the right to a dining room at the back. I was hoping to get the deviled eggs with caviar, but that was served only in the bar and not available in the main dining. I thought that was a bit interesting.... but was not a deal breaker. Nice atmosphere, and price along with Ruth's Chris or other steakhouses. Nice to have one closer to home than Atlanta and certainly competes with some special places in the Buford downtown bistro district. Great evening and service was impeccable. read more
