Double Scoop (Milano & Coconut) with Cone.
Cindy Z.

While walking the boardwalk, we stopped in for some ice cream. You order and pay first and then proceed to the counter with your receipt to get your ice cream. It was a bit confusing because usually I like to see what flavors are offered in order to decide how many scoops I wanted to order. I ended up getting a Double Scoop ($7.50) plus cone (+$0.50). For flavors, I got the Milano and Coconut. They did let me sample flavors, which was nice. It was busy too, so felt rushed trying to pick my flavor and go. Nice spot to grab some ice cream to cool down while strolling the boardwalk. I wish they had some more flavors, but decent overall.

Strawberry mango regular cone

Decent gelato and the price was semi affordable. The lines were fast and the staff were diligent with multiple orders. Since I had a small group, just ordered all together gelato regular cones. Then we told the gelato handlers two flavors. It's a small store with small variety of flavors and other options besides cones and cups. Make sure to grab napkins because it melts fast. The classic coneys cones are always a light option on a hot day on the boardwalk.

I'm not an expert on gelato but this place definitely has some good gelato. Stopped in on a sunny Saturday and was served with a smile by the staff. It is a bit small inside the establishment and a better controlled flow can be worked on but no issues on getting in and out. Can't wait to come back and taste their Milano cookie vanilla.

It's a quite nice establishment on the Coney Island boardwalk. Ordering system is kind of old school but totally fine by me. You pay for the scoops first, get a ticket and hand it to another person who will now scoop your flavors. Non-diary options are Strawberry and Mango FYI. I got the Coney Island Custard, Milano Cookie and Pistachio. I normally avoid Pistachio flavored things because they're usually artifical and super neon green. The one here is more natural looking and it indeed tasted quite nice. Not into the Milano Cookie myself. Also the gelato melts crazy fast: I know gelato melts faster than ice cream, but my gelato started melting already as soon as I stepped outside the shop. I'll stick with my usual ice cream.

Affogato

Was my affogato a little pricey? Yes, but that's what you have to expect from a popular tourist area. The espresso was good, and the ice cream was great - I got it with Milano cookie ice cream and I have no regrets Shop set up is a little weird. You pay in advance and then give your receipt to an employee who actually fills your order. I'm used to ice cream shops where they fill your order first and then you pay. Can cause the line to back up if there's a big or slow group of people in front of you, but then again, that's any line. It all works out.

Stopped here yesterday on our day trip to Coney Island. A lot of people were working which made the line go extremely fast. For $4.50, I received a kid's scoop of chocolate gelato with chocolate sprinkles. It was extremely pricy for the size I got, but the scoop was more than enough for me. The gelato was fine but I've ate much creamier gelato in the past. The sprinkles had a weird taste which turned me off. If you're on the boardwalk and in need of a sweet treat, check out Coney's Cones. Just don't get the chocolate sprinkles!

Stopped in on a hot day for a little cold treat! The custard strawberry combo was delicious. It was about $8 for two scoops. They had some fun flavors. The strawberry tasted a little artificial but still tasty.

The staff was great and efficient. The atmosphere of the shop was also youthful and bright! The gelato is absolutely tasty, and if you're a fan of nutella, the hazelnut is at the top of my recommendations list.

You're on Coney Island having fun and getting some sun. What else can make a good day even better. ICE CREAM. The service was cool and the line wasnt too crazy, this place has many flavors to choose from. The staple flavors, I kinda wished they had some crazy flavors you've never tried before but even so, that's ok. It was still good.

It's a good sweet treat when you're craving one on the boardwalk. You have gelato and sorbet and many to choose from. Use to come here a lot when I worked at Coney Island for their iced vanilla lattes and those lattes were absolutely delicious!! Feels good to come back and taste their gelato again. I got the kiddie scoop which is one scoop for about $5 which is on the steep side. I believe 2 scoops is almost $8 but for the amount it's alright not too crazy. It does melt ridiculously fast so for sure eat and enjoy quickly. No seating area so you just pay first place your order and walk and enjoy it. Service was quick no line when I went but I remember before when there would be lines there be hardly no wait either.

My friend and I visited Coney's Cones. I have passed by many times on the boardwalk. They don't provide samples. I got the 3 scoop for $8.50 with a cone. I got the pistachio, coney custard, and mango. The pistachio flavor had a good flavor but the pistachio nuts on it were a bit stale. The coney custard barely had flavor. The mango flavor tastes somewhat like the frozen mangoes that aren't too sweet from Costco. My friend got the pumpkin spice flavor and it was okay but I wasn't a huge fan of the fall flavor either. The flavors were underwhelming and not creamy. The waffle cone was crunchy though.

