Choo Choo! Or Chew Chew?! I pass by Trackside almost every morning on the Sounder and have always wondered what was on the menu. Finally got the opportunity to enjoy one of their lunch specials & fix for a sweet tooth. I ordered the Weekday Special, which had so many options it was hard to decide, but I ended up choosing the Meatball Grinder. The Weekday Special comes with a side salad and a choice of dressings. The Meatball Grinder is savory, filling & delicious! Really loved the soft bread and the red sauce. It's a two meal kind of sandwich (for me). The chocolate chip cookies hit the sweet tooth craving just right. Although not homemade (at least I don't think they are) still yummy. read more

Year two of my daughter requesting pizza for her birthday dinner (she's a picky girl LOL) so we came to Trackside yet again a year later, on the dot! Just like last year, we had a blast. The kids absolutely loved watching all of the trains pass by (and they come by often) which was a huge highlight and easy distraction while waiting for food. They let us choose our own table so we chose a table next to the window where the kids could easily see all the trains. The kids got to do the DIY pizza deal again ($9.99 per kid) and they all had so much fun. We switched up our order from last year and got the South Sounder (a buffalo chicken pizza) and the Trackside Chop with all the fixings and their vinaigrette. We loved both! The salad was so light and refreshing and we loved the dressing. The pizza was the perfect counterpart with the spicy/tangy balance from the buffalo chicken, and was loaded with tons of cheese. Bless our waitress, she was so sweet. We had all three kids with us who were, for lack of a better word, terrors. We cleaned up our best after them and she was so patient with us and assured us we didn't need to do any cleanup (though we did!!) Can't recommend Trackside enough for a casual family night out if you're nearby. Definitely worth it! read more

Love trackside Pizza, all the food is made with such fresh ingredients. Also The staff are super friendly. The downside might be that they are a little bit expensive, not too bad though, not like unreasonably expensive. It's pretty cool to be sitting there and have one of the trains come flying by it shakes the whole building it's really really cool, I had watched the newest final destination right before coming here and I was not ready to see a train come flying by at full speed. So definitely come here, don't watch final destination bloodlines before doing so. read more

This pizza was nearly $40, and when I got home I saw it was burned on the bottom with barely any toppings. The crust was so overcooked it completely overpowered the flavor, and the pizza tasted nothing like what this place is known for. I've ordered from here many times in the past because the pizza was always top-of-the-line. Unfortunately, this time the quality was nowhere near that standard. First we tried to order a cauliflower crust pizza with custom toppings but the girl waitress gave us the generic 10" version. It took so long to get it (the place was not busy at all) that we ate it. It was so spicy we ate only half and told waitress we did not want to take the rest to go. I told her it was too spicy to eat. She laughed and said yes, it's spicy. And that was all. I came in here November 3rd, The server was really attentive and very friendly. The other staff I talked to were also very friendly. I ended up ordering the South Sounder pizza, the flavor combos all the way down to the crust was very delicious. The atmosphere in this place was friendly and had a great vibe. I will say this place is definite stop in Puyallup if you want great service and great homemade pizza. I will definitely have try other dishes and pizzas they offer the next time I stop in. We hosted our baby shower here last weekend. We rented the banquet room and it came free if you spent a minimum of $300. We had about 40 people come and arranged the tables in one long row, family style. We ordered a variety of pizzas, one salad, and sodas. We spent about $450 and it was worth every penny. We weren't given a specific party host, but we were taken care of very well! There is also a bathroom and soda machine in there so you have pretty much all you need. read more

My first time trying this place, i did a pick up and I'll have to say I'm very impressed. Decor is nice and cozy. Im not sure why folks complain about this place it's very very tasty. My #1 favorite out of three we chose was "Train Deluxe" extra Alfredo sauce and extra onions. That Train Deluxe was probably my favorite pizza in WA state. I've been coming here since the place opened, and it's definitely fallen off, but its still my favorite pizza in Puyallup. Over the years this was my top Zza recommendation to people in the southend. Any visit back home to the parents calls for Trackside Pizza, but this last stop sealed its downward spiral. Typically order a 16in Chihuahua al Pacifico every time. Nice big pizza with Garlicky goodness! Started notice that last few trips the pizzas tended to get smaller. We can call inflation and that cool, but it was bit sad to see. This last trip however man the pizza that was once filling the box was now filling about half that footprint. My 16in pizza had shrunk down to a Medium, and on top of that there was barely any garlic on it, and weirdly little sausage to be found and a bunch of pepperonis. what? This used to be a really nicely balanced pizza, so to see it in that state was pretty sad. I'm not sure if the turnover in the kitchen is leading to the down trend of this place, but im hoping they get it back together. I'll still be coming here for some pizza when I'm in town, but I tread ever so slightly each time to not return. Still though, give em a try. read more

I got an order to go. The salad was delicious and huge. The "Fire Hot" wings were buffalo with absolutely no heat whatsoever. The garlic parmesan wings were lacking flavor, not enough seasoning at all. I was handed three containers of food with no bag, no silverware or napkins. I was told that they do not carry bags. Really? I spent $42 (including tip) for half of a salad and 12 wings and they can't give me a bag? When I asked for a fork and napkins, I was given attitude by the young lady who prepared my order. I left with no bag, fork or napkins. I sure am glad that I tipped the workers for putting my food in three containers and sliding them across the counter and then giving me attitude. read more

