Flowers were gorgeous and felt carefully procured, that was about the extent of the good things about this place. I had placed an order over a month in advance for a Bouquet and Lei for a graduation. I ordered that both of them be in pastel pink colors. They told me the Bouquet would be $55 and that they would give me a price on the Lei when I picked it up. I thought that was strange but others recommended this shop to me so I just went along with it. Called back a few days to confirm everything was good colors and all and they said yes. Showed up the day of and they got the colors all wrong. Lei was purple flowers and the bouquet was mostly white, yellow and green with a bit of pink sprinkled in here and there. They also informed me that the Lei would cost even more than the Bouquet. If I had not been in a huge rush to get to the graduation I would not have payed them. I rarely write reviews, but I feel the public deserves to know of the deplorable service I received at Franco's last week. Franco's has always been my go-to florist for arrangements, bouquets, and fresh cut flowers, so I immediately went there to look for some fresh cut flowers and vases for a surprise party I was co-hosting. I summoned help from a girl named Crystal and could tell right from the start she had a horrible attitude and was none too happy to assist me in my search. Since I was in the early party planning phase, I explained to her what I thought was needed, along with budget constraints etc. I purchased 5 round vases and a small bouquet of light pink roses, which matched our color scheme of the party. Crystal informed me that they only get floral deliveries ONCE a week, which was shocking to me, but she was insistent that these roses would last in their refrigerator case until the party, which wasn't until 5 days later. I was a little reluctant and hesitant because I wasn't sure about the condition of the flowers, but I paid for everything up front, as these were the only light pink roses, and told her I'd be back on Monday to pick up the pre-paid roses, along with some other flowers for the arrangements. As the party planning went on, we discovered we only needed 2 vases, so we left the other 3 in their sealed boxes. The receipt clearly states (see attached pic), that "All claims and returned goods MUST be accompanied by this bill." When we returned on Monday to pick up the flowers and return the vases Crystal was present. She became extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional stating they had a No Return Policy. I showed her the receipt and she kept pointing to a small sign above the table with vases. To meet her half-way, I told her I'd even be willing to take a store credit, but she became more unreasonable. What baffled me the most, is she is the one who sold me all these vases a few days before, so why did she not mention their "no return policy" then, even though their receipt clearly states returns must be accompanied by bill. To make matters worse, when she brought the roses out of the refrigerator, they were half dead, petals were already browning. To our shock and disbelief, she told us to pick off all of the brown petals, as she was not going to be able to return the flowers, either. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and unprofessionalism and will NEVER shop there again. She informed us that her last name was "Franco" and what a horrible representative for this once lovely florist. read more

It's been almost a year since my wedding and I realized that I was remiss in reviewing Franco's Flowers. I did all of my own flowers, including displays, my husbands boutonnière, and my bouquet. I got a ton of gorgeous greenery and flowers for a very reasonable price and was able to find items that fit into our "SoCal boho neutral casual" theme. They even had proteas which made our arrangements unique and stunning. I used to come here to get all my bouquets and flower arrangements. For moms birthday and Mother's Day. I loved it! They had a great selection and low prices. I came today to buy an arrangement for a coworker and I am extremely disappointed. It's super expensive now. They don't have much to choose from and I left with the smallest ugliest and saddest bouquet I've ever bought. I'm embarrassed to give to my coworker. I live in national city and I made the drive here because I've always been satisfied and I'm leaving extremely dissatisfied. I will be sticking to the small shop by my house from now on.
