I'm giving this store two stars for the employee's service, but the manager was one of the worst individuals ever!! If you care about customer service, stay away!!! Store has buy one get one for 50% off but when we took our items to the counter, the manager told us "you're gonna have to pay regular price". After explaining to her that she was wrong she became defensive and told my wife off. The employee that assisted us attempted to explain to her that our items qualified for the sale and the manager yelled at the employee "Can I help you???" Manager finally realized she was wrong and told us we would get the discount. Time to pay- I left my ID in the car and the manager told us we couldn't pay without; no problem. Glad they're checking for my security. I run to the car to get it, then run back. SHE NEVER LOOKED AT IT OR ASKED FOR IT!! After all that my wife and I said thank you and she rolls her eyes at us and says "Hmm mmh" and walked away!! We're a Converse family. It's all we wear for shoes but I will never return to this store ever again!! read more

My first visit... I do not own any converse shoes or attire, and since JD ended up shopping here, I decided to finally check it out. He made purchases for Xmas and he mentioned that they had some pretty killer deals. Apparently, some of the shoes are unisex. Hmmm, good concept for the company's operational costs... Although, I didn't see any that I HAD to have. I did see one pair that looked super cute - pink with Hawaiian flower prints. I was actually diggin' the design, but not enough for me to spend about $40 for them. The soles felt hard, so not sure if they're comfy. I didn't feel like removing my UGGS to try them on... I did, however, find a cute emo-looking black and grey checkered cap for $5! They did have some cute shirts for cheap, but didn't have time to really look at everything. I was looking for a men's black hoodie with NO zipper for a Secret Santa gift and when I asked an employee if they carried that style, he didn't know. Then upon check out, the chick (manager) almost forgot to apply my AAA discount because she was distracted with another employee talking to her. She also had to count and recount my change to ensure it was the correct amount being handing back to me. I don't mind the fact that employees get along/joke around/whatever, but at least be professional and efficient when conducting transactions with customers. I'll return to check out the deals, though. You get 15% off your purchase if you show your AAA card or get a AAA coupon book from the mall office. read more

Converse at a Bargain!! Well, Summer of 2009 is here. Converse, in my opinion, is on the hot list with fashion! Shoes, T's, sports wear and Hats! This outlet store is not just yesterday's news, but "sports" the current fashions! Highlights: 1. The exact shoes I found at Macy's South Coast were here for 8 bucks cheaper. 2. Fantastic T-shirts for 12 bucks and less. Same with the caps. 3. Socks? 6 bucks for 3 pair of the hide socks! 4. Great sporting gear and stylish casual wear! 5. Great sale items. 3 walls were filled with 20 dollar or less shoes! There was a deal that if you buy any clothing item you got the second half off. I am not sure if this was just for Memorial Day..but you can call and find out. The staff here were all very friendly and helpful. I left here with $150 less in my pocket, but left with 4 things including a pair of shoes! Nice! read more

This Converse store is a bit smaller than the other San Diego outlet stores, but when it comes to chucks, we like to keep it basic. Just black or white chucks. I always get the fabric canvas or the leather ones. Which they had a good stock on. There weren't any workers that I saw walking around asking anyone for help. But I'd rather assist myself. I went into the store ready to buy six pairs of shoes to start off my Christmas shopping, my daughter asked the employee with me right next to her if they had a particular shoe style she was looking for? The employee liked my daughter up and down and said "no we don't have those shoes and even if we did I wouldn't sell them to you." I know that my daughter and I are both mixed and it's pretty obvious but in 2020 there's no reason to treat anyone that way. I hate to use the word discrimination but that's what this employee made us feel, we felt like we were discriminated against us because of our appearance. On a positive note, we walked over to the Adidas store and they were extremely helpful and made us feel so good about walking out of the Converse store. Needless to say I won't be buying converse anymore if this is the type of people they employee. I did get Adidas shoes for Christmas gifts after this incident. I had to give a shout out to this place for being so accommodating, especially Valerie, the manager that helped me out! I went looking to buy fourteen pairs of shoes for a good deal. (For my wedding party - cliche I know, but hey it's adorable). Anyway, when I told Valerie she immediately began asking all the right questions and grabbed everything I needed. She even separated all the transactions out so I could get the best deal possible and it ended up being super affordable!! Here's the kicker: I needed four pairs of larger sizes that weren't available at the time. Valerie made sure to get my info and called me as soon as the shoes were in. Unfortunately, I was out of town at the time and couldn't get them until a few days later. No problem: Valerie held them for me until I was able to pick them up. She even honored the deal I got on all the other pairs 3 weeks prior! This turned it to be one of the best outlet retail experiences I have ever had. Kudos, Converse. read more

