This place is awesome. A new twist to Mexican food, great place to go on a date, I will be bringing one of my girls there soon. I went with some coworkers there and we all loved our meals, fantastic. The iced tea is great as well. To note, they have the best table lights in the world. Fantastic place, good food, and the best table lights ever. read more

I'm writing this update because I realized I accidentally gave it four stars when it deserves 6!! excellent food and excellent service. My dad and I agreed it was some of the best Mexican food we've ever had (including in Mexico). I said it already in the review but I have to repeat, the margaritas are fantastic! (a little too good maybe based of my accidental rating) read more

What a wonderful find! Modern and well decorated with friendly and attentive staff. The margaritas were perfect and the molcajete pot was amazing. Even the tortillas were delicious and served in a leather sleeve to keep them warm. Service was excellent and our food and drinks came out quickly. Spoke with other customers who were similarly happy with their meals. Am just in town for a few days on a business trip but may have to come back tomorrow to sample some other dishes. read more

Cozy, clean, professional, the food was very delicious, took me back home to Mexico. Thank you

We had lunch here for the first time today and we will be back ! Luis was our server and he was friendly and welcoming. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. We had barria tacos and chicken suiza enchiladas. Both delicious, especially the salsa's and sauces. read more

Stopped in for a casual dinner but also to check out this new spot. Ambiance is gorgeous, you can tell they really put some TLC into the place. I had the sopecitos for dinner which I loved. Everything tasted so fresh. My boyfriend had the fajitas with shrimp and steak. He loved them and the tortillas were a wonderful authentic treat to top. Margaritas were on special for $5 and so was the beer. I believe he said $4. The bartender was attentive with checking in on us. The place wasn't very busy, which is totally lame because the decor and food are worth some hype. If your In the area stop by and welcome them to the neighborhood. We need more local small business restaurants around and this is one I think we will all enjoy. Gracías... read more

Fantastic food and atmosphere. We are still raving about it months later. Also did a very nice birthday celebration!

I'm so excited to have this restaurant so close to my house. I love Mexican food and this place makes me so happy. First of all, they serve bean dip along with the other two most amazing salsas I've ever had. So, that was a plus. We started with the guacamole and they don't skimp on the portion. My husband got the tacos al pastor. So good. I got the enchiladas verdes. Absolutely amazing and the portion is generous. I can't wait to try everything in the menu. I love that they serve more central Mexican style food. So much flavor. The service was great, kind and efficient. And the restaurant meets classy and modern. Highly recommend. read more

This is the most bland Mexican food I've had in my life. Staff was very aloof. Food was bad.

Awful! The food had no flavor, "red chili" was some kind of misguided pasta sauce. Ambiance? Non existent. This place is a closet someone put some chairs and tables. I wish I could undo going here. So bad. I've had bad Mexican food in the valley and was prepared for this not to be the best but wanted to give it a try. It ended up being one of the worst. read more

We were greated by Israel at the door and he was out waiter. Excellent service. I ordered a cucumber jalapeno margarita. Muy bueno. My husband had a Cadillac margarita and a Prickly Pear (ordered it so I could try). Both were made very well. I usually don't order fajitas anywhere but today I thought I would try them. I had a combo of chicken and shrimp. Did not disappoint. Taking my leftovers home along with house made tortillas. Husband had taco trio, says Al pastro was amazing, the best he ever had. We bookmaked this restaurant and will be back. We wish them a successful business. read more

Food was delicious! Server Armando was super friendly and helpful. We had a party of 10 and everyone wa satisfied with their meals!!! Margaritas were too bad either! read more

The food is amazing definitely recommend it & also great costumer service. I recommend the chilaquiles with birria. Super clean as well

Everything was a lot more than expected right from our arrival and through the entire evening. Our server was also the greeter at the door. She couldn't stop smiling and her excitement about the restaurant and all of its dishes was welcoming and warm. I have to day that observing her with other customers gave us the impression that she was the real deal. The complimentary chips we had with salsa and guacamole as well as a sampling of the refried beans for dipping were a great start to the meal. Two of us wanted a special drink, not one the menu: No problem! The food tasted great - we had four different dishes and all were delicious (according to the guest! We didn't do any sharing because we basically inhaled and loved what we ordered. We ordered churros with ice cream and fruit which capped the evening off nicely. We're from out of town, but next time in Phoenix - every time for that matter - we'll be back. read more

A wonderful new addition to the North Phoenix dining area that embraces the flavors of Central Mexico. Quality ingredients (beef and chicken) served with just the right amount of spice. The house margarita was well prepared and not too sweet. The restaurant has a nice upscale vibe to it. The servers are quite attentive, full of recommendations and very friendly. read more

We came on Cinco de Mayo for dinner at 5 o'clock table of four. Service was good even though they appeared understaffed. Food was outstanding amazing flavors but none of the four of us had hot food. It was warm, but not even close to hot. If they fix that, it will be five stars all the way. read more

Food was amazing with knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. Decor and lighting make for a nice meal out. We'll definitely be back!

