I can't believe it's been a whole year since my last visit to Gianna up until recently. We came in on a busy Friday night without a reservation and got lucky with two seats at the bar. We ordered pizza, pasta and breadsticks. It was all delicious. I have to go back very soon!

10/10 and would definitely return. I went in shortly after they opened for the day and sat at the bar. I had a glass of the Sparkling Chardonnay (Trentino. Ferrari 'Perle' 2017) - so good & crisp. More like a blend of Sauvignon Blanc & Prosecco than a Chardonnay. I started with the Brussels Sprout & Kale Salad - phenomenal. It does have red onion, which is not mentioned on the menu- luckily I was able to pick them out. For the main dish, Rigatoni Alla Amatriciana- delicious. The pasta could have been cooked 1-2 more minutes for my liking but the flavor was outstanding, had a nice spicy kick, and it wasn't a huge portion. Service and atmosphere were great.

We were on the hunt for an Italian restaurant to celebrate our last night in New Orleans. We are honestly sick of eating Cajun food for the last three days. We were a little concerned because we did have a to go cocktail in her hands when we walked into this very nice establishment. Nobody said a single thing or even flinched, which truly shouldnt surprise us due to the location. We sat at the large bar and was greeted in a reasonable amount of time. This is a very nice and upscale kind of restaurant, so it's always surprising when you see people sitting down with their baseball caps on. We ordered a pasta dish, aside of meatballs and bread. It's a crime to leave leftover pasta sauce, so the bread was needed. It did not disappoint. We both had a glass of red wine, which after the second glass, we should've just bought the bottle. I believe it was $15 a glass which after looking on the bill was more expensive than the food. Everything was very delicious and met our expectations for our last night in New Orleans.

I was in New Orleans for a conference and stopped by Gianna for dinner with a friend. We had such a lovely time with great food and a great atmosphere. It's a beautiful restaurant with plenty of space for dining. We stopped by during the week so reservations were easy to make. We loved the ambiance and it's great for catching up with friends or even a date night. The service was great! Our server was charming, made us feel welcomed and took good care of us. For dinner we shared a pizza, meatballs and I had the lamb lasagna. Everything hit the spot especially the lamb lasagna. I was a little nervous about the mushrooms since they aren't my favorite, but I really enjoyed it! I would order it again and would highly recommend. The drinks were also really good. Gianna is be great for a full meal or for after work drinks. Overall we had a great time and I will definitely return next time I'm in New Orleans.

I was in New Orleans for my birthday, and i decided to have my dinner at Gianna! I absolutely loved it! Thank you , especially my waiter! He made my birthday extraaa special ! They even gave me a cute surprise ( meatball with a candle) and the menu says happy birthday Marlene! LOVE ITTTT! The food was delicious! And the service is impeccable! If you're ever in New Orleans pls stop by and grab some delicious food! The ambiance of the restaurant and service is top tier!

Amazing Italian food with super modern & cute atmosphere! We were a party of 11 celebrating a friend's birthday on a Wednesday evening. Our server was Terrie and she did a phenomenal job of explaining the menu, answering our questions, and also giving recommendations when we couldn't decide (most of us had 2-3 options we were stuck between because it all sounded so good!) I would say she went above and beyond my expectations for a server. I drank the Il Piccionne which is similar to a spicy margarita but tastes even better. It was a large glass, not skimpy on the tequila, and so smooth. For an app I had the calamari. Hands down the best calamari I've ever tasted. Would absolutely order again. My meal was the lamb lasagna, which came with a fresh and delicious side salad. The lamb lasagna gets a lot of hype in these reviews and for good reason! It was absolutely delicious. My only regret is that I couldn't eat more of it before getting full I didn't try any of their desserts bc we had birthday cake, but their selections look delicious. I would love to try their espresso martini since all the drinks we ordered were so good. Great spot for dates, treating someone to a nice dinner, or celebratory meal. Will for sure be back!

Ended up seated at a small 2 top at the back, which was honestly great because it wasn't as noisy back there (although did feel like had to talk a bit loud & listen closely to hear my friend for most of dinner). Wasn't super hungry so got the chopped salad and a side of potatoes in case the salad wasn't enough. Honestly didn't even need the potatoes. The salad was as soooo good. Second time I've had a great salad here. Decent pasta options as well, just wasn't craving pasta on this last visit. Server was nice and energetic and made sure when my drink was low that a new one was on its way.

