Super tasty breads - excellent. My wife and I came through while tonight and tried their 2 for 6.99 deal after seeing it on instagram and I was really impressed. I tried the beef sandwich, which was basically an elevated version of a traditional roast beef sandwich, but with a nice sauce and some crunchy bits on top. I also tried their shrimp scampi pasta, which was my personal favorite. Very buttery, the tomatoes had a lovely sweetness, and the shrimp were juicy too. The place was mostly empty when we arrived for an early dinner but filled up quick! The service was solid and helpful and they got everything out pretty quickly - roughly 12 min or so from order to table. We loved the deal especially...we'll be coming back to try more of the sandwiches and pastas, and kudos to corner bakery for running these deals and giving us a great excuse to get out and try something new :) read more

You pay at the counter then take a seat. Self serve coffee station allows for the perfect cup your way. Be sure to check out the pre packaged treats. Dental work today so I have soup for lunch. I guess everything is expensive now. $7.69 for a cup of soup, and $3.59 for a small drink. They are not very busy at lunch. Sad I missed the $7 panini by a day or 2. That would have been a good value. Surprised at the wait for a cup of soup....was hoping it came with bread. It didn't. Wondering how the soup is made. I have eaten at Corner Bakery in Simi Valley, Pasadena and now Burbank. CB is usually consistent in their offerings. The Roasted Tomato Basil soup is a stand out! Always served piping hot and delish. On Easter Sunday, I met a friend for brunch at the Burbank restaurant. The Tortilla Soup which my friend ordered was good. I had my fav- Roasted Tomato Basil soup. Here is where the meal goes down hill. The Chicken Carbonara was my order. While the pasta was al dente ...the Carbonara sauce was skimpy and while there were a good amount of chicken, the dish was spoiled by a scant portion of sauce. The baked goods looked enticing and I ordered two Lemon Baby Bundts. You would think at $5.19 a pop it would be outstanding. I did take the Bundts to go. They were to be dessert after dinner at home. What an epic fail !! It was dry and pitiful. HOW LONG WAS THAT BUNDT in the display case??? Very disappointed! I would drive back to Burbank and toss it at them but at the cost of gasoline it would be ludicrous. So $30.70 for the brunch. Two soups and a dry Chicken Carbonara. $10.38 for two dried out Lemon Bundts... $40 plus for a disappointing meal at CB Burbank. The saving grace are the three employees I encountered. I used to come a lot to this location cause it was convenient. But the service really sucked. I hadn't come back for about a year or so, and came a few times this past 2 weeks, and what a change. I stopped by this Corner Bakery in Burbank this morning because my wife was craving their chicken pomodori sandwich. I was already in the area getting my breakfast burrito nearby so it just worked out for me to get my wife her sandwich. I placed my order online through their website for pickup. I did it right when they open because it will not let you order ahead of time. I got my wife her chicken pomodori and got the ceasar salad as her side. It said the pickup time would be in 15 minutes so it worked out. When you get to the place the entrance is on San Fernando because the small street entrance is for exiting only. I found parking easily since I think I was their first customer of the day. They have outdoor seating here if you want to sit outside. When I walked inside, it's very quiet and seem kind of a traditional setup. There was only 1 person working and I told her that I was here for a mobile order pickup. She was very polite with me and checked that my order was all there in the bag. I took it home for my wife to eat her food and she loved it. read more

I've been going here with my family for years. I don't know if the management changed recently or if there are new workers, but the current staff is trash. The cashiers were friendly enough, but the kitchen staff didn't get us our food for 40 minutes. When my brother went up to ask for the pasta (40 minutes for pasta???) for his 1 year old daughter, they told him it would be out soon, so he waited by the counter. It had been 30 minutes at this point. The kitchen staff saw him and called him (to themselves) a spanish expletive that they assumed he wouldn't understand. It's been years since I went here. I was given the choice to choose dinner for just myself so I thought I would treat myself to what I remembered a great meal. Unfortunately, my favorite Pomodori sandwich was not impressive. I remember a warm crunchy melted cheesy sandwich. Instead I was served a lukewarm sandwich with a chilled slice of cheese. The meat was so small it didn't seem like it would include meat I had to take it to go so I wasn't able to return my meal. I was sadly disappointed and turned off going back again. In an attempt to give a place a second chance we went back after a long hiatus. We used to go every Saturday morning until they changed managers and things were never the same. BBLT sandwich had much less bacon, steel cut was served in a bowl that didn't allow toppings or milk as it used to be in a big low soup bowl, plastic silverware, expect you to clear your own table which also means no one is wiping down tables, muffin was just put in a bag instead of on a plate with butter and knife. My family used to frequent this place on Sundays for lunch. We went this past week. The place was filthy, dirty rags everywhere, tables not bussed. We ordered our food around 12:45, and it didn't arrive until 1:20, and they were missing two of our orders. When I went to ask about it, the staff was very cold. 10/10 I've truly enjoyed every moment I get here. Bianca, Joanna , Rafi and all the others have always been kind, quick with the orders and friendly in service. I usually sit outside and read a book and enjoy a coffee or a sandwich, and it's always clean and wiped down. Some of my favorite items to order here are the chicken pesto sandwich and any of their delicious homemade soups. The side small mixed salad I got was to over priced and tasteless, I ordered the balsamic dressing for my salad and instead I got a tamarindo with sugar dressing. There is no way to come back here again, and the pasta with meatballs tastes awful. the meatball is made with pork and beef but the percentage of the pork is greater than the beef and that makes the meat out of balance. It's sad how bad this place has become. If this spot wants to survive, they need major change in management and processes. The food was ok except for anything with chicken which had a bad aftertaste. The Cesar salad was actually good. But the service was horrible. After ordering, we walked over to the booth seating, and all of the tables were so dirty we had to ask someone to come clean. Once the cashier came over to "clean," she sprayed the table and quickly "wiped" just spreading the dirt around. The floors are nasty and sticky. The bathrooms are gross. Our silverware was given to us unwashed, with white sauce on both forks that I had to ask for plastic utensils. And the staff was careless even after I politely pointed out the table and dirty utensils. It all comes down to poor management who need major training.
