Amazing place in Tacoma. I loved everything about this restaurant, from the option of valet to the seating arrangements. Food is fresh and tastes super yummy! We went out here for a girls night out, and it was everything we needed to take a break from it all. Our servers were attentive and informative but not overbearing. We all ordered something different and were able to share it all! I didn't order a drink but I heard the drinks were over the top and highly recommended from my friends. My favorite from that night was the pasta entrees. Everything was delicious but I haven't been able to find somewhere in Tacoma that serves something like that in pasta form in a long time. It has an Ethan Stowell component so it impressed me. We will be back! read more

Breakfast is a bit pricey, but definitely some of the best hollandaise I've ever had and I love eggs Benny! Beautiful restaurant located in the hotel and staff was super friendly. The chef gave me two extra eggs because they felt they overcooked the first set. So nice! read more

My first time here and was excited by the menu I saw on Google. Let me preface this by saying that the Google menu is nowhere close to the menu that's actually at Copper and Salt. Lesson learned. Don't go getting your hopes up by looking at a Google menu and be ready to order things when three out of three aren't on the actual menu. I ordered the beet and avocado salad with the Tuscan kale. The salad was 80% kale and 20% orange, avocado, goat cheese and beets. It was A LOT getting through all that kale with not many of the other stars to support it. And why cut everything so small when you have a sea of kale? For dinner ordered the calamari, shrimp and Italian sausage served with bucatini. I could discern the rings of calamari, but when it came to the legs, they all measured about a half an inch and were very hard to find. The shrimp were nice except please, take the tails off because even though you might like the presentation, I struggled with getting them off without taking part of the shrimp with it and having no place to put the shells. The sausage was cut up in quarters and quite frankly looked like something from a grocery store. I think it would have been much nicer to have it in a rougher state as I'm thinking that the sausage is homemade? Also, being a much lighter sauce, it doesn't support having bucatini as a pasta. It would have been much better with an angel hair because quite frankly, there's not a lot of sauce to be soaked up through the holes of the bucatini. Lastly, I think it was probably 60 something degrees in the dining room. Pretty chilly although I would err on the side of that versus having it too warm. Love the ambiance. Back to the menu, I was told the chef was in the middle of changing the menu, but I would hope it would have been more in sync with the menu on Google. I get it that Google's not always the most accurate but still... Sorry I usually have pics to support my reviews. The bucatini presentation was beautiful, the sea of kale salad, not so much. I wouldn't run to go here for dinner and I'm not seeing any management replies to reviews here. That's a little concerning. read more

Triple Threat: Great food, Great service, and Great View. We absolutely loved our dinner. We were celebrating a birthday and had a party of seven. Our server, Sabrina, was extremely professional and friendly. We were never without anything and we enjoyed her friendly interactions with our group. We ordered a lot of food and everything was delicious and the presentations were impressive. The VIEW makes it worth eating here even if the food and service was bad. Fortunately, the food and service are great. Also, the complementary valet is nice. We highly recommend Copper & Salt and Sabrina. read more

I've been here a handful of times and it's just never consistent. The prices drastically changed almost overnight for their brunch mimosa specials from when we first started coming here. Then another time we were waiting for SO long in a huge line at the hostess desk and no one ever came by to even check in on the line for at least 20 minutes. This is most likely a staffing issue. Inconsistent service / food - usually always means they don't have enough people working. So it boils down to why aren't people working there? Poor management? Overloading employees? Not paying them enough? They need to figure it out. The place gets busy because it's a hotel and it's got a great view of the water, but I won't return again. We left the last time we came here and went to the pizza restaurant next door and ended up having an amazing experience over there in comparison. read more

Slow service, kind of weird food with ingredients that don't mesh that well. Expensive. Great view.

This is a lovely place to meet for Sunday breakfast or brunch. The view is spectacular! The food so yummy.

