Let's start with it has air conditioning! If you know about the NOLA heat then you'll appreciate that. I ordered the gator bites with the jalapeno slaw. It was delicious and spicy . Had fried rice as a side... Very mushy but flavor was ok. They have brunch and Frozen drinks as well. I had a jumbo glass of Prosecco.

Pleasant surprise! We stopped for a bite after a few hours at the WWII museum while walking around town. The menu looked good and the staff was very welcoming at the front door. Plus the decorations were super cute. Tacos were good. The plantains were amazing. And the fries were the perfect snack. Next time we're in town we will be back!

We were in town for a cruise and chose this spot based on recommendations at the hotel. We wanted something within walking distance that was family friendly. The place was bright and colorful and we were greeted right away. No crowds even though it was Saturday evening. We didn't walk outside, the host said the patio was full. Seated "upstairs" at a wobbly table. My husband was given a pile of napkins by the male that looked to be the manager( not the male that seated us). He was put off a little because no way was he going to get on the floor and fix the table. Our waitress came by, took our orders and when told about the table, she offered to fix it and did. There was a stack of coasters keeping it from wobbling and I guess they had fallen. Might be time to get rid of that table. Food service was fast and the food delicious. I had the Shrimp A Go Go po boy and it was very good. Dressed, lots of huge shrimp and a spicy sauce. The sandwich was huge and I was hungry, I almost finished it, which says a lot since I can't eat a big meal. Really cute place, lots of photo ops and a tablet at the front to do gifs and pics. Definitely recommend but watch out for wobbly tables.

Had to grab dinner and hotel recommended this restaurant and it was a great choice, started off rocky but in the end all was all good. The checkin was quick and we had plenty of options to choose from. The tables were wobbly so we ask to move or fix and the manager gave us a folded up napkin and that didn't work so the waitress fixed it and all was well. The food choice was grilled shrimp and Gouda grits, Go go spicy shrimp poboy, fried shrimp platter, lone star burger and fries, kids chicken bites, taste of New Orleans (jambalaya, red beans and rice, gumbo).

Note: do not go if you're in a super rush! It's is excellent if you want to hangout with friends to have brunch, drinks or whatever. The staff were all very kind and helpful! I had a great time, was well decorated. Got the flamingo frozen drink, the Parmesan chicken bites and their loaded fries. It was amazing

Mimosas

Flamingo a go go has a great deal on bottomless mimosas with the purchase of an entree for $21 during brunch. I tried prickly pear, orange juice, mango and strawberry. The staff was great. They checked on us often and kept the drinks flowing. There's outdoor seating as well but it was raining the day we visited.

Came for lunch on a weekday. It was one of those instances where you make a reservation then show up and the place is empty, so you don't even mention you had a reservation lol. I sat at the bar. There were a couple people sitting outside in the patio. I had the garlic parm chicken bites and garlic fries. I love salty fries and these fries were TOO salty for me. The chicken bites were great & a large portion. I also had the frozen flamingo - as a sober person, it made me happy seeing that they had a premade frozen drink that wasn't alcoholic. It tasted like fruit punch.

This place is so cute! I love the inside! They have a huge outdoor balcony where bands can come play as well. We ordered the pepperoni pizza or flatbread and it was okay. We had the "Blue Drank and some Froze's and those were all good! But mostly sugar so we had to get an extra shot of vodka to put on top and mix it in. Service was great. We sat right at the bar. She always checked in on us.

Fun lunch spot. We dined inside as it was a little breezy outside. I had the blackened chicken with jambalaya and I really enjoyed it. My husband and one other guest had the Taste of New Orleans, while our 4th dining companion had the shrimp po boy with garlic fries. It was all good. Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service. She was quick and efficient as was the wait to receive our food. I enjoyed the decor and would definitely return!

Love the atmosphere at this place! We came as a big group and they sat us outside in a shaded area. It was so nice! I got the eye-opener burger and it was delish! Loved the homemade sauce on the burger. Was it worth the $20? I don't think so. This place is pretty overpriced in my opinion, but that's the area! They do have some great weekly deals though! Loved my $3 Frose! Our service was ok, nothing to go crazy about! But overall I would come back! A great place for big groups to come or for celebrations.

So much variety of food and huge portions. There is a ton of outdoor and indoor seating, perfect for large groups. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Solid food and good place for a quick bite or come with friends.

The atmosphere here is great! We sat outside in the big truck and it was a great experience! The food here is delicious! I got the shrimp a go go poboy with garlic fries. It was so tasty! Service was great too!

Ask the Community - Flamingo A Go Go

Are pets allowed for outside dining?

Yes! They have a doggie menu too!

Does anyone know if they have brunch on Fridays? And if bottomless mimosas are an option? Thanks!

Thursday-Sunday all day menu!!

Are there TVs outside to watch football?

There are TVs throughout flamingo a-go-go. The bar area has the most TVs, but you can also watch outside. Don't forget the $10 bottomless mimosa special for noon games!!

Picking up visitors from airport. Saturday, very late night, 11:30pm - Midnight'ish. They'll have a 10 & 13yr old with them. Will the kids be allowed to eat here at that time?

Yep!

Are there fans on the patio? Also can you make reservations to sit in the truck? Are there fans there?? :)

Yes yes and yes! Big AC units also!

I love everything about the drink menu! Does anyone know, if they have any food that can be made vegan so that I can drink to my heart's content in this super cool environs, but also be able to eat so that I don't have to leave?

We would be happy to make you something to fit your needs.

What's parking like in this area? Wondering how difficult it is to get to + get parked

There are 2 pay-lots on that corner. And lots of street parking.

Apps say starting @ $5, but what does that include? And what about the flocktails?

We have 11 different apps for Happy Hour, they range in price but start at only $5. We have several different "Flocktails" and they start at $5 also!

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.