Overall a nice experience at this restaurant in paradise valley. The decor was relaxing and a bit upscale with great wood tables , comfortable chairs and table lighting to see the menu! The food was good with a nice bean dip for eh complimentary chips. Salsas were different and ok not my taste. The waiter indicated margaritas were 5 each so we chose them and they were delicious. Servers were super helpful and friendly and they were a 5. The entrees we chose were Flautas and three taxi choice. Loved the cheese birria which was the recommendation though the carne asada was a bit dry and the carnitas not my favorite taste. Overall a great choice in north phoenix. read more

We ordered the fish, octopus, and shrimp ceviche and it might have been the best ceviche iv had in the valley, maybe ever? The only minor issue is the one dish took 30 minutes to come out. However, the staff was amazing! They discounted our meal and gave us dessert on the house without even asking. We ordered some enchiladas to go and it was amazing. Drinks and food were 10/10. Definitely coming back! read more

Food was amazing with excellent service. Best find during our trip. Definitely will be back.

Our first time trying tonight, and it exceeded our expectations. The restaurant had great ambiance and was extremely clean, the service was amazing, and the food was delicious. Some of the best fajitas I've ever had, and the house margarita was very good as well. We'll be back for sure! read more

My wife & I were on our way to one of our favorite places when on a lark, we thought to search Yelp for someplace new. CDA, with exceptional reviews, seemed to be a worthwhile proposition. Restaurant did not disappoint! Very nice environment, well appointed. Our server (Enrique) was very personable and intimately knowledgeable about the menu. Food was exceptional; we especially enjoyed the Pulpo & Chiles Rellenos (even if you don't think you would like - try). AGD now a fav of our fs!! read more

We've been here a few times and it's always delicious. The food, the preparation, cocktails and service are all excellent. I highly recommend this classy restaurant. read more

Excellent food. Very pleasant and modern interior. Great service. Highly recommended to make your way to this spot for a great experience.

This restaurant has had a major overhaul and the atmosphere is amazing. High end touches and glamorous feel. From the table and chairs, the silverware and glassware and the marble bathrooms. Food was excellent. You must order the CHICARRON RIBEYE appetizer. It was amazing. Crispy beef in creamy guacamole. I would get that for my main entrée next time it was that good. Tortillas were wonderful as well. This is a hidden gem and a must try when in Scottsdale or Phoenix. read more

My family was in town and we called and made a reservation for a party of 7. As usual, the hospitality was lovely. My brother (who is not a review/online person) got the mole negro and loved it. To me, it has a flavor with hints of molasses. My mom always loves the enchiladas. My dad and aunt got the chiles rellenos. Personally, I love a cheese chile relleno, but my family can't get enough of the beef chiles rellenos lol. I am having their leftovers for breakfast. I had aguachile- which tasted like what it is. It's not my favorite because even though the flavors are pure (I feel like there are no mystery ingredients), I prefer deeper flavors and textures, which are also easily found on the menu. You know people value their cooking when the rice and beans are good. And CDA never disappoints on their rice and beans. My only disappointment is that I asked the server (young kid) for boxes for "ALLL" the food, and he didn't really help me out on that point. It would have been tacky to keep asking, but I did feel bad that we allowed food to go back to the kitchen without finishing our plates. It's too good to waste. I hope if you're reading this you consider CDA for your next evening out. It's worthy of your consideration. read more

Best harmony of food service and ambiance I've experienced in the Phoenix area in a long time.

Food was excellent. Chile rellenos were the bomb. Atmosphere was nice too. Ordered guacamole for appetizers and churros for dessert.

We went there for an early dinner last night. I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was excellent and very friendly. The interior was nice and clean and attractive. I consider my self a connoisseur of enchiladas Suiza and theirs was absolutely outstanding! And the green salsa that came with the chips and salsa was as good as anything I've ever had, and maybe better! The refried beans with cotija cheese that came with their chips and salsa was a wonderful unexpected touch too! It is such a pleasure to go to a restaurant where they take such great pride in the preparation, quality, and presentation of their food. We are only in the area for a few days, but I honestly think we will have to come back. I normally like to experience multiple cuisines in an area, but my thoughts now are why bother? I am convinced that I will be very happy with ordering anything here. Well done! Very well done Corazon De Agave!!! read more
