I brought it to store hoping they could exchange or refund but according to the store manager the purchase was outside the return or exchange policy, I understand if you buy something and it doesn't fit but if you purchase something at a high price and the product is defective, they should be able to take their defective stuf back. read more

Horrible services . I was the only person there doing returns and some exchange at that time. The lady was telling me I can't do the exchange because is missing a tag. She said I can order online or she can do it. So I told her " can you order it for me" but then she told me I have to wait until everyone who were behind me , purchased their clothes first then she is able to order it for me. I told her " but I was the first person here asking for help, why I have to wait for all the people paid their clothes first and then you are able to help me?" I jsut don't get it. This location is usually pretty well-kept and the employees are always willing to help you find something. The interior is well organized, color coordinated and the dressing rooms have useful floor-to-ceiling mirrors. I love nice clothes and have no problem paying for them, but sometimes you need to ball on a budget. For the most-part, even when you're strapped for cash there are some fresh garments on the sale rack. You can get a $50 button-up for $20 and dress to impress. Lucky for me, I was able to take advantage of black Friday by snagging gear for my wife and myself at unbeatable prices for the quality. Purchasing only 5 items I saved over $150 bucks. Keep your eye out for discounts and sales, otherwise you'll be rocking a $40 polo shirt that I only had to pay $20 for. read more

This would be a 5 for for the simple fact that I've gotten 3, 3-piece suits there for 40% off each time. I'm like a predator awaiting those deals to be emailed to me. As I build points I used these awards ($15 increments) to offset costs even more. Contrarily- the rest of their mens clothing is scarce or covered with their trademark dragon.. Which for me is a no-go. There is no in between for mens and "boys" as far the "maturity" of what they have to offer. Either way my suits have set me apart dramatically at the places if wore them. Compliments galore. So 5 star suits (the photographer line)... 3 for the rest... And a 4 for the womens clothes. I buy my wife a ton from there. Service is reputable -- but at a place like this I prefer to be left alone rather than bothered by employees with earpieces and the replay of whatever techno-ish stuff is playing. read more

This store is nice as well. kinda messy inside, but I mean, with crazy sales going on a dumb meat-head jackass marines running around the store, how are you going to control it all. So last monday I went into the Express in the Carlsbad mall to get some work pants. I found a style I liked but they had every size but mine. The girl working the floor told me to go to a different Express because they have the size in stock. So I left the store and was about to get into my car when I decided to go back and have them call to see if they really had it. I asked the girl at the register to call and she said "why? we have a ton of them in the back!" I told her what the other girl said and her reply was"oh yeah shes lazy". I used to shop at Express so much in the past. I think their prices have been rising steadily because I don't understand how I used to shop here as a broke college student but now I find the items to be expensive. I have an Express card and they send me coupons but it irks me so much that you can only use coupons on full priced items; you cannot use it on anything that is on sale or clearance. The clothing is good quality and it will last a long time so that is why Express as a brand gets high marks from me. At this location the staff does seem snobby though. I feel like they look down at me when I walk in like I can't afford these clothes. It's not overt racial profiling or stalking me as if I am going to shoplift but there's just something about the way the greeter looks at me that I don't like. The Escondido Express isn't like this. Maybe they are more used to Mexicans in Esco. read more

After shopping in this store for almost two years I have to say that the staff are consistently snobby and unhelpful. I can't remember a time where someone helped me in any way unless I sought them out, then they acted like I was bothering them. I got really terrible customer experience in this store. I bought few things over here. Everything was good (except some minor issues with unpleasant, sad cashier but its ok everybody have bad day) until I get back home (I live 1 hour away from that store) and realize that cashier forget to remove security lock from 2 pants that I bought. So I drive 1 hour back to the store asked for manager, explain her that her cashier make big mistake and that really destroyed my whole day. All I was waiting is understanding and apologize. She said well sometime it happens, sorry I have another customer, buy. By the way that cashier dint even try to talk to me and it was not many customers that time. I was working in customer service for few years and Im customer in different places but I never faced that unprofessional and terrible attitude to me. Feel really bad about that I hope some high lvl person will look to this comment and make some right decision about that. It started off quiet and out of nowhere people poured in. The store appeared to only have two Sales associates. They both seemed extremely busy but regardless of the fact, Jeremy, was a great help. Multitasking, and providing extreme quality customer service. First of all, Merchandise selection at this location is not the best. Although employees are willing to check on you and offer help most of the time, their attitudes are catty and rude. I had one associate straight up lie to me claiming I couldn't use my reward because I had a whole dollar and change left over. Not true! He then attempted to shame me for writing a check to pay my Express credit card probably because he didn't know how to process it. On a separate occasion, I was shopping for a gift and the associate at the registers made me go back to the sales floor and retrieve another item since the tag on mine was missing Even though I had told him there were no others. He told me to check again if not bring back any other one. At the end of my transaction I asked him for some tissue and a gift box and he made it very clear that he was put out by rolling his eyes while putting the boxes in my shopping bag, which he suggested I use as gift wrap, and providing me with two sheets of tissue when I had four items to wrap. I don't expect red carpet treatment at these types of stores but I know that Express prides itself on high level customer service standards and offers courtesies so I usually try to avoid this location due to the attitudes of the employees. read more
