Omg I haven't even eaten any of the quart yet but I've never seen this, they barely filled the container 3/4 of the way full! The cashier was too lazy to scoop it out! Terrible service! Bs.

No frills Italian ice stand. Each flavor packs an amazing flavor. Quality is top notch. The owner is super chill and gave great flavor recommendations. No, they don't offer samples or take card. But I wouldn't skip out on Dolly's if you're in the neighborhood. A true gem.

BOTTOM LINE: go...now...what are you waiting for? TIP/S: They serve icees, ice cream and milkshakes. There are to-go pint & Quart containers ...WHO: moi and my peeps WHY: because icees taste happy WHAT: (Deets) Malibu Bay Breeze (yep, like the drink) and Mint Chip are always winners and my go-to flavors. The fruit flavors have little bits of fruit inside, adding awesome texture and mouth feel. I do like the strawberry cheesecake and various Oreo flavors. My recommendation? Have one flavor you're familiar with, and experiment with the other...thank me later. WHEN: April though October WHERE: take away, there are typically two 2-seater benches in front of the store front. HOW: car/ bike/ public transportation, bus: B100 BATHROOM: none WIFI: I dunno DRESS CODE: as you like SERVICE: cordial, pretty prompt. Prepare for long lines, but resist being put off by it, it moves pretty quickly

My mother and I both hadn't been since the shop moved and we have been missing out. I used to go all the time with numerous family members and sky blue had always been the best one and it did not disappoint in all the years I've been away. We got the pint's because we wanted just a bit more than a large and while it was more than a bit it was still so yum and delicious. My mom loved the pistachio flavor and said we have to go back any time we pass by. Seems like we're gonna be having Dolly's Ices more from now on

Great ices (the BEST graham cracker ices ever) but kind of upset that I paid for a pint and got less than that..

Dolly's is definitely as good as it gets! The original flavor array will always keep you coming back and trying new things. My favorite ice cream changes every time I visit and try something new. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!! One disadvantage is, when you approach the window you cannot help but get his with a heavy tobacco stench from cigarette smoking. I am not sure whose smoking but they shouldn't be doing it in there.

Black cherry cheesecake and pistachio ices - Look at those big bing cherries and there are pieces of cake mixed in! Amazing!

Update on 3/23/19 - I literally couldn't wait for Dolly's to re-open after their winter break. It was freezing last night, but I went anyway because I had to try the black cherry cheesecake ices, which a fellow yelper raved about. Holy deliciousness! This flavor is my new obsession. Perfectly mixed into their cheesecake flavored ices were large bing cherries and small pieces of cake! Outrageously delicious! I bought a quart and mixed in pistachio ices, which was insanely great on it's own. I threw some of it in my coffee this morning to make my own affogato! Dolly, her husband and whole family are super friendly! I love you Dolly's!

Possibly the best Italian iced in NYC. The lemon ices had zest. Very refreshing. It's not the easiest place to find, but worth it.

They had some interesting flavors and since no one was waiting in line the guy behind the counter was nice enough to let us taste some different ice-cream combos. Unbeknownst to us, combining different flavors was the way to do it! Apparently, it's a vegan icecream shop and all the flavors are vegan but it was not advertised so we only thought one flavor was vegan. Nevertheless, all the flavors we tasted were amazing. I ended up landing on a combination of Hazel and Joe and Monkey Business. I believe their flavors change so those may not be there when I go back but the combo was amazing. The flavors were unique and the ice cream tasted homemade and natural. It's near alot of restaurants so it's perfect for a sweet treat night cap!

They also have a really nice variety of flavors with some creative, unique mixes that stand out. I sampled three flavors: hazelnut coffee, grandma's apple pie, and the chai. I ultimately settled on the apple pie, which was delicious. It was creamy, well-balanced, and honestly you wouldn't even know it's vegan. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a past visit where there were refrigeration issues and communication around timing could have been clearer. We were initially told to come back in about an hour, but it ended up taking significantly longer than expected. That said, I would still come back because the ice cream itself is really good and the flavors are worth it.

When I do this; I usually find " buried restaurant treasure". On a recent visit to Prospect Park, I decided to try a different place and got off the B16 at Caton and Coney Island Avenue. The place: Lark Cafe. I was in a mood to cheat and have a toasted wheat bagel with scallion cream cheese and a Chai. I got almost everything, except, wheat was sold out and chose sesame bagel. As I waited, I wanted to check out the adjoining ice cream shop that sells Jane's ice cream, made in the heart of the Hudson Valley. I will return for a future cheat. Jane's is known for popular flavors as Killer Chocolate, Blue Zoo, Unicorn Cake. My order was ready and one bite of the bagel: heaven! The bagel was toasted to perfection and the scallion cc was delicious. And what a generous schmear! The Chai was light and frothy. As I devoured, patrons around me were typing on their computers enjoying Stumptown coffee and iced tea. LC offers a variety of tasty options: whitefish on a bagel, smoked salmon, cheddar chive biscuits, tea bread, croissants, doughnuts.. The ambience is relaxed and there is a book nook if you need a good read. Lark also hosts private events and for families there are sing along and story times. The service is kind and my bagel was absolutely made with TLC. I left Lark happy and walked straight to Prospect Park. Off the beaten path is always full of nice surprises! On top of that, the tahini dressing complemented it well. I'd definitely go to this place again.

They do have a nice selection of flavors though, like honey lavender, passion fruit, birthday cake, white chocolate, peppermint, and more. I think the bigger thing though was the staff member doing the mask under the nose thing. I know I could have said something, but I honestly don't think it should be up to the customer to tell you to wear a mask properly - I'm not a person who likes conflict and is uncomfortable telling people what to do, but it made me feel uncomfortable and later on I was even feeling uncomfortable to eat the macarons because I kept feeling like what if droplets got on these??