Must admit I am very surprised this restaurant is in NOLA. The menu and cuisine is so different yet so delicious that if you are willing to try different cuisine while in NOLA... this is your spot. The ambiance is quaint. It's perfect for friends gathering or an 1st date. The plates can be shareable and so glad we shared! Not your typical Italian dishes. Extremely unique and beyond tasty! The desserts were DELICIOUS! The service was perfect. Since it was my 1st time, the wait staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about their menu. Some dishes were their recommendation... and they were right! Stop by ... try Gianna out... price point is $$$$, but it's worth every penny!!!

Restaurant is in this beautiful building.

We came here after after going to another place to have breakfast and were not attended to, so after about five minutes we walked out and while walking down the street we saw this place and looked it up on Yelp and decided to give this place a try and glad we did. The service was great and it seems like everyone from the courthouse and surrounding corporate businesses come here for lunch. We came on a weekday around noon and it was pretty busy. We walked here, but there is parking on the street right out front. I had the Lamb Lasagna and it was different but great. Prices are fair, I am comparing to California prices.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

It started the moment we walked in. Glancing at the hostess, asking "OK to sit at the bar?", getting a nod, sitting down. An experience we've done in hundreds of restaurants. (We had reservations for a table but often prefer the bar.) The bartender -- whom we believe was named Mike -- started off his interaction with new customers as follows. "Did you check with the hostess?" I nodded in the affirmative, apparently that wasn't enough. "Check with the hostess", he ordered. I got up, went over the hostess stand, and confirmed, this time so "Mike" could see, that it was OK for us to sit at a half-empty bar. (In retrospect, we should have gotten up and walked out immediately, but it was late and even in the Quarter most places were closing for dinner.) You see, Mike clearly didn't want to be working that night. He was rude, inattentive, and condescending. And not just to us, to everyone seated at the bar. Slow making drinks, slow asking for orders, seething contempt for his customers. One time we asked to see a drink menu to decide on a new drink, he said, and this is a direct quote, "Do you want to see it or do you want to review it?" Mike's behavior was clearly well-known to the staff, because another staff member, who was off-shift and next to us at the bar, witnessed this behavior and arranged for a free dessert on the house (classy move on her part). She confided in us that Mike's pretty much always like that, but that he's a buddy of the general manager so seemingly un-fireable. Well, here's hoping someone reads this and thinks the better of Doris Metropolitan, or at least sitting at the bar. Unless you think service you'd get in a Paris tourist trap cafe is appropriate for a high-end steakhouse, you're better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.

This place advertises burlesque shows and "Shibari", however I did not see any of that during my visit. I do not dock points though because I'm certain there's a schedule that shows when these events occur. If you're interested in seeing one, best to make sure when they're taking place. There are security cameras all over the bar so this location can remain sex-positive and safe for guests. After ordering myself a drink, I chose to relax in their bright pink room with the large bean bag and teddy bear. This was my favorite spot for its light-hearted and playful atmosphere, although the room next to it was pretty exciting as well--with its black-and-white paintings of kinky exhibitionists. During my visit, I noticed that there was a collection of leftover glasses from previous guests. Since it was a slow Sunday night, I thought there would've been ample time for an employee to clean up that area beforehand. There was one barista that night, and while she was kind and made excellent cocktails, her voice was really low--making it difficult to hear her over the music. I'm glad the bar was empty, or else I may have not been able to hear her properly. Aside from those minor concerns with cleanliness and communication, I'd still say to give Fetiche Nola a shot if you're looking for a unique place to start off a long night of partying. We arrived sans reservation, but were whisked straight into the courtyard -- arguably the best seat in the house on a pleasant Louisiana evening. Between the soft night air and the glow of the courtyard, the atmosphere alone deserved applause. The cocktails arrived first and immediately set a dangerously high standard: beautifully crafted, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drinks that make you consider canceling your plans afterward. Fortunately, the food rose to the occasion. The edamame and roasted Brussels sprouts disappeared with alarming speed, and the Amelie Salad was a standout -- generously portioned, fresh, vibrant, and substantial enough to be an entrée or ideal for sharing if you're pretending to be civilized. A special nod to Liz, who elevated the entire experience with spot-on recommendations, warm hospitality, and the rare ability to be both attentive and effortlessly relaxed.
