Dental work today so I have soup for lunch. I guess everything is expensive now. $7.69 for a cup of soup, and $3.59 for a small drink. They are not very busy at lunch. Sad I missed the $7 panini by a day or 2. That would have been a good value. Surprised at the wait for a cup of soup....was hoping it came with bread. It didn't. Wondering how the soup is made. Chunks of potatoes were firm and super hot. Hotter than the rest of the soup. Order it with no green onion because they overpower the taste. It's good. Relaxing place.

We were on our way in traffic and needed to make a pit stop. On walking in, I am not familiar with the area yet it seems like this is a local chain that gives vibes like Panera would? The staff were friendly yet were in training so it took a bit to get our drinks (salted caramel lattes) and they were worth it :)

A bit of a fav of ours from past visits so thought we have breaky here this morning Nothings changed service is good food is a reasonable sized serving and coffee is good ( serve yourself form vac pumps ) This time was disappointing as the food was barely warm and the potatoes were actually cold , not sure how you achieve that other than letting it sit unattended for to long Will be back but not rushing

every day since the last time i updated the review (still one star by the way). the link that @terance c. posted doesnt work . clearly youre not taking this seriously and i hope the other yelpers reading this dont stop and eat at this establishment. they serve you moldy pastries the manager doesnt apologize and the owner plays games . save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I stopped by this Corner Bakery in Burbank this morning because my wife was craving their chicken pomodori sandwich. I was already in the area getting my breakfast burrito nearby so it just worked out for me to get my wife her sandwich. I placed my order online through their website for pickup. I did it right when they open because it will not let you order ahead of time. I got my wife her chicken pomodori and got the ceasar salad as her side. It said the pickup time would be in 15 minutes so it worked out. When you get to the place the entrance is on San Fernando because the small street entrance is for exiting only. I found parking easily since I think I was their first customer of the day. They have outdoor seating here if you want to sit outside. When I walked inside, it's very quiet and seem kind of a traditional setup. There was only 1 person working and I told her that I was here for a mobile order pickup. She was very polite with me and checked that my order was all there in the bag. I took it home for my wife to eat her food and she loved it.

Service at the walk up to order counter was great and food was delivered timely. The sandwiches have no sides, not even a pickle. Sides can be ordered separately and were very good, just small. The food was good, but not amazing. My sandwich for example was served on very soft bread and don't get me wrong, I love very soft bread. However, it was so soft it was not holding the sandwich together well at all. As you can imaging, this made it very messy to eat. My husbands sandwich was flavorful, but the portions were off with too much bread vs meat ratio.

I am recovering from a leg injury, and really wanted the great kale quinoa salad. Since walking is quite difficult at the moment, I decided to place a delivery order. It took a while, but the salad was finally delivered, but when I opened the package I was surprised by the look of the salad. It seemed to have a topping of bread crumbs, but upon inspection I saw that it was a small little dump of quinoa. Hmmm, usually there are lovely shavings of Parmesan, but nope. There was a smidge of Parmesan, not the usual amount. But the real failure was the missing sunflower seeds! Whaaaat???!!! I paid $27 for a bunch of kale and lettuce with a couple tbs of quinoa and a few Parmesan shavings?! I called just to see how they would handle the situation. First I was hung up on, before speaking. Then I was put through to catering though I pushed #6, the general number choice. I was then transferred to someone else (not sure which dept) and I explained about the missing sunflower seeds. After checking with the kitchen he confirmed that yep, they ran out of sunflower seeds. He said I could get $.50 refund, and he would transfer me to another number. The phone rang for several minutes but no one picked up. My painkiller turned me into a total "Karen", because I expected so much more from a favorite place. Oh, well, there are other places. Though that kale quinoa salad is really good when it works. Just don't trust their delivery.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

If nothing else, I always make an effort to squeeze in at least one new restaurant in their lineup. For one, I get to sample what each restaurant considers to be their most popular menu items or exclusive dishes. Also, it's often a tasting menu that offers a little bit more. More like a foodie's bonus prize, just for participating. Yakumi looked good this time around. Probably because I'd eat sushi any day/every day, if I could. And I was able to find a quick prix fixe style sushi solution without roshambeau'ing with myself for hours, deciding on what to eat. YAKUMI BOX + THE DineLA MENU On the regular menu, the Yakima Box is $29 and no drink's included. During DineLA week, this filling lunch choice was just $25 and came with a shōchū cocktail as a refreshing bonus. It included: + Sunomono or seaweed salad + 1 piece of tuna sushi + 2 pieces each of yellowtail, salmon, and albacore topped with fried shallots (Note: It's not the fresh green scallions with ponzu sauce recipe) + A choice of 2 classic rolls like 2-piece baked crab roll, or 4-pieces of yellowtail jalapeño, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, avocado, and California roll (Note: The crab roll was buttery and tasty; the spicy tuna was standard) + My bonus drink: Mango Lychee Shochu The fish was fresh, the mango lychee cocktail was refreshing. Both were on the lighter side and pleasant for a lunchtime meal. INDOOR SEATING + OUTDOOR PATIO Sit inside or outside? To settle the debate, I did both while waiting for my lunch date to arrive. The warm, sunny patio was lovely, but there are only a few spots in the shade during certain times of the day, even with the awning drawn. Indoors, it's quaint and mirrors the koi fish artwork that graces the corner of the restaurant's exterior. It adds an authentic seafood-centric, Japanese charm to the ambiance. Service was prompt, although it wasn't a very busy time. Just across the street at Alfred Coffee, however, the second wave of a caffeine rush hour--needing their daily fix--rolled by as we paid. For me, on the other hand, the light shōchū buzz and pleasant stroll to my car was a foodie's bonus I'd come back for again.

I'm not a fan of supermarket sushi as it's different. If you are, then you may like Yakumi. Or, don't be quiet like me and speak up.
