    Greek Chicken
    David W.

This Cornish Pasty location was very cool as it was near the top of Jerome and had a vibe completely in alignment with the weirdness of the town. I wanted to go with Chicken Tikka but they were sold out, however the Greek Chicken turned out to be very good as well. My kids shared an Italian Meatball at it tasted great too. If you go, try other offerings such as the daily soup choices and the chips are also a must. Prices are reasonable for the size of the portions and service is pretty good, but it does get busy at times. They do have outdoor seating with some awesome views too. Overall, every bit as good as the valley locations and I recommend far more than the more touristy options elsewhere in Jerome.

The place was wide open when we went. It was cold and the steps leading up were icy. Inside the decor was really cool. There were old photos from Cornwall, the origin of the pasty. We had three of the popular ones which was too much. We took home two and a quarter halves. The hot toddy was amazing and appropriate for the cold night. Our waitress was really great.

Food: D Professionalism: F Service: D Wait time: F- I traveled solo with my dog and figured I would hit the first spot that is dog friendly (outside) and with not a lot of costumers so this should be quick, right? WRONG. After ordering, my waitress decided to hand me my water through the window because she couldn't be bothered to walk outside to serve me the water. Ok, a bit weird but totally fine. Then the nightmare began. After waiting over 50 mins, I still don't have my food. I knew something was up when two ppl who came 25 mins after me, started getting their food first. During the time I waited, I can hear the employees talking and hanging out with each other, laughing and being a bit unprofessional seeing that they have customers to serve. You would think if you see a customer who still haven't received her food for 50 mins that you would check on the order? Nope. I had to ask if perhaps the waitress forgot to put my food in, in which case to go ahead and cancel it because I was pretty upset and agitated by then. She proceeded to admit to the long wait and said she would comp the food as she handed me the half baked pasty. Needless to say, because it was half baked, the pasty was.. well, not great. I ate maybe a quarter of the thing and left, leaving a tip even with the whole insane experience. Now imagine this place on a weekend filled with customers.....

Fabulous decor that gives you the old Jerome vibe!

I couldn't be happier with the service, vibe, value, and delicious food at the Jerome, Az location. Ayla took good care of us and she was very attentive. We tried the Greek, Italian, Tikka masala, and Chicken pot pie pasties which were all delicious and had yummy dips to go with them. Throw in the local craft beer on tap, and you have a perfect experience here. There is indoor or outdoor seating available, and the interior offers a really cool, old Jerome mining town vibe with vintage decor, and photos of mine workers from that day. The outdoor seating area showcases a beautiful view of the verdvalley. If you're looking for a fun, unique dining experience in the heart of this charming "ghost town" look no further!

    Not a very nice welcome...

We walked all over town, then we climbed a few flights of steps to try some real Cornish pasties. The sticker on the door was the first turn-off. We were welcomed with a wave to take whatever seat we wanted. There wasn't a big crowd at the time, but the tables were so tight, we didn't feel comfortable. We went to the bar, which was also the kitchen, I guess, and the welcomer asked us if we just wanted to order to go. We said we'd feel more comfortable at the bar, but the look she gave us wasn't very welcoming. The door behind us kept slamming as an employee went in and out. Still, we were willing to try until we got a load of the beverage list. For my honey they had Rasputin or Guinness, one we already have at home, the other he considers worse than swill. So, we gave up, which is sad, because the pasties smelled really good, and they had several interesting vegetarian/vegan options. They just need to get some interesting local brews in there, cause what would go better with a hand-crafted pastie than some good craft brews?

My dear friends if you're in Jerome or anywhere near please stop here! Cornish pasty "Legit" full on :)) 'Bangers and Mash' was top notch! The shepherd's pie was reminiscent of a grassy hillside full of sheep :D It's a fancy top crimp :P my wife and I stoped in for a tourist stop and loved it so please enjoy with full confidence "You won't be disappointed!"

Unique theme. Delicious pasties. Close to our ghost walk for pre-funk. Super service! Would go again.

We didn't know what to order, so we ordered everything. Every single Pasty was AMAZING the fresh baked bread that they brought out as an app was so soft and thick as heck and absolutely delicious.

This place must be fairly new to not have many reviews. Loved everything about this place. The inside was super adorable, the patio was so refreshing on a beautiful night, the waitress was so amazing (wish I got her name, but the goth girl). The food - delicious! I had the Reuben and my husband had the Chicken Tikka Masala. He said it was delicious, and it smelled amazing! My Reuben was just what my taste buds needed. Super tender, just the right amount of filling to keep it from falling apart like a sandwich would. Our chips were burnt, but we were so full from the pasties, that we just ate what wasn't as burnt. I am SUPER excited to find out they have locations in the valley because I can't wait to try more of what they have to offer!

Yummy! Never had a pasty before. So glad I have now. The restaurant is super cool. Food amazing! They have options for meat eaters and vegans. Great drink menu!

Traveling back to Arizona, we knew we had to return, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. The filet mignon is simply out of this world--served sizzling in a cast iron skillet with clarified butter, it's incredibly flavorful, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. It's the kind of dish you think about long after the meal is over. What really sets this place apart, though, is the people. The staff consistently go above and beyond, creating an experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. And Michael, the manager, is exceptional--so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely invested in making every guest feel taken care of. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers this level of quality and consistency twice, let alone make you want to keep coming back. Without a doubt, one of the greatest dining experiences in the USA. We'll absolutely be back again.

My cousin and I were lucky enough to swoop right in before the kitchen closed. We shared a grilled and cheese sandwich ($10.75) + ($4.50 for the ham). To be honest, I felt a little impatient waiting for our sandwich because given the space and kitchen, I just expected a simple grilled ham & cheese situation. Instead, out came the most glorious grilled ham and cheese I have ever encountered. It was beautifully crafted - 2 types of melty cheese (cheddar + havarti), a thick slice of honey ham, topped with fresh spinach all sandwiched between two toasted slices of garlic butter-ed whole grain bread. It was unexpectedly gourmet and a perfect treat after trekking up and down the hills of Jerome. I'm pretty sure I met Chad during our quick meal. He's nice. And Flatiron is the perfect pit stop.

Starting with being seated at the smallest table in the farthest corner despite every single table being open. Since it was national tequila day I ordered a marg! Originally I ordered the blue raspberry margarita and was told they didn't have the syrup. No worries! Switched to the blackberry flavored one instead and YUCK. Tasted like straight syrup, 0 alcohol, and the ice to liquid ratio was insanely off. I had maybe 5 itty bitty sips before asking the waitress to take it back. She took it with no apology or question on what the issue was. It takes a lot of talent to mess up a margarita. So kudos to them. My boyfriend and I ordered the fajita combo plate to share. It came with shrimp, steak, and chicken mixed with veggies. There were a total of 4 pieces of shrimp, 3 flour tortillas clearly store bought and stale, and shreds of dry unseasoned minuscule shreds "steak" and chicken. The toppings came out on a large platter. Most of the cheese was clumped together, melted to the plate (but not warm or stringy just completely solid melded to the plate) and insanely thin. My boyfriend said the rice was good but he also found uncooked rice immediately after saying this. Overall, I would say the food was far below subpar and I am shocked at the 5 star reviews. I think those who gave it 5 stars might be locals or come from a land of zero flavor. The restaurant aesthetic was just your typical Mexican restaurant decor and I do not think it is unique enough to rectify giving a higher rating. The service was also nothing to talk positively of. We were the only ones in the restaurant and you'd think we weren't even there the way the waitress sat on her phone the entire time. Don't recommend. Would not go back.

I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