Our brunch at Copper and Salt NW Kitchen was excellent in every way. All 6 of us raved about our meals (Salmon Benedict, regular Ham Benedict, pancakes and extras). We intend to return as soon as possible. The water view of Commencement Bay was beautiful on the sunny day we were there (can't guarantee the sunny day). Service was excellent, they even seated us early to wait for the rest of our party. I enthusiastically recommend Copper and Salt. read more

I haven't had food this good since I went to Paris cafe by Jean-George in the TWA hotel at JFK in NYC. Amazing cuisine. Thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Beautiful plating, too. The service was polite, but not friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience, either way. Immaculate view of the ocean from the bar, and most of the tables. I also love how it was more on the quiet side, gives a more personable experience. Will be returning, and recommending. read more

Great food and drinks every time. The ambience is top notch. The service is always good and respectful of my time.

My friend took me out for lunch for my birthday. The view is beautiful from the window seating! We went on a busy, sunny Saturday and yet we were seated right away without a reservation. Our server was attentive. The food was good. But I don't think it was anything super special. I didn't realize they were still serving breakfast/brunch menu even until around 2pm. I would've liked more lunch/dinner options to choose from. Check their hours for what meals they serve before making plans! read more

From start to finish, really great experience. Our server was attentive and really great at explaining the specials and answered questions, amazing! The focaccia was so fantastic we ordered it twice! Our party enjoyed the he pork chop, lamb bolognese, pork bolognese, confit duck and butternut squash and sage pasta. Everything was so flavorful. We ended the meal with the tiramisu and sticky toffee pudding, they were divine! I love the vibe of the restaurant, it is airy and calm. read more

This place is absolutely amazing and totally worth the money. Between my girlfriend and I we spent $120 after tip which I felt like was so reasonable for everything we got. The food was so so fresh and just mouth melting. I'm so glad my girlfriends and I could come and just indulge here. We will definitely be returning for a girls night so we can experience the hotel too. read more

This is our first time eating here! We like to try new places so this was up our radar. Our server Whitney was awesome. She was super quick, friendly and attentive. The host Caleb was very welcoming and friendly. The manager Carlo made sure to connect with a lot of his customers and made us feel welcomed. As you can see, we tried quite a bit. Everything from the left to right was SO GOOD! Although, I recommend the Lamb chops & the Meatballs! Thanks to the chef who made it to perfection. The service, the food, the ambiance was all a 10/10! read more

Ambiance was great, super cool vibe. Food was decent, good selection, but was cooked in way too much oil and no bread/butter...food temp was very inconsistent as well. Service was good, our waitress was quite pleasant, but drinks took longer than our food even though we put that order in first. It's a new restaurant, so I think they are still working out a lot of kinks; but overall, it was a good dining experience. I would probably go back to try again in the summer, hopefully by then they'll be on point. This place has a lot of potential. Pro tip, their desserts are delicious and use valet, they validate! read more

I ordered the vegan scramble and only the potatoes had some sort of flavor. The scramble itself was so gross and they had limited sauce options for you to add to the dish. No one in my party was pleased with the food at all. The high price doesn't match its value whatsoever. The only saving grace was the service. read more

I took my girlfriend there for dinner. While I had previously enjoyed breakfast there several times, this dinner experience was terrible. We ordered clams as an appetizer, and two were raw, while two were completely empty. My pork chop was raw in the middle, and my friend ordered a flatbread pizza, which turned out to be a deep-dish pizza. The manager's responses were unacceptable; he said people used to eat raw pork, and the pizza was called flatbread because the restaurant next door was a pizza place. We had the pizza and pork chop removed from the bill, but the manager should have been removed! The waitress was very apologetic, but I will not return or recommend this restaurant. read more

I got the copper verde flat bread and Brussels sprouts on the side. The flat bread was good I'd give it a 6.5/10. I was looking for something light but was still craving bread, not something I'd eat all at once I'd share this or eat over time since it's sliced into 6 pieces. The Brussels sprouts were delicious I really enjoyed them I'd give them an 8/10. read more