This establishment has been here for quite some time and I finally got to try it. Staff was really friendly, the food was not too bad. We had orded a salad which I didn't take a photo of because who cares about eating their veggies, but the pizza, the toppings consisted of sausage, prosciutto, pepperoni and half jalapeno. Didn't really taste the jalapeno on the pizza but overall it was pretty good. You get that family comfort dine in vibe from this place. Anyone on the south end give this place a shot! read more

A great place with great employees that will even stay past closing and make sure you get your food. Sometimes your food takes a while, but it's being made fresh to order so it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Just ate at Trackside for the last time. Holy cow, what a mess. Service is almost non-existent, which we had never experienced here before. Our dinner started off with the waiter spilling an ENTIRE glass of Dr. Pepper down my back-he kind of (barely) apologized and brought me one dry rag to clean up with. Then another server (finally) brought over the wine we had ordered-not on a tray this time but a glass in each hand. He was shaking so much that wine went down the sides of both glasses. We had to find out where the napkins, forks etc. were kept for ourselves because our requests for those items went unfulfilled. Iced tea that we ordered was really foamy and gross-we had to send it back. Both servers were very nice, but seemed completely overwhelmed and untrained. Love the pizza, it's always so delicious. My kids love making their own pizza, and prefer this pizza to anywhere else. However, service just keeps getting slower and slower. It took over an hour from when we were seated to when we got our food. By this time my youngest was loosing it and I was running out of ways to distract her from her hunger. We used 2 order from trackside all the time and absolutely loved it everytime. Recently ordered and it was beyond lackluster, paying 50 dollars plus 4 a pizza which is supposed 2 b "loaded" now comes w sparse low quality ingredients. It was not what I expected at all despite knowing what was received from the past. It's stingy, lukewarm crust was floppy. The lack of care for the customer satisfaction is apparent and idk if it's a staff thing or a margin thing but it's just not worth it imo. I wanted 2 send an email 2 the "company" but my only option was calling them which would solve nothing. The restaurant "group" I.e. crocketts has been worse and worse these days. I'm so disappointed I've been going 2 these restaurants 4 years. But I can see that ur quality ingredients take a back seat 2 ur profits or other expenses all the while we r paying the same. Pure disappointment from a "local haunt (s)" I won't be supporting ur lack of respect for the customer again. It's not like it's not good but I could get better from anywhere; what set them apart has reduced 2 status quo expectations. To start, we order a Large pizza that was made incorrectly. One of the toppings was NOT to be on it as we added another topping. When we picked up the pizza it had the wrong topping still on it along with the topping we wanted. All they did was credit an account $5 for a $30 pizza. This is bad business no matter how you look at it. They didn't offer our money back as we were on a time limit to get somewhere els. So we will NOT be back. We were seated right away, it took the waitress a while to get our drink orders taken, and then again to get our dinner ordered, but nothing that was worth crying about. Salad, we ordered the Full Chop... I will just say it was good tasting, but not worth $13.99 Pizza! I ordered the blue something (can't remember) and it was delish, I got the personal and it was the perfect size. the crust was perfectly cooked and the pizza was not over sauced, or prepared. My husband got the Hurricane 12", and he absolutely loved it! If you like spicy, this is the pizza for you! I took one bite and almost died... Our youngest did the Pie Up (kids pizza) she was too shy to go to the kitchen to put her order in with the waitress, but we enjoyed listening to all the other kids head back and yell "PIE UP" and then the kitchen echos back, it was really cute. Our oldest got the Meatball Sub, she really enjoyed it. The meatballs where great and the whole sub was flavorful and not too saucy. We passed on desserts since our girls had sodas with dinner, but they only had 3 options, Brownies, Lemon Cake, and Cookies that would have taken about 10 min to bake. Been going to trackside for years and loved it! But now it's completely Gone down hill with the new management. Won't be going back until they post that it's under new management. Service was poor. Pizza quality was poor. Place was dirty. Manager was very rude to employees while we were there too. Trackside used to have the best pizza, but now they changed their recipe and the pizza sucks. They use to use fresh jalapeños now they use pickled jalapeños. The cheese is different and the italian sausage is sub par. I reached out to them twice to see if this was an isolated incident, but they never answered so I guess they don't care. This is the third and last time I will give this place a chance. It has always taken a minimum of two hours for delivery. Taking that into account, I ordered today at 5:30. By 8:00 pm I place a call to inquire on the status. After being on hold for 7 minutes, I hung up and called again. This time I was on hold for four minutes. The person responding back said "Oh, yeah..... we're making that now." So pretty much it will be well over three hours before I receive anything. I hope they don't spit in my food. I sent a message to the manager to contact me and up to this point it had been ignored. My guess is management or anyone else for that matter doesn't care about their customers. It's been a month or two since we have been here but always dropping $100 or more on their great pie. Apparently a new recipe for crust has been added. Terrible. Cardboard. Don't know how the owner (known to be cheap and kinda a butthole according to his employee's) could get this so wrong. Crust is half the pizza! Trying to cut corners on the crust a BIG mistake. I won't go back even on a dare until I here he has corrected this main ingredient for his already over priced pies. I'll be spending my money at the much much better pie at WICKED PIES right down the road. The only downside there is that it's 21 and up. Don't understand that except it's a lot smaller. Don't waste your money on pizza at trackside. It hurts to give this review because they have always been tops. read more
