[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is like a Guy Ritchie movie. Red wall paper, Swag Lamps, Leather chairs, Pool tables with fringe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Best part?? Crowd,... super cool. Neighborhood people, Groups of people, families, regular dudes, girls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Taylor was super cool. Irene the Bartender had about 30 cstmrs and she totally handled it like a big girl, all smiles. Had a totally kick ace IPA.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on Christmas Eve day and the place was EMPTY.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had not gone before so we were super unfamiliar about the menu and options. Service was good for a light crowd, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant is dark so if you're over 25+ years old, turn your flashlight on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu options are aplenty even for vegetarians and vegans. There is no kids menu however. Reuben: 7/10 Guinness: 9/10 Crisps: 8/10 Peppered Steak: 10/10

I was really surprised today. Picked up an oggie, and when I get home and take a bite the bread was still raw at the bottom with a big clump at the front. I had to open it up and dig around to make sure I wasn't imagining things cause it tasted really paste-y but maybe it was just potato? Nope, it was a clump and bed of raw tasting dough around the whole thing. So I call in and politely let them know my breading was still raw on the inside. The waitress hands me off to the manager, who comes on and asks me if I have a oven.. really? They say I should cook it longer at 425 - instead of offering to have me exchange it or something nice. I asked if the only solution she's offering is for me to try and remake it. I hear yes it'll be fine if I cook it longer sorry about that! The vibe was really weird. I've never had a restaurant give me cooking instructions for something they undercooked. So now I have to burn the crispy outside to not chew on play dough; or pick something else up. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. If I wanted to cook I wouldn't have gone there. I used to recommend this place to my classmates and friends but I don't think I want to go back anymore. It must happen frequently enough to have a "fix it yourself" policy.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service and Ambiance is great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music not too loud. Prob from the 90's music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the Guinness Gravy w steak pasty. Haven't dug into it yet. But if it tastes as good as it looks, I'll be back to try their other dishes!

I love Cornish but this location ends up disappointing me each time I come. On my last visit it was probably 85 degrees in there while it was a lot cooler outside. My friends and I were all sweating and just decided to leave. Aside from that, a few of the staff members just have terrible attitudes and will have you waiting 30 minutes to be waited on, but then when you go up to the bar to order they just tell you to sit down and wait, and then you go to another bartender and they take your order. Very confusing... Pasty so good tho so I guess I'll just tolerate it in the future

So good!! So many options for the pasty. Had a traditional - perfectly appointed. Not a fan of the sauce, but that was personal . Also had the scotch egg- perfect. The leek soup was awesome. This was my first visit- so pleased this is in my neck of the woods!! Feels like a pub. Service was excellent.. great suggestions.

AMAZING! My brother and I met the owner on a ski lift earlier in the day. So, having no idea what to expect, we went to Cornish Pasty. The choices were plentiful. The service, shout out to Karly!, was attentive. The pasties are tasty. I had the vegan hatch chili burger pasty. My brother had the veggie cottage pie. That was more than enough. We, however, were so excited with the choices, we kept ordering. The mushy peas? Phenomenal. The soup he had was some of the best ever. Word on the street is they will open one in Tucson soon. Don't miss it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Oh, almost forgot, the musical playlist was off the charts![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back.

    The pasties are so good!

First the food is amazing! The crust of the pasties is so delicious, soft and chewy but then crusty and amazing! I love the chicken pot pie pasty and the original with steak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment is so warm and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really liked the pool table area, the decorations are great and the music is incredible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress that served us was very friendly and Daniel also came out to help us pick between the many amazing options. Super impressed with everything!! Also... don't skip the dessert pasty!

We have come here many times in the last few months , I just wanted to post a current review . We came tonight and noticed the same graceful and wonderful servers as always( definitely shows they are believe in what they do here) they were on point as always . This trip was bangers and mash pasty and salmon pasty , both tremendous in their own unique flavors , very complex inside that perfect crust . The bread , no where isn't better , make sure to order some to take home , you will never be sorry . For desert , once again we got the benaffi pie, our favorite all time , we seen many other deserts hit the tables next to us , and I will tell you , they all looked to be as awesome as the next . I am amazed when a place delivers constantly , no one matches this place on consistency that I've seen in years .

The cutest part was they printed a little leprechaun right on the foam. So cute! I got the Celtic Cucumber and it was really refreshing and delicious. Not too sweet, just light and easy to drink. They also have quite a few cocktails to choose from. We ordered the pretzel, wings, crispy cod sliders, corned beef sliders, Philly cheesesteak fries, and the Shepherd's Pasty. Everything was really tasty and well balanced, nothing too sweet or too salty. Our favorite was definitely the Pasty. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the crust was flaky and so good. This was our first time here and it was such a nice surprise. Cozy spot, good food, good drinks, and friendly service. We'll definitely come back to try more.

SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS…read more George and Dragon Pub 4240 N. Central Avenue Phoenix, 85012 Companion and I were hungry and I had a craving for English style fish and chips. Where else to go but to a pub! We arrived at 6:40 in the evening and seated ourselves as is the custom. While many of the tables are hightops, we chose a regular table off to the side. First was an appetizer of Curried Chips along with NA Guinness to wash it down. The chips were like mashed potatoes in the center and crispy on the outside. Along with the authentic curry to dip them in, it was deliciousness on a plate. On to the main dishes. Companion ordered Bangers and Mash. Excellent tasting sausages served over mashed potatoes in traditional style. Companion loved it but was unable to finish it. For myself, I had my Fish and Chips that I was craving. 2 large pieces of cod perfectly fried in a beer batter coating. Served over a pile of perfect chips and accompanied by malt vinegar I was back in the U.K. Only problem was that it was served with a side of English peas instead of mushy peas like one would get overseas, but one can't be too choosy. Of course, we had to have dessert. There is always room for dessert! Companion ordered Toffee Pudding with Hot Custard sauce and I ordered the Bread Pudding. The toffee was chewy and sticky as it should be and the hot custard sauce added just the right touch. My bread pudding was in dense slices as is proper in the U.K.. I stole some of companions Hot Custard to put on it and it was wonderful. This was an excellent dinner which brought back memories of pubs in the U.K. The only thing missing off the menu was a Ploughman's Lunch, but not enough people would order it I think. Service and cleanliness were up to par. It's worth noting that on Sundays they have Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding. I can't wait! 5 stars

Since I was craving the CHIPS part of the meal (finally some carbs), I was horrified (drama again) to find my fries were cold and severely floppy. No crispiness what so ever. Maybe a one off, but what a let down. And I have to remember this every time I'm craving carbs until my next cheat day.

As the game ended, it was announced over the intercom that customers were free to take the flags hanging from the ceiling. Naturally, people began grabbing them. There is a respectful and professional way to address people without insulting them, especially when everyone was simply responding to what had just been announced. Otherwise, no one would have started taking the flags in the first place. He then walked over to my fiancé and forcefully ripped a flag out of my fiancé's hands, nearly knocking her to the ground. He also grabbed another customer from behind in a highly inappropriate manner and pulled him down, putting him at risk of falling. What an unexpectedly fun night!…read more I honestly had no idea what I was walking into when a friend told me I had to check out Bikini Lounge because they know I'm drawn to all things eclectic. They were absolutely right. From the moment the friendly bouncer smiled and said, "Step right on in," I was hooked. Yoooow!! The first DJ was incredible. He was spinning all kinds of trip-hop, indie, electronic, and remix-style tracks that had everybody partyin'. It wasn't your typical dance music, but every song seemed to connect with somebody in the room. The crowd was incredibly diverse, and it was so much fun watching people of every age and style dancing and nobody cared. The second DJ, a younger woman, shifted the vibe a bit and leaned more toward a younger crowd. It wasn't quite my style, so I took that opportunity to grab a seat at the bar and do what I apparently do best... chat with complete strangers. I'm a talker, and thankfully they seemed just as happy to strike up a conversation. This isn't some fancy cocktail lounge, and that's exactly the point. It's authentic. There were people dancing at the bar, grooving in their booths, bouncing in their seats, and filling the dance floor with great energy. I came by myself, and within minutes a cool group of strangers invited me to squeeze into their booth like we'd all come together. That's the kind of place this is. At one point they even offered me a glass of beer from their pitcher. I politely declined (look at me making responsible life choices... sometimes), but then I realized almost everyone had pitchers! So I sauntered over to the bar. I did have to wait a bit; apparently chivalry doesn't extend to letting a woman cut the line, but once I reached the bartender, the service was fast and friendly. Every trip back to the bar was the same. No complaints there. As the night went on, the energy just kept building. Before I knew it, I was on the dance floor sweating, smiling, and dancing with complete strangers. After a while, I had to retreat to the patio just to catch my breath before heading back in for more. My ankles are still sore... and the glutes? Fuhgetabouttit! The best part of the night wasn't the music or even the drinks. It was the people. Every generation was represented. Every fashion style imaginable. Every personality. And somehow it all worked. There was this genuine sense of joy and community that you just don't find everywhere. If you're looking for polished and upscale, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want great music, a welcoming crowd, zero pretension, and one of those nights where you leave happier than you arrived... give Bikini Lounge a shot. I went in not knowing what to expect. I left wondering why I'd waited so long to go.

All their soups are made from scratch and served with housemade bread. And while they have AMAZING pasties, do yourself a service and get yourself a bowl of Cream of Leek, Potato & Stilton Soup. A bowl of this soup costs $7.50, Vegetarian, and Available Gluten-Free (+$1). Imagine sliced leeks, starchy potatoes, butter, broth, Stilton English cheese, and heavy cream. How can you go wrong with this? Sitting at the bar with my friend, I didn't want beer. I didn't want a pasty. It was just this soup and me. Every time I'm here at this DT Phoenix location, I'm convinced I would've made an amazing medieval bar wench serving soup. Then again, maybe not. I just really love soup. When she politely asked what it was, the employee immediately got defensive instead of addressing the concern. Any customer would be alarmed if they thought there was glass in their drink. When he returned with another glass of water, he slammed it down in front of her and claimed he was the manager. Moments later, another employee came over saying he was actually the manager and that the first employee was just a barback, but he was just as rude and unprofessional. To top it all off, as we were leaving, staff flipped us off. We've never experienced such disrespect from employees over a simple and reasonable question about something that appeared to be in a drink. Mistakes happen, but the way customers are treated is what matters. The hostility, lack of professionalism, and complete disregard for a legitimate safety concern made this an experience we won't be repeating.
