I had been car shopping for 4 months, spent hours researching various brands, visiting countless car dealerships, and must have heard the car salesman pitch a dozen times. My family always told me to go through the dealerships since they fully inspect the cars and can ensure their condition, but I would have to prepare myself for a battle and at least 2 hours of back and forth negotiation before we even get to the mountains of paperwork. But their prices had become so inflated and since COVID hit, they refused to negotiate - "the price you see is the price you get".