Great spot for ice cream on Coney Island! I went on a hot Saturday, and the line for this place was absolutely crazy! Even though the line was long, it moved relatively quickly and we were able to get to the front of the line in about 25 minutes. They have a wide selection of flavors, and they even have granitas! I ordered the Chocolate Hazelnut in a Kiddie Cone, and it was the perfect amount for 1 person. The ice cream tasted just like nutella and had a super thick and creamy texture. It melted really quickly since outside was about 85F, but it was delicious while it lasted!

The drink had the perfect balance of flavor--not too sweet, very refreshing, and the green tea taste came through nicely. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, just the right texture. The menu is pretty expansive and covers what you'd expect from a boba place, including fresh fruit teas, brown sugar bobas, yakult drinks, matcha ones, and the normal milk teas. It's interesting that the drinks only came in one size according to the type. I ordered a honeydew milk tea, and tried to get it as a small or medium, but they only had large. Boba was also an extra 75 cents. The drink itself was ok, it was both very sweet and watery. You couldn't taste any tea flavor. The boba was below average and there was hardly any in the drink. It didn't even fully cover the bottom of the cup. They were pretty soft, but didn't have any flavor. My friend got the standard milk tea and it also tasted pretty watery. The service was also pretty slow. The woman who took our order was a bit rude and we had to actively try to flag her down, even though the restaurant was empty. Overall, I wouldn't come back for boba. Tbar, which is nearby is a much better alternative.

With little kids in the group, we knew we'd make a ruckus so we got a private room to contain our group's shrieking laughter, which worked out very well. The staff was really accommodating and the prices per hour are very affordable. We picked out some familiar games like Exploding Kittens, Catan, Jenga and Scrabble, but also a handful of new games mostly made by the same company who created Exploding Kittens. Those games are always fair and easy to learn. We ended up liking Throw Throw Burrito so much we purchased the game for ourselves at Target so we could have it for our weekend family trip. We also ordered a handful of bites, like popcorn chicken, fries, and bubble tea. The food is nothing to write home about, but food is not the reason most people visit Next Move Cafe. For a fun day of gaming with a small group, consider NMC, where the prices are low, the games are plentiful, and the staff is ultra sweet.

The star of the show: purple yam souffle with vanilla ice cream is chefs kiss!! I thought I couldn't like any dessert more than their chocolate molten lava cake but this one definitely takes the spot. Top two desserts they have! Even when I had lava cakes at fancy establishments, it doesn't hold a candle to prince tea house! Their crepe cakes are also alright but I've found the to be less unique and enjoyable especially the brown sugar boba which sometimes comes out in clumps hard to pour onto the cake. Their food selection is decent for sandwiches like chicken katsu and also fries. Their fruity teas aren't my style but their hot milk teas are amazing. The lavender green tea was more green tea which was disappointing, hoped to taste more lavender. The best one is the rose lovers milk tea, literally perfection each time. Unfortunately, this place may no longer be my usual. My favorite part of this place is that the serves don't really care about you in the sense that the bring you food and leave you alone. However, they now impose mandatory 20% tip on all tables even for table of 1 or 2. This location only. As someone who realizes the servers here simply bring food and nothing else here (which I actually love as I don't like to be bothered) but expect a high mandatory tip, this is not the way to go. Especially since there have been numerous occasions where servers are nowhere to be seen and refuse to service you for something as simple as napkins or a check if they're not your server, this is an absurd addition. Definitely visiting less now that this happened. The most bothersome is that it's mandatory. Doesn't seem right/ethical and makes it feel less genuine. Had the pleasure of visiting other prince tea house locations and the service seems better, even water without asking, surprising cash discount, and most importantly: don't impose this mandatory tip! Not sure what changed here but not what it used to be with this and it needs to change. TDLR: -best options here: rose lovers milk teas, chocolate lava cake, purple yam soufflé -major con: new mandated 20% tip!! on all tables, even table of 1 or 2, which is unheard of at other prince tea house locations and even fancy restaurants!

Didn't taste well either, clearly not fresh and disappointing compared to last time with the same exact order. Also tried something new: the ovaltine toast. It was alarmingly small and didn't have as much flavor as was hoping.
