I needed 4 copies, and when I got home with them, I tried them all, and they all worked - sort of - I had to really push to get them in the lock all the way, and then I had to really YANK the ring attached to the key to pull them out. Each key was like that. I don't know why, and I don't want to go all the way back to the place to get them done over. The next morning I called a couple locksmiths (some of whom I still haven't heard back from), and Kobi said he could come out that morning. I called around 9:30am, he said he could be there between 11-12 and got there at 11am. He opened the car in only a couple minutes and even made me a spare key on the spot. He was super professional, had good communication, reasonable pricing, and even went out of his way to send me an invoice so I could submit it to AAA for reimbursement. I researched a bunch of brands online, but the nature of the metalwork on the door turned this into more job than I could handle. I reached out to a few locksmiths in town, some that I've had good experiences with in the past, but everyone had the same line: you'll need a metalsmith to make alterations to the door in addition to locksmith services. Turns out Alex is also a metal worker, and has a lot of experience working with San Francisco security gates. He talked me through what he referred to as a "light industrial" setup, explaining the benefits and lower energy consumption of this solution. I didn't really need a wi-fi compatible smart lock, just a dependable keypad lock that I could easily set up and add/delete individual codes on. He answered on my first call, took the time to explain what would work best for my situation, offered free advice on a second door that saved me from having to do a retro-fit, got me on the schedule only a few days after I called, and did the installation in under an hour. Will definitely call Alex/Nova Locksmith again, and highly recommend them.
