We started with the bottomless mimosas, which were only $25 and absolutely worth it. For appetizers, we ordered the corn and crawfish bisque and the Louisiana crawfish beignets. Those beignets were so good--OMG! I would honestly go back just for them. They were packed with flavorful crawfish and cooked perfectly. For my entrée, I had the steak and eggs and substituted the sunny-side-up eggs for scrambled eggs. Everything was delicious, and the steak was cooked just right. The atmosphere was fantastic as well. First time customer and we really enjoyed the ambiance and the food! The customer service was top tier which can be hard to come by these days, but from the time we arrived until we left the staff was kind and welcoming. We went for brunch and their menu has so much to offer. We ordered a few shareable : pork belly (10/10), crawfish beignets with an amazing dipping sauce (12/10 ), and the watermelon salad (5/10). For our min course we ordered the steak and eggs (I substituted the potatoes for grits) and the wine pub breakfast. Both dishes were good- the steak was tender and flavorful, the eggs came with cheese which I don't prefer but didn't ask them to change so I ate 'em, and the pub breakfast was a standard bacon, eggs, hash browns, croissant and some roasted cherry tomatoes. They're have some great wine flight options, bottomless kiosks and a full bar to accommodate whatever you're in the mood for. The ambiance, music and decor made you feel like you were someplace special and fun. It's definitely worth checking out and there's only one location. Went during their brunch time and it was pretty busy but we were able to get a table easily at their indoor seating. Looking around, the place was so pretty and green, with a lot of natural lighting due to there being many windows and open doors. Once we sat our waiter came and once he heard it was our first time there, he instantly offered recommendations to us and gave us plenty of time to order. I ordered the Cubano sandwhich, crawfish beignets, and regular beignets. Everything was so good! The sandwhich came with fries as part of the order and they were crispy to perfection. The crawfish beignets are more like hush puppies though so keep that in mind! The regular beignets had a good flasky crust to them and were so pillowy. I've had a nice time every time I've come here for a workday lunch. These people have perfected the work lunch portion size. Its just enough to make you feel full but not too sleepy and you won't have leftovers. Get the affordable pick two with the cuban like I do every time. They had beignets for dessert and they weren't that great (kinda hard) but the chocolate pudding dessert was good. But how do you ruin chocolate pudding? I'm sure someone has, but not here. The drinks didn't stand out either. They weren't bad, but just kinda there. The Sazerac was good (not great) and the Old Fashioned was just over regular ice cubes. We came here for dinner. I wasn't sure what to expect after our uber driver told us this was the spot where he'd dropped many women off to have loud drinks but when we entered and throughout our dinner, it was relatively quiet. We ordered the Louisiana Crawfish Beignets and they were great, a nice indulging filling I also ordered the gumbo -it was great but I didn't taste the heartiness of the seasoning until I was at the bottom of the bowl, I would suggest stirring and scooping from the bottom to avoid this. Additionally, I ordered the Crispy Duck Confit at the suggestion of our server. It was, as I suspected a more citrusy dish that I feel contrasted against the gumbo, and the basil pesto was just a lump and I ultimately avoided adding it to my fork. The beans did meet my expectations. They were thick and savory and likely my favorite part of the dish. If I were to return, I'd go back to try the short ribs which were my first choice and I heard it was always on the menu. My companion had the redfish and I liked the bites I tried. He also felt his dish was superior to mine and he ate the entire thing. For drinks my companion ordered the Jungle Bird. It went down sweet, smooth and quick. However, they have limited mocktails and don't offer anything besides what is listed so that was a bummer for me because their options did not match my flavor profile. I stuck with water. If you want to eat here, make a reservation. We saw them turn away at least five parties during the hour and a half we were dining. This ranged from families, to friends, to date nighters. It was during this visit that my companion and I honed in on the trend in service in NOLA. In this establishment the server and staff were polite but felt rushed. Every time one person brought our plates to the table they were almost slamming them down and off with a flurry. In fact, the individual left so quickly I couldn't ask for a spoon for my gumbo so I had to wait until the server resurfaced to get one (about 1-2 mins later). read more

