I live in San Ramon, but I came here to buy pepper spray. You're probably wondering "Whaat??" Dude, same here... I did not expect this place to sell GOOD pepper spray. I usually purchase all of my guns in Sacramento. And they have sh*t quality pepper sprays. So I asked them who sells pepper sprays, and they said uniform stores. Which also confused me. Uniform stores?? I then called Concord Uniform and asked them if they have pepper sprays. They do. But they only had the sprays for police officers. They sold out on civilian sprays. But then they told me to head over to Concord Locksmith. I thought they were tugging at my johnson when they said that, but he said he was being serious. So then I called this place, and they said they have a lot of sprays. And that is when I felt the erection coming. So I drove over immediately, and that is when I met Alvin. That dude squared me away with some REALLY good sprays for me, my little sister, mom, and girlfriend. One spray was sold to me expired, but Alvin refunded it the next time I showed up and I got another one. These sprays don't expire for about four to five years, so we're set. When buying sprays, you want something with the thumb pop up latch with the button. Not the side-locking bullsh*t. And you don't want to buy the bullsh*t Walmart gas station sprays either. These ones are the real deal. With the Asian hate crimes happening from a certain demographic of individuals in the Bay Area, this spray should hopefully protect us from the ghetto Asian-hating trash. I have a CCW, so I wanted to carry something less lethal for situations where I can stop the threat without having to pull out my gun. Alvin and I were talking about CCW's and how much of a b*tch it is to get in the Bay Area. Great guy, and it was fun talking to him. I'll be back for more. read more

Last week I called due to a problem with my deadbolt in the front door. I made an appointment. Sam called when he was on his way. He thought he could fix the lock, took it to his truck, and brought it back working perfectly. He gave me a 90 warranty, vacuumed the area, and was finished in less than 30 minutes. He assured me that my existing deadbolt was high quality and worth fixing. He showed me how to maintain it. I was so impressed with him, and his concern to do a good job and save me money. My wife and I have a stubborn dead bolt that locks our front door. Unfortunately, the lock only came with 1 key. After multiple attempts at making copies at hardware stores/kiosks, all of the keys looked EXACTLY the same as the original, but not a single key actually worked. I stopped by their store an hour later and the gentleman working the front (I unfortunately didn't catch his name) was able to tell in seconds -- literally seconds -- the misalignment of the duplicated key. I recall calling your shop because of the excellent YELP reviews. I don't doubt your shop does great work; I specifically wanted to know the cost for services. My call was answered by a woman (female voice). I inquired about getting someone from your shop to come out to my home to realign some strike plates on two interior doors that lead out to my garage; I also asked the approximate cost to have someone in your shop visit my home in the Lamorinda area to do the work. I told the woman that the two strike plates were not catching the spring bolt correctly. I told her the house was 50 years and there was minor settling of the frame. She told me there was a charge to come to my house, then there was an actual fee for the work charged by the hour plus supplies if required. I asked how long does it take to align strike plates? She said it might take a short amount of time or take a lot of time if the worker has to remove some wood around the door frame. I ended the conversation by asking " ... so what can I expect to pay?" She said "be prepared to pay a maximum of around $450.00 for the visit." I said "$450.00?" The woman said "yes!" I said "as a doctor, I don't think I get that much for a home visit!" I then said " thanks!" I then Goggled "How to Align Strike Plates." Went to OSH and bought a wood chisel and did the work myself; I had to fill the old screw holes with an epoxy resin filler and re-drill new screw holes to align the strike plates. I did an excellent job because the door locks well. BTW, my long term aim is to get a trained locksmith to change the original Kwikset door locks to a Baldwin Brass front lock (Schlage cylinder) and to replace all the other locks to high quality Schlage locks. ***For you to simply "assume" I mixed-up your shop with another shop is vindication of what the word "assume" really means: Making an "ass" of "me" meaning "yourself." read more

My wife got a new van, but it only had one key - former owner lost it. I purchased a pair of OEM fobs online, since the dealer price was ridiculous. Once the keys arrived, I called around to a few places, but the level of expertise and pricing was wildly different. I called these local guys, and they said they would do it by appointment, and gave me a quote over the phone. I got an appointment the same day, and took it over to the Colfax St location. No issues with the appointment, and the technician was careful, methodical and done in 25 minute, including paying inside. At least be honest about it and not tell me that you guys don't offer that service. Bad customer service. Then what is this description on their website about keypad locks?" "Keypad locks Locks requiring pin code credentials are an excellent and affordable single door solution eliminating the need to carry keys. Assigning one code or 100 codes will save you $$ on key assignment and replacement. I recently bought a house an needed to change the locks. I had 6 total doors that each had a different key and I thought I was doomed to having a different key to each one as I have different brand locks around the house. Tyler came by for a free estimate and said we'd be able to get down to one key if I can just change out one set of hardware - score! Honestly a great group of people, I was in dire need, my front door was damaged in the local area and I needed it fixed. They helped me out and actually went out of their way to help me and instead of doing repair that wouldn't last. They recommended that I replace the door entirely instead of wasting my money on a temporary fix. They could have just recommended that I replace the lock and they would have made the money from the repair but it wouldn't have been a good repair, instead they chose to pass on the work and making a sale to instead give me honest and good advice. I lost the key to my safe. I still had the combination, but couldn't open it without the key as well. After I spent a year lookIng for the key with no luck, I called Concord Locksmith to see if they could get it open after I dialed in the correct combination. They asked to me text them with a picture of the lock. Based on the serial number on the key lock they were able to make me a key that opened the safe that same day. I drove to their store and picked it up. It worked! So much better than them having them come to my house and crack it open. Very reasonable price considering the alternative. read more
