Their cold brew has dark and rich notes of chocolate and almond, which couldn't be more fitting for a pastry and bake shop. Whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I try and make a point to grab a cup here. And while I've only been here a couple of times, the staff has been polite, and the coffee has been consistent - the latter being an issue for many shops. Baked doesn't try to be too cool or anything other than what it is. It's an unpretentious bake shop that offers a perfectly chilled cold brew that deserves to be savored with each sip and doesn't break the bank. It's worth making the trip even and I'll be doing so, even if I'm not exactly in the neighborhood.

The staff seems pretty familiar with a lot of the patrons that come in so I guess people are pretty loyal to the spot. I ordered a chai latte and assorted baked goods to go with it. My girlfriend has a matcha latte. Service was quick and friendly. I enjoyed all of the baked goods we had but my favorite was definitely the Turkey & Pesto Croissant. There was a generous helping of pesto inside and the herbaceous, garlicky, earthy flavor paired really well with the turkey. The croissant was nice and flaky too without being overly messy. The barista warmed it up to the perfect temperature too. If I were a local I'd probably be a regular too.

They also have a really nice variety of flavors with some creative, unique mixes that stand out. I sampled three flavors: hazelnut coffee, grandma's apple pie, and the chai. I ultimately settled on the apple pie, which was delicious. It was creamy, well-balanced, and honestly you wouldn't even know it's vegan. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to a past visit where there were refrigeration issues and communication around timing could have been clearer. We were initially told to come back in about an hour, but it ended up taking significantly longer than expected. That said, I would still come back because the ice cream itself is really good and the flavors are worth it.