Yanna, our server was excellent and made our celebratory lunch even more special. We shared the pork belly and oysters and the crawfish beignets. I got the frosé and cochon du lait Cuban sandwich. I requested bbq sauce and, even though they don't have any usually, Yanna offered to grab some from Walk-Ons. She also let me know that the frosé was not quite frozen enough and checked to make sure that I was okay with its consistency before serving it to me. Her thoughtfulness was very refreshing. I've dined here about 4-5 times now, and I've never been disappointed. However, tonight was not the experience I kept coming back for. I love coming here for special occasions big or small because the service and food is always impressive. Tonight, our waiter was clearly stressed out - but I could see why. He had tables in our dining area, in the other inside area, and outside. For whatever reason that may have been, it caused us to have a less desirable experience. He asked the same questions multiple times which caused longer wait time on beverages being refilled and/or orders being put in. After the appetizer was finished, he took my silverware and never replaced it - then my food was delivered to the table and everyone else had silverware but me. I looked around and he was attending to a table outside in a different section (which obviously I wouldn't yell at him across the restaurant but it was impossible to get his attention through a glass wall.) My friend ended up taking from the table next to us since we saw the waiter was busy. He was super nice but, again, very stressed out. With that being said, we were understanding and still tipped him properly but he even took the credit card for us to pay the bill, and returned it without swiping it. I could have easily just left without paying my bill but I immediately brought it to his attention. Also, when I asked for recommendations on what food to order - he didn't seem too knowledgeable and everything he suggested was because it was "good". All in all, I think this server could use some guidance from a manager and less tables until he can get where he needs to be (again i think him having multiple sections was a factor.) Food was delicious as always, but my mom's mushroom/shrimp risotto only had two shrimp so that was a bummer. I was also not impressed with presentation. I loved the organic but modern theme of the restaurant - their patio space looked so cozy and beautiful! The interior was modern with back lighting on the bar and comfortable high tops with some booth seats as well. The staff was attentive and polite. Their vegetarian/vegan options are a little slim - you can order from the small bites/shareable section or there's a burger you can make vegetarian with the impossible patty. We opted for the burger and instead of fries I got the creole potato salad. And the beignets were amazing! We tried a few dishes, and I went with the meat and cheese charcuterie boards--my go-to when I'm here, since they usually come together. I also had the truffle fries, which were good but didn't have as strong a truffle flavor as I was hoping for. My husband had the oyster appetizer, which he thought was delicious, and he really liked the burger as well. I had the summer sangria, which was refreshing and tasted amazing. The espresso martini was fine but not anything special. One thing I love about this spot is the division between the outdoor area, which has a livelier vibe, and the quieter indoor space. It really sets the right tone depending on what you're in the mood for. The staff was super friendly, and our waiter nailed the balance of giving us space while still being attentive when we needed him. I visited Copper Vine twice during a recent work trip to New Orleans and would have gone back a third time if time had allowed. The first visit was for a hosted reception. We were taken upstairs to the venue's private event space, which was beautiful and spacious, with several different rooms and seating areas. We were served plated appetizers- I saw tuna tartare, deviled eggs and bacon wrapped dates- and an assortment of flatbreads, all of which was very tasty. On my second visit, I met a friend for late night drinks and bites and enjoyed the strawberry spritz and Cajun carrots (delicious.) We sat downstairs in the beautiful dining room, and it was nice to experience a different part of the restaurant. On both occasions, the service was great. I've been to Copper Vine twice, both times for lunch, and enjoyed really great experiences both times. Firstly, the ambiance of Copper Vine is fantastic. It's probably one of the most beautiful restaurants in downtown New Orleans and feels as if you've stepped into an entirely different city, or into an actual Architectural Digest feature. The modern aesthetic combined with the cozy vibes and lush greenery is a perfect oasis for an office escape. Both times I've enjoyed fantastic service here that did not skip a beat. Copper Vine offers a fantastic "pick two" lunch menu that's the perfect portion and is relatively inexpensive. I've always chosen the duck + andouille sausage gumbo as one of my options - it's that good! I've also tried their cochon de lait cuban and the LA crawfish grilled cheese. Between the two, I'd pick the cuban. Other items on the menu I've had were the pork belly + corn fried oysters, margherita flatbread, and cajun carrots. All these items were delicious!
