The establishment for food is 5 stars no questions. But the service has been mediocre lately, and the server and the hostess have been impatient especially last weekend. I haven't reviewed Farrellis because it has always been a top notch go to place for our family. I enjoy the crisp crusts, the extra melted cheesiness and fresh salads. Our go to is the meat eaters and their happy hour unto 6pm 20% off all pizzas. The plus is if you have a child they always bring out a kids plate for them- on the house! My friend and I came in on a whim for lunch. We both had not been to a Farrelli's in so long that we thought we would give it a go. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside there was seating in the bar which looked quite large and in the restaurant area. Near the bathroom area, there were some claw machines. I thought it was interesting that in the dining area, there was a big tv which showed the claw machine area. For lunch I got a dirty soda, a cup of soup, and a pizzini. I forget what the dirty soda was called but it was a Dr. Pepper with, I believe, strawberry without the cream. The Soupa Tacoma was so creamy and full of veggies and meat. It came with some garlic bread which complimented it so well. The grinder pizzini was so tasty. The pizza crust was nice and chewy. The veggies and meat in it were light and fresh. Came here while visiting close by at Point Defiance park, we didn't realize there was a Farrelli's location here so decided to try this location based on a great experience in the Maple Valley area. We were once again really happy with our visit. We decided to sit in the bar area as there was no wait. The server was friendly, and suggested some ice tea flavors. Their ice tea is really good. We ordered the mushroom appetizer and a chicken bacon ranch pizza. The appetizer was fantastic, way better than expected, it comes with fresh garlic bread that is delicious. We read reviews before entering the door into Farrelli's Pizza. Feeling apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, my opinion quickly changed to feeling welcomed and valued. When we checked in, we were greeted with a friendly welcome by the Host who sat us in less than ten minutes on a mildly busy Monday night. When we sat, we were welcomed by our WONDERFUL and FRIENDLY Server Jenny. She was beyond amazing as she explained all her favorite items on the menu. We decided on the Award-Winning NW Pizza. My husband, who is a picky pizza eater, said after dinner that was THE BEST PIZZA HE HAS EVER HAD!! Jenny was superb in making sure to check on us every so often, making sure our glasses were always filled, and also made our 16-year old niece had a Birthday dessert! Jenny also encouraged us to sign up for the Farrelli's Club to save money on our bill! She was BEYOND SUPERB and made us feel valued! I cannot express this enough about this place, but trust me when I say, this place checks all the boxes when it comes to good pizza. Anytime I'm on the north end I have to stop by for a pint of Guinness and a 12" pie (supreme all day). The service is prompt and friendly (even during rush when tensions are running high, the staff always holds their composures and that's key). The ambiance for a waterside pizzeria is astounding (it's got a full bar so expect the average noise of sports and the like as they have tv's as well with sports on). The upstairs seating adds to the capacity of an already huge floor plan and the kitchen is open faced to the dining area (an additionally welcomed function of any pizzeria in my opinion). The ingredients are always fresh, and the pizza is just as good! It's decently priced and they know how to take care of their customers. 10 outta 10 across the board and would recommend highly. There's even a movie joint across the way to add to the night, so dinner and a movie is more than reason enough to brave Tacoma traffic. It was pretty busy today considering it was almost 90° and a beautiful day, but service was a bit slow.. friend and I ordered some drinks and it took about 10-15 mins for just those to come out.. the staff is really friendly though, so that helps! Worst Customer service ever and I experience racism in front of my five-year-old daughter. Upon writing, I could see it was pretty busy, but I was greeted by a girl named Karlee. I needed to go to the ATM before we sat down so that I could pay for my meal so I asked her if they had a ATM. She said yes, and pointing me in the direction all the while, seeing my daughter with me. When I arrived at the ATM, I was rudely and abruptly interrupted by this girl named Brandy yelling at me and telling me that I couldn't be at the ATM because it was in the bar. I simply said OK finish my transaction and left . Before I could get even 10 feet away the supposed manager whose name says Dr on it but supposedly his real name is Cody starts screaming and yelling at me that I can't have my daughter in the bar. I tried to explain to him. I just needed to come to the ATM so I could get money out to pay for our meal. My daughter really wanted pizza. Instead, he was not understanding, but instead, he was passive aggressive, made sure to have her over before me and was listening to everything that I was saying to the girl that told me where the ATM was, I was complaining because she told me to go there, and he embarrassed me in front of my daughter and told me to get the hell out of his restaurant. $150.00 worth of poor communication errors! I ordered on their website. We are literally right next door to the restaurant and I chose the one next door to me and somehow the order went to DuPont! You would think they would have called and confirmed but no, they made the pizzas anyway. I put my location, number, email address and the business that was placing this order. We love a review update! My first experience with this Farrelli's was in the midst of Covid - i.e. outdoor dining only, takeout, delivery, etc. I outdoor dined and had a great time, but I've been quite a few times since then now that things are back to some normalcy. One of the first times back was just for a drink and an appetizer (which was really great) but very quick. The next time back was with my kids, and it was great! Service was incredibly attentive and kind. I love that they bring the kids pizza dough to play with to keep them entertained - so fun! The kids meal deal is also pretty solid - $8 for a personal pizza, fruit/veggie side, a drink, and a cookie. I ordered one of those for my two kids to share (they're pretty young so it was plenty) and the staff was kind enough to bring double the sides and double the cookies at no extra cost, without me even asking! My last time in was last week for Friday night date night. The rooftop space is open and we were dying to have a drink in the sun with the amazing view of Commencement Bay, so we did just that! For a Friday night and with waiting for the rooftop space, we only had to wait 25 minutes which wasn't bad at all. The service from the bartender upstairs was really great and the atmosphere was awesome. I haven't had something here that I didn't like. The Fire Stix are delicious, Caesar Salads are great starters, and my favorite pizzas of theirs are the Chicken Bacon Ranch and the James! Both are white sauce pizzas and absolutely incredible.