Great service. Sabrina was amazing. We had the duck ragu, scallops, gnocchi and lasagna along with wedge salads. All tasted amazing and great presentation. Drinks were so yummy. Lavender martini and the espresso martini both great options. Dessert of limoncello tarts and chocolate tarts were perfection. Highly recommend. Restaurant has great vibe. Copper and Salt is a modern Italian American restaurant at the Silver Cloud hotel in Ruston, Tacoma. The location has lots of easy parking nearby. The interior decor is very spacious and attractive and the dining room has a great view of the waterfront. Service was prompt and helpful and responsive to our needs as we were attending with a young child. The menu selection is poor. There weren't many appealing dishes and little that excited me. My choice was "Half Roasted Chicken". I am sad I didn't take a photo of this, but it was a boneless breast (with only part of the breast meat), and boneless thigh. There was no sign of a wing or leg at all, and the potatoes (listed on the menu as fingerlings) were completely spherical and in no sense fingerling. I prefer my chicken bone-in, but also I expect a half-chicken to have at least most of half a chicken. Disappointing. The restaurant is billed as Copper and Salt (exciting to my wife who is a fancy salt enthusiast), and the room was decorated with various salts. But none of the menu items offered varied salts, and it wasn't possible to ask for a special kind of salt at the table. Not recommended for dinner. read more

I didn't want to review this restaurant originally. I have lived in Tacoma for a minute. Compared to other restaurants along the waterfront at Ruston, this one doesn't hit that high! Yeah It's in a hotel but aside from that it was very distracting Sunday morning! I prefer to sit with my back against the wall. Staff gave me a sit were it was exposed and politely told me the section next to my seat was close, than proceeded to sit everyone else behind me. There was crumbs all over the floor and table I was seated in, which kinda was odd because I was the first to sit there. another patron complained and they took their time Cleaning off her seat and table. I can't remember the food....which can tell u something. Better go across the parking lot to Wildfin, 571, or even the Ram down the way! read more

Food , service, atmosphere 10/10. This place is Incredible and is going on our top 10 date night locations . We loved it so much that I wish we were staying in the hotel . Hoping the incredible service we received is reminiscent of the whole building . Views are second to none. The restaurant is aesthetically very pleasing . Our server was excellent and went the extra for us . Highly recommend the appetizer oysters and my most favorite handmade pasta pappardelle with mushrooms, delicious . The focaccia was a little too salty for me . read more

Copper and Salt is a hip, swanky restaurant located in the Silver Cloud Hotel. The atmosphere is perfect for dates, parties, and happy hours. located right on the water, the restaurant posts views of the sound that would be amazing, especially during the summer. Sabrina, our server, was so helpful and patient with our many questions about the menu. The lamb chops were my favorite entree. They were cooked perfectly, and complemented well by the sweet potato purée and pickled jicama. I was full, but the best decision I made all night was ordering the ganache tart for dessert. It was truly heaven, definitely one of those desserts that literally melts in your mouth. My husband's favorite part was the chocolate cookie crumb crust. We will make a point to come back when we are in Tacoma again. read more

I had brunch here for my birthday. The food and portion sizes were good. It was a nice atmosphere.

The restaurant is Located at the silver cloud inn and hotel. The service was exceptional from the start. The courtyard is spotless and the valet greeted us right away. The valet answered all of our questions and accommodated all of our needs. They prefer you be a guest, or dining at the restaurant to take advantage of the free valet, so keep this in mind when parking. The host (who may have been the manager) greeted me right away and again accommodated all of my requests. There are huge booths (my favorite) and the bar stools are well cushioned with backs. The location is breathtaking. Pretty much the entire bar and dining room overlooks the water, not to mention the patio with fire pits and heaters. The decor is fabulous and you can tell this place values cleanliness. I got the side Caesar, it was perfection. I didn't try the croutons but something tells me they would have been fire! They have espresso even decaf and alternative milk for the non dairy drinkers like me. My latte was perfect. I ordered the spaghetti with a meatball and it was super yummy. I wish I could have stayed to try more and I bet everything else is just as delicious. read more