Don't be fooled by this outlet store meaning there would be good prices. I bought 2 pairs of Converse for my niece and nephew in Hawaii at a skateboarding shop cheaper than they sell them here. They have a clearance section but there was nothing good. Most of the shoes are at least $40, which is still cheaper than in Canada, but definitely not a deal, and the selection is decent. They did have some cheap tshirts and I ended up getting 2 shirts for $25. read more

CONSUMERS BEWARE THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THEIR RETURN POLICY!!!! I will NEVER shop here again! I bought two pairs of shoes on August 18th and I specifically asked the cashier what their return policy was... He told me word for word their policy "merchandise can be returned for any reason for a refund or exchange within 30 days of the date of purchase. After 30 days, merchandise must be unworn and unwashed to receive a refund or exchange." Well I went back to return the shoes today on September 12th, less than 30 days later and the "manager" refused to refund me saying one of the pairs was worn. Yes, one pair was worn BRIEFLY but the policy says merchandise can be returned FOR ANY REASON within 30 days! Not only is this statement found in writing on the back of my receipt but it's also posted on the side of each of the THREE registers! The guy even started to agree with me and started PEELING the sticker off of his register saying that they needed to be replaced BUT he still refused to give me a refund! If that's your policy that's fine but it's LITERALLY written in BLACK AND WHITE, posted in your store and printed on the receipt! If this is to be assumed in the first sentence of the return policy than what is the purpose of the 2nd sentence that... AFTER 30 days, merchandise must be unworn and unwashed to receive a refund or exchange?!?!??? HE ACTUALLY SAID TO ME "Well it's not written that you CAN wear them and return them" That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard come out of a sales associates mouth!!!!!! What an idiot! It doesn't say that I have to stand on one foot, rub my tummy and pat my head while asking you for a refund either! PLEASE BY ALL MEANS LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE SHOES I TRIED TO RETURN, THEY DON'T LOOK WORN AT ALL!!! I checked out Converse at my local Kohl's, but they didn't have the style I wanted, and the styles they did have didn't have my size in stock. I also wanted to try on different sizes in my style to get just what I wanted rather than order online because Converse fit differently. I drove 1/2 hour to this Converse store in hopes of finding a wide variety of styles in all the sizes, available to buy on the spot. I was not disappointed! I have to add that I went on a Monday morning, so it was super easy to park close and the outlet mall was very uncrowded. (I wouldn't recommend it on a weekend, when people are fighting over parking spots and stalking shoppers in the parking lot, trying to snag an open space!) They had a variety of children's, women's, and men's (unisex) styles, the classics plus other interesting ones, and all the boxes were neatly organized by size so I didn't have to randomly check box stickers to find the size I was looking for. It can be hard to find my size in stock, but not here! They also had a promotion where you could get 50% off a second pair of shoes (other than the All Star classics). Other than the promotion, their prices were normal (same as you can get on converse.com with free shipping and free returns, but can't try them on!), so you'll be disappointed if you go looking for a great bargain. The store was clean and organized as well, without abandoned boxes of shoes laying around on the floor or benches. Plus the two sales people, Elena and Danny, were awesome. They were friendly and helpful without hovering or being pushy sales people. I prefer the self-service style but with an employee nearby if needed. Elena was helping another customer when I went in, but she still greeted me and offered to help in any way needed. She also checked me out, neatly putting my shoes back in their box so they looked and fit in nicely, rather than just shoving them in. I usually dislike shopping and do it only out of necessity, but this experience was great and I left with exactly what I wanted. Thanks Converse and Elena and Danny! read more

Was in about two weeks ago around 6ish on a Wednesday. Wanting to make a quick purchase I asked the employee if she could please bring me a certain size, she asked me to wait although she was just standing there chatting. Her and another customer were trying to create a photograph for instagram using the baby converse, cute but why not just help me real quick and go back to your photography. I went in to buy only 1pair of converse shoes..when I went to pay the cashier said we r having buy 1 and half off 2nd..I asked him any shoes and hr stayed yes..I went back anlooked & also called my daughter to see what style she would like..when I brought them up to a new cashier she stated that these shoes were not half off..after calling my 14 yr old daughter I didn't want to disappoint her.
