Nik is a great guy and looks out for his people. The lot is mainly family owned and is just over a couple years old. They don't push anything on anyone. They only carry quality used cars, toyota, honda, etc. First time car buyers come here!!!!! I would do anything to ensure that this review helps them receive more business! They are Great! Where to begin. I stumbled upon concord auto 1 at the end of the day. After hours of car searching I figured eh why not give the little lot a shot. With a small lot came a lot of great things. Now, the fun part. This was 3 weeks ago, and I still don't have the car completely in my possession. My bank has been so back and worth, tossing me every which way with the whole process. The first and only time I've ever felt like a dealership is run by a family member who has my back! I first came to Nik about three years ago, looking to reluctantly trade my 2012 Honda CR-V in because I needed to start driving rideshare and felt my car was just too messy to be up to par. I'd been to a couple other places who gave me a disappointing trade-in value due to a couple of paint streaks on the outside. First thing he did was grab some exterior cleaner, wipe those streaks away, and say "there's some $$ added back to your value!" He then referred me to a great detailer and trustworthy mechanic, and suggested I get the car up to par for under $1000 as opposed to trading it in and taking on a huge loan. I took his advice and couldn't have been happier! (Side note: I've been loyal to his suggested mechanic and detailer ever since! Very happy with both.) I drove my CR-V into the ground. Now I am looking for a very specific kind of car (Prius V). He informed me of a fairly common issue with that particular model to watch out for, that it seems most dealers aren't aware of. He has been keeping an eye out for that vehicle on my behalf, while I've been looking online for any and all options since I need a car ASAP. I went to a couple other dealerships to test drive, and reached out to him for advice while there. He was quick, responsive, incredibly helpful and insightful. In fact, at the second dealership, he was trying to help me find a way to buy THEIR car, but with some kind of minimal warranty so he could take a look at it and see if it had the common issue, and I could return it if it did. I ended up walking because 1) they didn't have a good short term warranty and 2) how they were going to charge me for the California cancellation option is *illegal* (Nik suggested I ask about this, and when I told him what they were doing with it he warned me it was wrong). I absolutely, 100% trust him to give me good, solid information regardless of whether it makes a sale for himself. He is generous with his time and information, and really cares to see his people in good quality cars whether he sells it to them himself or not. I am still looking, but my highest hope is that I get to purchase from him. UPDATE: He took extra time out of his day to check out the car I ended up getting, carefully inspecting it and explaining to me what he could tell by looking at it, and ultimately assuring me it was a good buy. I leaned heavily on his expertise throughout my buying process, all the way to getting his stamp of approval on a vehicle he didn't sell me. I absolutely trust him when he says he just wants to see his people happy and in good quality cars. He will always be my number one recommendation to anyone looking to buy a used car in the Bay Area, by far, and the first person I'll go to the next time I'm in the market to buy. read more

I went car shopping all over the place, first starting in Fremont where a good deal that seemed good actually turned out for the worst. It was good we didn't buy the car right away, because Nik here was so honest, genuine and blunt. He used to work for a few dealerships, so he knows the nooks and crannies of what you should do before buying a car. Today is the third time I've bought a car from Nik and Ted -- and I absolutely love my new Prius! A lot of people will TELL you they'll treat you like family, but, for Nik, it's actually true. Every time I've needed a car for our young family, he has gone way above and beyond to help us out. It's very rare to see families of all different backgrounds -- and incomes -- treated so fairly, treated with so much thoughtfulness and dignity. I set up an appointment to come see the car two days in advanced. I arrive and the car wouldn't start (not a good sign) and then it was out of gas (gas light was on), but wait it gets better. I wanted to see if Nik could be straight up and honest with me, a man. I asked him if the previous owner had a dog in the car. Nik the owner of Concord Auto 1 says "I don't know, maybe". The car looked like it was the dogs cage. There were claw marks all over the arm rest and hair in every crevice of the interior. Again with the emotional roller-coaster, we initially thought this wasn't going to work. But come Monday morning, we called back to let Nik know that we were still interested & to please continue on with our process. We then showed up to the shop & Nik brought back faith into our souls. Ervin was our first contact and made the whole car shopping for young son a pleasant experience. We purchased a car about 3 weeks ago - then our son totaled it, before knowing it was a total we drove it to Concord Auto 1 with the engine smoking thinking it was an easy 'off the insurance' fix. Nope he insisted we go via the insurance as the engine was cracked. Not being safe to apparently drive Nik allowed us to leave it there until the insurance people came. 4 days later they came and Nik was there to show them the damage etc. He was fantastic. We are hoping to buy the replacement car there also as we have such confidence in their honesty and integrity.
