I love, love, love Ohana Creations! I've bought items here and there throughout the years. I love the products they have - straight from Hawaii. Plus it's always fun to look around. THIS time was extra special for me - I'd ordered 8 leis for my father's memorial service. He lived much of his life in Hawaii, so we had everyone wear Hawaiian shirts to his service. It was beautiful. We bought these leis for close family members to wear there. It was SO special. They were beautiful and fresh and were ready that morning, just in time for me to pick them up and take them to the church. Every employee involved that I spoke to was super helpful and respectful and watching them hone their craft in front of my very eyes was super impressive. I'm so glad you all are here in Carlsbad. This is the cutest little store in Carlsbad! They have real authentic Hawaiian products! They have beautiful flowers that you can order online and pick them up at the store, they might even have delivery! The owner was on the phone when I arrived and I was patient until he finished his phone call and then I bought some guava body lotion for $6.99. I came back last week again and bought more stuff. I really need to go back to Hawaii! But until then, I'm happy this store is just 34 miles away! read more

I highly recommend this florist! I called late Friday evening, looking for a lei for the next day. They had leis in stock and he saved me one for pick up the next morning. The shop opened at 10 AM but the graduation ceremony also started at 10 AM. I got there a few minutes early and the nice gentleman open the shop early and invited me in to pick up my lei. I was able to get to the graduation a few minutes past 10 and I did miss any of the ceremonies. Thank you for being so helpful! read more

I brought a picture in to have a courage recreated from a Prom picture from 40 years ago. It was very simple with red roses, white carnations and baby's breath. I paid $35 for it ( for red roses, white carnations and baby's breath) which I thought was over priced but I didn't say anything and went ahead with the order. What I got was all carnations. There were no roses, it was all carnations. Don't charge me for roses when you use all carnations and no roses. Very disappointed. read more

I always use this florist in Carlsbad when I send birthday flowers to people in the area. Generally I use Allan's Flowers throughout California, but in Carlsbad this place is so good I always go here. The orchid arrangements are spectacular and I always get lots of compliments from my friends when I send their arrangements. They are right in the middle of Carlsbad Village, but also very convenient to order online. read more

This place is a hero of the Carlsbad community for YEARS. We have ordered leis for our kids and friends' kids for years, and I'm embarrassed that I haven't yet written a review. We have also ordered arrangements for pickup and delivery. EVERYTHING is high quality, lasts for so long, and most importantly, the whole family that works here are so kind and helpful. Our youngest graduated this week and we ordered a lei. They had a vendor delivery problem and our lei wasn't ready in time, but they worked their BUTTS off to make sure it was finished for CHS grad line up and followed us out the door trying to give us a partial refund despite us trying to refuse it. These are solid business owners who care so much about their customers and community. We are forever loyal! Whether you are in town temporarily or you are local, this is the place for beautiful flowers. And if you are ordering for delivery, you NEVER have your worry that they will be low quality when they arrive to the recipient. They only deliver the best. There's a ton of Leis here to choose from and often the materials are shipped from Hawaii or overseas. So you won't have to worry about your kid having one of those hibiscus things that all of their friends are going to have around their necks. But if that's your thing Ohana can still help you out. Ohana Creations has been my "go-to" for many years for leis. This was the first time I was gong to travel a lei so I ordered an orchid lei. Not only was it beautiful but it looked elegant for 5 days! I kept it in the original container and then put it into a soft travel cooler with ice packs. 22 hours later it went into the refrigerator and then was gifted the next day. Needed ti leaves for a rope lei I was making for my friend's fiancée to wear on their wedding day, so I stopped here sure they'd have some for me to purchase as I remember my mom used to order Leia and lei po'os for mine and my sisters' graduation ceremonies. Got here right as they opened, so their computer wasn't up and running to speed for me to check out with my card, but no bother as it gave me a chance to look around their small, but full-of-fun-finds store. Made little conversation with the woman and gentleman behind the counter about my daughter's halau as well as my reason for buying the ti leaves. Very friendly people! I am a day of wedding coordinator and we were having a wedding in Carlsbad ..Long story short at the last minute we lost six boutonnieres! The bride did not have a florist ( her mom made them) so....called the store in a panic to see if they could create some sort of white flower so we could put on the groomsmen! The owner was completely sympathetic and work quickly to get me the six boutonnieres in 15 minutes ! she was wonderful and did not charge me very much at all to fix this huge predicament we were in! I wanted to love this place especially after they came highly recommended by a close friend. There was NO spirit of Aloha with my experience here :-( I placed an order over the phone, then realized I needed to make one small adjustment to the order. I called back within 20 minutes of my first call and asked if I could change it, the female owner was extremely unkind about and rude to me about changing my order (even though it I was placing it almost a week before we needed the items) When we arrived to pick the order up later that week, we walked in and the owner looked right at us, then turned her back to us and didn't say a word to us as she ate some food... After about 5 minutes the male owner finished with other customers and got our order to ring us up. When he opened the box to show us the flowers, my heart sank. They looked like they were made two days earlier and were already wilting :-( I was devastated but stuck with them as my daughter needed them for Prom a couple hours later. To top all of this off- the total cost was $15 MORE than what their website said it would be. I paid $50 to be treated poorly and send my daughter to Prom with a wilting corsage :-( read more
