We went on Christmas Eve day and the place was EMPTY. We had not gone before so we were super unfamiliar about the menu and options. Service was good for a light crowd, the restaurant is dark so if you're over 25+ years old, turn your flashlight on. Menu options are aplenty even for vegetarians and vegans. There is no kids menu however. Reuben: 7/10 Guinness: 9/10 Crisps: 8/10 Peppered Steak: 10/10

AMAZING! My brother and I met the owner on a ski lift earlier in the day. So, having no idea what to expect, we went to Cornish Pasty. The choices were plentiful. The service, shout out to Karly!, was attentive. The pasties are tasty. I had the vegan hatch chili burger pasty. My brother had the veggie cottage pie. That was more than enough. We, however, were so excited with the choices, we kept ordering. The mushy peas? Phenomenal. The soup he had was some of the best ever. Word on the street is they will open one in Tucson soon. Don't miss it. Oh, almost forgot, the musical playlist was off the charts! We will be back.

I love Cornish but this location ends up disappointing me each time I come. On my last visit it was probably 85 degrees in there while it was a lot cooler outside. My friends and I were all sweating and just decided to leave. Aside from that, a few of the staff members just have terrible attitudes and will have you waiting 30 minutes to be waited on, but then when you go up to the bar to order they just tell you to sit down and wait, and then you go to another bartender and they take your order. Very confusing... Pasty so good tho so I guess I'll just tolerate it in the future

So good!! So many options for the pasty. Had a traditional - perfectly appointed. Not a fan of the sauce, but that was personal . Also had the scotch egg- perfect. The leek soup was awesome. This was my first visit- so pleased this is in my neck of the woods!! Feels like a pub. Service was excellent.. great suggestions.

We have come here many times in the last few months , I just wanted to post a current review . We came tonight and noticed the same graceful and wonderful servers as always( definitely shows they are believe in what they do here) they were on point as always . This trip was bangers and mash pasty and salmon pasty , both tremendous in their own unique flavors , very complex inside that perfect crust . The bread , no where isn't better , make sure to order some to take home , you will never be sorry . For desert , once again we got the benaffi pie, our favorite all time , we seen many other deserts hit the tables next to us , and I will tell you , they all looked to be as awesome as the next . I am amazed when a place delivers constantly , no one matches this place on consistency that I've seen in years .

I've been to Cornish Pasty multiple times downtown and never really thought of it as more than a cute bar. This is my first time going to this location and getting food and I was very impressed. I got the chicken Greek pasty and it was delicious! The pasty was nice and flaky and the fillings were a perfect combination of classic Greek ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant is just as fun as the one downtown and the waitstaff was super friendly and the food came out fast. I definitely will start coming here more often now that I know how good the food is!

Not a fan when staff gets off their shift and fills up the bar. Go home people. Seems like the crew from the Renaissance festival mostly moonlights here. Cottage pie was decent though this time. Simple the better here. No TV, no stars.

What a quirky find in Phoenix. There is literally a menu a mile long. Tons of great food to choose from. Service was quick and friendly. For was tasty and the decor is funky. Great place to hang out with a group!

The food looks amazing. Came out hot and looking delicious. Our bartender (Irene) was very sweet and accommodating with our group looking over the menu. Our drinks came out just the way we liked them. The atmosphere was very pleasant. It had a very different vibe from a normal restaurant/bar which was nice to get a change of pace. There were 2 pool tables and plenty of space at the bar to come in for a late night grab. This is definitely a place to check out.

Jessica, my waitress was really awesome and very friendly and helped me pick out some really great things on the menu. I had the Reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries. The German pretzel bites with beer, cheese and the churros with ice cream and a few beers and I have to say the prices are excellent and the food is incredibly good and I don't say that lightning most dive bars are just good for the ambience and a few cheap drinks. This place is great all around. Also, their patio area is dog friendly, so I was able to bring my little furry friend with me and he hung out and laid down near the table. Another bonus.

You can tell right away this is the kind of place regulars come back to often. Food I didn't try much food, but I did have the cheese crisp and it was solid. Light, flaky, and more like an open-faced tostada than a quesadilla. It came topped with green chili and chicken, and everything worked well together. Based on that, I'd expect the rest of the menu to be consistent, even if it's not trying to reinvent the wheel. Service Service was efficient, especially considering how busy it was. No complaints here... you can tell the staff knows how to handle a full house and keep things moving. Ambience This is where the place stands out. The vibe feels like a food network designed a biker bar, but in a fun, not over-the-top way. It's also apparently a Kansas City Chiefs bar, which adds to the identity. There was a live band playing early 2000s rock hits, which kept the energy up. Crowd was friendly overall, very much a neighborhood crowd. Overall This isn't a destination bar, but it's a really solid go-to if you live nearby. Think of it as an elevated dive/sports bar with a strong local following. Good drinks, good energy, and a place that does what it's supposed to do well.

THE BEST CHIPS (FRIES)!…read more As a British expat, I'm always happy to try a new British restaurant, so I had to try this one while visiting Phoenix. The pasty and gravy were authentic and delicious. The chips were some of the best I've had in a very long time, if not ever. The restaurant is large with an upper and lower level and patio dining. It has a pub-like feel. Use the QR to view the menu, but order through the waiter. (This isn't quite obvious, so a sign stating 'Order with the waitstaff' would make things more clear). There are a variety of pasty flavors to choose from. The bathrooms are completely graffitied -- I think they've chosen to make that part of the decor. Don't let them scare you off! I would visit again if we were in the Phoenix area. Helpful?

Today, I was walking near my office and came across the Downtown Phoenix location of Cornish Pasty. I enjoyed a tasty lunch with good service, and I am already looking forward to heading back there. When I approached the restaurant from the corner of Central and Monroe, it wasn't clear which door was the door I should enter though it seems like any door off Monroe or Central is just fine. There were limited number of tables plus the bar, and I was delighted to see a small table available. I was eating on my own with a book, and I was quickly greeted by one of several team members who stopped by my table over my lunch hour. I asked a few questions about three options, and I decided upon the Chicken Pot Pie Signature Pasty consisting of chicken, carrots, red potato, green beans, celery, and onion with rosemary. There was also chicken gravy on the side. Everything about the dish was delicious! I would consider ordering this again as I enjoyed it so much; however, I may want to try something else next time. There are so many options! I did learn though that you cannot substitute most options in the pasties. Visit the Cornish Pasty website at https://www.cornishpastyco.com. On the website is the history of the Cornish pasty, information about all 11 locations (of which 9 are in Arizona), menus, a photo gallery, catering options, contact form, employment options, online ordering, and gift cards. The menu consists of their signature pasties and premium pasties though they also list vegan and vegetarian pasties, salads, appetizers and soups, sides, desserts, and drinks. While the Scottsdale and Tempe locations appear larger than the Downtown Phoenix location, it was still comfortable and had similar positive customer service from staff. There are so few restaurants like the Cornish Pasty in the Phoenix area. I'd certainly recommend visiting any of the Cornish Pasty locations though for a positive experience Downtown, feel free to stop by. No reservations are needed. If you don't find a regular table available, feel free to stop at the bar and take a seat there. I look forward to returning back to the Cornish Pasty again soon. Yum!
