I went to my local Carvel branch to pick up an ice cream cake for my Dad's birthday. -Staff is young (teens maybe) but helpful -They assisted with the writing on my cake and let me pick color -This branch has the flying saucer specials (BOGO, 50% off if you buy a cake) -ended up with a small square ice cream cake, which is their smallest which was $18 -the cake is what the cake is - an American classic with the oreo bits Need a birthday cake last minute? I wouldn't hesitate to coming to this Bath Ave Carvel

Came to grab a birthday cake for hubby with hubby (not a surprise). He insisted on a plain cake (because he don't eat baked goods so an ice cream cake sounds great!). We arrived and looked at their vast options and chose this plain round cake with blue frosting (blue not pink since he is a boy). There was a small cute snowman cake (but too small) and I reminded him that he wanted a plain cake-- I should had gotten it because it was the first time he showed interested. Staff was helpful and wrote "Happy Birthday" on it for us. No candles provided or offered for purchase. I guess we got used to Tous Les Jours bakery that provides a plastic cake knife with some cheap candles. I haven't had ice cream cakes in so long and remember the chocolate crunchies being the best part. Their cakes now have less crunchies than they used to have. I wish there was more.

Due to the Coronavirus, this birthday gathering was a small one. Typically, we are 9 of us celebrating another year. My favorite Shakespeare's quote is "with mirth and laughter let old wrinkles come." I'm always the optimistic one among my friends. I'm thankful for all the texts pouring in when I woke up. It's good to know I'm loved and appreciated. It's nice to get gifts and all. But I think the most valuable gift I received from a friend wasn't a physical item. It was a motto to live by. "It's when you let yourself be vulnerable around someone that when you build a closer relationship." Anyway, thanks Carvel for making my cake. I love the pistachio/vanilla with chocolate crunch.

We wanted a small birthday cake so we picked up a simple square shaped ice cream cake (vanilla/chocolate) from Carvel. The staff was very helpful and patient in assisting us with the selection. You can never go wrong with Carvel, we all enjoyed the cake!!!

False hours of operation. It was 10:06pm and the sign said closes at 11pm. They didn't want to sell me ice cream saying they were closed. If they can't be honest with their hours this carvel bis definitely rotten to it's core.

Specials in the store. I always forget what days are what so I finally took a picture to share!

Love this Carvel location! They have so many different treats that keep you coming back. I love their flying saucers and small pre-packaged sundaes. Their pistachio ice cream is far superior to any other brand. The prices have risen so you can't make this trip too often but when you go you know you will be satisfied. Nothing ever beats Carvel's birthday cakes with the crunchies in between the vanilla and chocolate ice cream, this will always be the best.

    Sweet Carvel!

I often go to Carvel to buy ice cream; it's especially delicious! There are many flavors to choose from, and they're all very tasty.

The drink had the perfect balance of flavor--not too sweet, very refreshing, and the green tea taste came through nicely. The tapioca pearls were soft and chewy, just the right texture. The menu is pretty expansive and covers what you'd expect from a boba place, including fresh fruit teas, brown sugar bobas, yakult drinks, matcha ones, and the normal milk teas. It's interesting that the drinks only came in one size according to the type. I ordered a honeydew milk tea, and tried to get it as a small or medium, but they only had large. Boba was also an extra 75 cents. The drink itself was ok, it was both very sweet and watery. You couldn't taste any tea flavor. The boba was below average and there was hardly any in the drink. It didn't even fully cover the bottom of the cup. They were pretty soft, but didn't have any flavor. My friend got the standard milk tea and it also tasted pretty watery. The service was also pretty slow. The woman who took our order was a bit rude and we had to actively try to flag her down, even though the restaurant was empty. Overall, I wouldn't come back for boba. Tbar, which is nearby is a much better alternative.

With little kids in the group, we knew we'd make a ruckus so we got a private room to contain our group's shrieking laughter, which worked out very well. The staff was really accommodating and the prices per hour are very affordable. We picked out some familiar games like Exploding Kittens, Catan, Jenga and Scrabble, but also a handful of new games mostly made by the same company who created Exploding Kittens. Those games are always fair and easy to learn. We ended up liking Throw Throw Burrito so much we purchased the game for ourselves at Target so we could have it for our weekend family trip. We also ordered a handful of bites, like popcorn chicken, fries, and bubble tea. The food is nothing to write home about, but food is not the reason most people visit Next Move Cafe. For a fun day of gaming with a small group, consider NMC, where the prices are low, the games are plentiful, and the staff is ultra sweet.

The star of the show: purple yam souffle with vanilla ice cream is chefs kiss!! I thought I couldn't like any dessert more than their chocolate molten lava cake but this one definitely takes the spot. Top two desserts they have! Even when I had lava cakes at fancy establishments, it doesn't hold a candle to prince tea house! Their crepe cakes are also alright but I've found the to be less unique and enjoyable especially the brown sugar boba which sometimes comes out in clumps hard to pour onto the cake. Their food selection is decent for sandwiches like chicken katsu and also fries. Their fruity teas aren't my style but their hot milk teas are amazing. The lavender green tea was more green tea which was disappointing, hoped to taste more lavender. The best one is the rose lovers milk tea, literally perfection each time. Unfortunately, this place may no longer be my usual. My favorite part of this place is that the serves don't really care about you in the sense that the bring you food and leave you alone. However, they now impose mandatory 20% tip on all tables even for table of 1 or 2. This location only. As someone who realizes the servers here simply bring food and nothing else here (which I actually love as I don't like to be bothered) but expect a high mandatory tip, this is not the way to go. Especially since there have been numerous occasions where servers are nowhere to be seen and refuse to service you for something as simple as napkins or a check if they're not your server, this is an absurd addition. Definitely visiting less now that this happened. The most bothersome is that it's mandatory. Doesn't seem right/ethical and makes it feel less genuine. Had the pleasure of visiting other prince tea house locations and the service seems better, even water without asking, surprising cash discount, and most importantly: don't impose this mandatory tip! Not sure what changed here but not what it used to be with this and it needs to change. TDLR: -best options here: rose lovers milk teas, chocolate lava cake, purple yam soufflé -major con: new mandated 20% tip!! on all tables, even table of 1 or 2, which is unheard of at other prince tea house locations and even fancy restaurants!