Amazing vibe with amazing bartenders. The gentleman Chris and Chris both had a genuine passion for their craft and it showed with the knowledge of the spirits being served and the attention to detail on the cocktails being made. Copper and Salt is located in the Silver Cloud Hotel location that is at Ruston Point. After going through the hotel we already decided we will want to stay here overnight since we liked the look of the hotel so much. But that will be for another time. This time it's all about Copper and Salt. We went here for breakfast and we really enjoyed it a lot. Not only was the food was great but you get a view of the water which is always enchanting. For my breakfast I got the Pork Belly Hash. It was a very good dish! Wow! Was it salty! What do you expect with Pork Belly though? Steve's breakfast was wonderful with sausage and eggs that made up the most of it. Very flavorful! I also got a fantastic Bloody Mary and Steve got an awesome Mimosa so it was definitely a good meal with those drinks too! I'd love to try their pancakes sometime which easily makes up my decision upon our return back here for a breakfast meal. read more

Had wanted to try dinner, but decided to do brunch. It was a great choice. The dining room is beautiful and pretty much every table has a view of the water, mountains and island. The real stand out was how friendly, helpful and efficient the entire staff was. I'd go back just for that. The brunch menu is not super extensive but has plenty to choose from. We got a breakfast burrito and the garden omelette. Both were excellent and came with really excellent home fried potatoes. We also had a mimosa and a bloody mary. Both drinks were great. Prices were reasonable. Food was good. Portions were perfect. Nice atmosphere. We will be back! read more

The restaurant and view were beautiful. The staff were attentive but seem slightly annoyed at the fact that my date and I were talking more than eating. The food itself was decent. We went in for a date night and it was such a vibe! First we ordered our drinks, I got the lavender cocktail and my partner got the milk & honey cocktail. They were strong, but good!! For our appetizers we got the Caesar salad, pan fried oysters, and focaccia bread. My partner ended up eating the pan fried oysters and salad as his meal because the portion was pretty big! The cheese dip for the focaccia bread was so good and had a little kick to it. For my entree I ordered the bucatini alla rosa and I'm so glad I went with it! The pasta was giving lemony alfredo. Tasted a lot better than expected! Not sure why there are a lot of bad reviews but we had a great experience. The staff was great and the food was delish! Bonus: valet is complimentary! read more

First visit, underwhelming... beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. Our waitress not so friendly or helpful. My Caesar salad was okay, beautiful lettuce but cheap powdered cheese and a few croutons (tasted like boxed). Octopus was chewy, too much lime, and I didn't understand the bean. The chicken dish was awful, overcooked & dry, and to flat breast not half a chicken. The scallops were good but tasted like lime. Overpriced meal... read more

Food and our server were amazing- would highly recommend! However, we were asked to leave due to "a reservation for our table". For context we were seated for happy hour at 3:45, ordered apps drinks and eventually dinner. We were considering dessert when a manager came over at 5:50 and informed us that we needed to either move tables or leave as there was a reservation for our table coming at 6:00pm. There were 2 other nearly identical tables open next to us, so I am totally confused as to why this was necessary. We spent over $300 so it's not as if we were wasting table space. Our waitress seemed totally confused when we didn't order dessert and just paid the tab so clearly it wasn't her decision. Such a bummer way to spoil an otherwise wonderful evening. TL;DR Amazing food just don't stay too long read more

Too bad the Food ( which is the most important part) did not match up to the ambiance and service. Unfortunately, the chicken added to the Caesar Salad lacked any and all flavor, not even salt & pepper. While the Gnocchi was extremely rich the "Homemade" Italian sausage was at best store bought generic sausage and the gnocchi were gummy and gritty. Not to mention, how do you serve a dish like this and not even offer a piece of crusty bread for the sauce? For the prices charged, I expect more. But I'm sure it was important to have cloth hand towels in the bathrooms. read more
