If your going for atmosphere, this isn't the place for you. The place needs a good paint job and new ceiling tiles. This poor place is run down and tired. That being said, the food is great. Went here today. I ordered a "Beef and chedder" sandwich. I checked the menu carefully checked the description because I don't eat mayo. The ingredients were pretty simple. Beef, cheddar, grilled onions. Perfect. I received the sandwich and could tell it was absolutely covered in mayo. I asked the waitress and she told me "oh no that's just cheese". Against my better judgment I took a bite. I don't know why I believed this woman when I knew damn well what I was looking at but I did. I dont know why people in this industry have so much trouble following simple instructions but I guess that's the reason why a woman in her 40s is still doing the job of a teenager. read more

This is a small place and very home town style. Thought we would try it and we were pleasantly surprised. I had a country style breakfast, two eggs, ham, potatoes and sourdough toast with coffee. The ham was thicker than most places and coffee refills were excellent. My wife had a veggie burrito which she said was very good. The best part is that the breakfast was considerably less than Denny's. Sorry Denny's! Excellent taste at a very good price. Win-Win! I would highly recommend this place for breakfast. Came in today to try this place, as it was on my way home. I had the mega scramble. Here are my thoughts... The Good: The service was great. The toaster biscuits were very tasty, and were a nice break from english muffins or toast. The coffee was good. PLENTY of food on my plate. Scramble had bacon AND ham. The Bad: The potatoes were sliced, kinda Au Gratin style, which was interesting, but they were slightly overcooked on the outside, and slightly under cooked on the inside. The scramble was decent, but bland. The eggs looked kinda stringy. Not texture wise, just visually, like in egg drop soup or something. Couldn't taste the bacon at all. Cornerstone cafe is the epitome of an old-school neighborhood diner. It's been there since I was a kid, and when I went in for breakfast when I was in the area visiting family, not much has changed about it. I got the corned beef hash and my friend got the chicken fried steak. I was pretty disappointed with the main part of my meal (the hash), because it was the kind of hash that comes from a can. I understand some people like it, but it's just not for me. The potatoes were pretty good- not quite country fried potatoes and not quite hash browns. More like chipped soft potatoes, and when you get a really crunchy edge it's heavenly. Chicken fried steak was mediocre, just that standard overly tenderized diner fare kind of CFS. Gravy was just ok as well. If it wasn't for the potatoes and the affordable pricing, the rating would be lower. read more

My friend had the patty melt and described it as perfect if you want a traditional patty melt, despite the American cheese. It is a tan building with a green roof...cannot miss it. When I walked in..I was greeted right away. If there is an open table...you just sit down. They do not seat you. Our coffee order came quickly...but had to wait a bit to order the food. I believe I saw 1 waitress...and 1 person who keeps the coffee coming. I ordered the egg breakfast with a choice of bacon...sausage...or ham. I chose bacon and it comes with home potatoes and choice of bread. 11-22-2018 This was our Thanksgiving morning breakfast. Place was filled to capacity but no waiting lines. This seemed to be a small mom and pop style eatery which we often enjoy and support. We sat down to a nice conversation and a hot cup of joe. We watched how many of the regulars were giving their thanks to the staff, showing us how many regulars were amongst this morning. NICE ! I ordered the standard pancake breakfast with eggs. Boy, was I stuffed and fulfilled ! Do I have room for pumpkin pie later YES !!!! Came here for breakfast on Thanksgiving with my hubby. I called first to ensure they were open on this holiday morning- lucky for us and the mostly full tables they were open until 2pm! Perfect time, they get to work and then go home for family time and we get to start our thanksgiving day for two at breakfast. We were able to sit ourselves at any clean table. The sweet blond waitress was very accommodating and didn't judge my weird choices. Anthony got a two egg pancake breakfast with two sausage and two bacon slices. Despite being a holiday and being pretty busy the food was amazing! My chicken fried with gravy was so crispy and juicy- pretty perfect. Personally I am pretty pleased that I was able to order everything a la carte and not have to order things I didn't really want. Just for this I am changing my initial 4 stars to 5. read more

Honestly the worst waffle I have ever had. It was packed in a non perfrerated styrofoam container with the to go butter packs inside where they melted to liquid. The waffle was broken, soggy wet and limp. It was extremely flavorless too. From experience it was not due to just being packed in a closed container trapping heat-there is absolutely no way this waffle ever had a crunch or body to it. If you hot hold to go containers I wouldn't put condiments in them. I am in shock this was $12 in went in to the trash even the air fryer couldn't save it. I tried to message privately but couldn't find an avenue to do so. 2 stars because they were fast and my boyfriend liked his biscuits and gravy. read more

This is our go to spot now (used to be Cricket's based on yelp). Pro: -Truly huge size of omelette (unlike last aforementioned place) -Real eggs! Omelets don't have that plastic taste/feel -Real Turkey meat! Not all breakfast place offer turkey and if/when they do it's that disgusting cheap lunch processed meat. That is NOT the case here. Which is why I always get the California Omelet. Great, fresh mix of veggies. -large portions; take left overs -Great value (comparatively to aforementioned place). More volume and quality for less- Yass! -very prompt & courteous smile; genuine -variety in menu (unlike aforementioned place that has zero savory options for either health conscious, vegetarian, vegan people). -food quality is good; steaming hot & fresh as if we made it at home ourselves! Con: -coffee it's either weak, watered down, or bland in flavor (no biggy) -coffee cups always seated face done on table. So the previous table could of contaminated cup of the previous customers also passed on coffee & were sloppy eaters. read more
