Corner Bakery Cafe is one of my favorite places to order take out from! They're always super friendly and service is fast. The food here is also always very fresh and tasty. Some of my favorite items to order here are the chicken pesto sandwich and any of their delicious homemade soups. The side small mixed salad I got was to over priced and tasteless, I ordered the balsamic dressing for my salad and instead I got a tamarindo with sugar dressing. There is no way to come back here again, and the pasta with meatballs tastes awful. the meatball is made with pork and beef but the percentage of the pork is greater than the beef and that makes the meat out of balance. Today we were having family pool day and I said I'd grab "the lunch"...my brother had never had the chicken pomodori, it's my usual...matter fact he had never been to corner bakery and I sold him on it. Five chicken pomodoris, and baked potato soups all around with a side of cinnamon cake and superb service...so what's the problem you ask? Well, all five chicken pomodoris were missing half the ingredients. The service was friendly and the lovely young lady that took our order was cheerful and nice. The food was average. The cheddar broccoli soup was like warm and runny. Not thick as it should be. The turkey avocado sandwich left much to be desired; very little turkey, very little avocado. It was a good lunch, but average, and I suppose I've come to expect a bit more out of corner bakery. There is lots of seating and good parking at this location but they should bus the tables more often, when we got there we found 6 tables needing busing. It's sad how bad this place has become. If this spot wants to survive, they need major change in management and processes. The food was ok except for anything with chicken which had a bad aftertaste. The Cesar salad was actually good. But the service was horrible. After ordering, we walked over to the booth seating, and all of the tables were so dirty we had to ask someone to come clean. Once the cashier came over to "clean," she sprayed the table and quickly "wiped" just spreading the dirt around. The floors are nasty and sticky. The bathrooms are gross. Our silverware was given to us unwashed, with white sauce on both forks that I had to ask for plastic utensils. And the staff was careless even after I politely pointed out the table and dirty utensils. It all comes down to poor management who need major training. I used to order from here a lot. I'm not sure what's happened to them post Covid, but nothing is working right anymore. They've gotten something wrong in my order the past 3 times I've come. One time my order included a pesto sandwich...that was missing pesto. Another time I was told 15 minutes, then got there 20 minutes later, and had to wait more than an additional 10 minutes for my food. I finally submitted feedback through the website to let them know what's been going on. They told me that they've been short staffed and that they're working on improvements, then said they would have my next order on the house- no coupon, just would make sure the front knew. Now, maybe two weeks later, I called to try to get that order, and the person who answered the phone said "Yeah, I don't know about that, hold on..." and put me on hold for 10 minutes before I was disconnected. I don't know what it is about using UberEats/Doordash for chain restaurants but almost every time, the meal is so disappointing. It's always weird to me because I've eaten at Corner Bakery many times before but every time I've gotten it delivered, the quality of the food is trash. I ordered the Choose Two - a chicken pomodori sandwich and tomato bisque. The sandwich was abhorrently dry with barely a sliver of tomato on a thin, dry slice of chicken and an even thinner, soggy base of bread and greens. The chicken was also so disproportionate that I had a solid 3-4 bites at the end of just cheese and bread. The soup was even more disappointing; the bread topping was complete mush by the time it got to me (maybe consider putting it on the side for to-go orders), and the soup itself was certainly not a bisque. I would liken the texture of this to a cup of warm tomato pulp. It was wholly unsatisfying, not worth the price even before delivery fees. Will likely not return to this location (or even Corner Bakery in general as this is the second location to completely botch a to-go order for me). read more

Zora is extremely unprofessional - a client of mine canceled on our meeting the morning of - giving Corner Bakery almost 5 hours in advance to cancel my ezcater order and Zora, the store manager mentioned that she at least has to charge me half of the total because they started to prepare the order. We at one time did live in Burbank but moved to Santa Monica...we still enjoy the lunch but recently started doing breakfast. Horrible!
