I had a really great dining experience here today, and although it's been awhile since I Yelped, I'm motivated to give this establishment a shout out. I bellied up to the bar (my preferred seating) and ordered the Taco Tuesday special, Pork Tostadas. The chunks of perfectly seasoned pork melted in my mouth, and married beautifully with the freshly made-homemade-beans, freshly diced tomatoes and green onion, fresh homemade tostada shells, lots of fresh sliced avocados, salsa side, and a good portion of thick sour cream (as opposed to the sports bar restaurant across the street whose stingy with their sour cream side). Great service also, I washed it down with a few glasses of decent house chard, and got a takeout box for the rest that will make another meal. Oh yeah, only $17.00 for the meal special. read more

I was super excited when North End on Pearl opened because it's just down the street from our house. It's fine. Not my favorite place, just because it has a sports bar kind of feel, but I do enjoy live music. I'm not a big fan of the menu. I feel like there could be a wider variety of vegetarian options. My significant other had the chicken strips last time we were there and he said those were good. When I go to the bar to order a drink, I feel like the service isn't great. However, last time we were in, we had a woman serving us and she was pretty awesome. I'm sure I will be in again, just because it's so close. read more

Went in tonight (a Monday), not too busy. Sat at a table because it does say open seating. Waited for about 10mins watching the waitress stand at the bar on their phones. No acknowledgment that we were even there. We have been here 3 times with great service and food and plan to be regulars with being fisherman down at Point Defiance. I visited this establishment with several friends. Food is really good, ambiance was good, however, I would have provided a 5 star but our service was not so good. Server only took a few of our orders, we had to keep flagging her down to take the rest of our groups orders which left us all eating at different times. A few times had to go ask another server to help us out. We are an older, non rowdy, group of friends. Other than our service experience it's a great venue to enjoy music, drinks, and dancing. Waitress didn't write it down and came back asking what our order was again (again didn't write anything down). So we're waiting skins came out with tomatoes, wrap came out with tater tots and then the bacon sandwich came out not plain. Sent the sandwich back and it came out wrong, AGAIN! Never saw the original waitress, they never gave us plates for appetizers and didn't give us any silverware until I asked for it. It seems like Eggs Benedict is a good indicator on whether a restaurant is worth it's salt. The Benedict had an ok flavor but the Hollondaise was a bit lumpy and congealed and the ham was chunks of ham not a slice. My husbands Denver omelet was "fine". Kids pancakes were enjoyed by one kiddo and the French Toast by another. One thing about restaurants that bugs me as a parent of a picky kid - please describe what you're getting. The French Toast is two small slices of baguette - our kiddo was skeptical. If you have kids, you know it's incredibly helpful to know what's coming on their plate. Half the arcade like games were out of order. The server was nice and attentive. We're really hoping they work out the kinks because so far it was mildly disappointing. read more

Such a disappointment. Friends told us about this place so we met another couple there to try it out. We waited in the bar for 20 minutes waiting to order food and drinks. Four employees visited amongst themselves without ever approaching us. They know we were there because they made eye contact with us plus the bar is quite small.
